About the role:
For a young person who has experienced homelessness, care, uncertainty or trauma, night-time can feel like the hardest part of the day. As a Night Support Assistant in our Camden Young People’s Service, you will be part of the steady, trusted presence that helps young people feel safe, seen and supported when they need it most.
You’ll work in our supported accommodation service for young people aged 16 and over, helping to create a calm, nurturing and secure environment through the night. Day to day, this will include completing welfare checks, responding to incidents or emergencies, monitoring building safety, recording and handing over key information, supporting young people who may be distressed or struggling, and helping make sure the service runs smoothly until the day team arrive.
This is more than keeping a building open overnight. It’s about building meaningful, boundaried relationships with young people, responding with warmth and confidence, and knowing when to act, when to listen and when to escalate. You’ll be supported with training, guidance and opportunities to grow your skills, whether you’re building your confidence in youth support, developing your understanding of trauma-informed practice, or looking to take your next step in supported housing. Working closely with the wider team, you’ll help make sure our service remains a safe foundation for young people as they move towards independence, confidence and a future shaped by their own goals.
Rolling Rota pattern (subject to change according to business need)
Week 1 40 hrs: Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun: 10pm-8.30 am
Week 2 30 hrs: Wed, Thur, Fri: 10pm-8.30 am
About you:
- You have experience supporting young people or young adults facing homelessness, risk, trauma or multiple disadvantage, ideally within accommodation or frontline support settings.
- You’re confident working awake night shifts and helping to keep the service safe, calm and welcoming overnight.
- You’re able to respond calmly to challenging behaviour, safeguarding concerns or incidents, adapting your approach to the needs of each young person.
- You’re comfortable keeping accurate records, using basic IT systems and working with numerical information as part of safe service delivery.
- You bring a reliable, resilient and thoughtful approach, with the flexibility to work a night rota that includes weekends and bank holidays.

In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.
The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by funding great initiatives, finding what works and working for change - scaling and spreading the practices that make a difference.
One of the most important things we do is turn evidence into action through our change programmes, working directly with schools, local leaders and services to change practice and prevent violence. To deliver these programmes well, we need clear plans, smooth commissioning and procurement processes, accurate data and strong coordination across teams and partners.
The Programme Delivery Manager role is critical to making that happen, and it has two distinct elements:
Programme management for two Change programmes: You’ll be the hands-on programme lead for two of our main change programmes. You’ll work closely with the Change delivery team to put clear, aligned plans in place and then brilliantly manage those plans day to day, making sure everyone knows what’s expected of them and by when.
Commissioning and procurement support for the whole Change team: You’ll also be the go-to source of guidance and advice for Change colleagues who are procuring or commissioning other activity. You’ll help the team navigate processes correctly, ensuring commissioning is captured and maintained accurately in Salesforce and keep our ways of working consistent across the team. By keeping us organised and on track, you’ll help us maximise the impact of every pound we invest.
Key responsibilities
Your role has these two distinct but complementary elements. The first is hands-on programme management for two of our main Change programmes. The second is acting as a source of guidance, advice and practical support on commissioning and procurement for the wider Change team. Together, these responsibilities are essential to keeping our programmes on track and our commissioning processes running smoothly and consistently. 1: Hands-on programme management for two Change programmes

Lead programme planning and coordination:

Work with the delivery team to make sure we have clear, aligned programme plans in place, with timelines, milestones and owners for every workstream.

Brilliantly manage those plans day to day, making sure everyone knows what’s expected of them and by when, and that the team stays on track across multiple demanding workstreams.

Track dependencies and progress, flag risks to delivery early and coordinate solutions before issues become blockers.
2: Guidance, advice and practical support on commissioning and procurement for the Change team

Manage contracts and commissioning for delivery partners

Draft, prepare and execute agreements and subsequent variations with delivery partners and commissioned providers, using Adobe e-Sign where required.

Accurately input and maintain all programme data in Salesforce, including deliverables, financial commitments, payment schedules and supporting documents.

Ensure timely reporting and compliance with contractual requirements.

Resolve payment queries and discrepancies quickly, chasing outstanding invoices and reports where needed, and conduct regular data accuracy spot checks in Salesforce.

Support process improvements and ways of working

Work with the Senior Grants and Commissioning Manager to keep the team’s commissioning and procurement processes consistent with YEF-wide ways of working.

Develop and maintain simple, effective tools for planning, tracking and reporting, building on the systems we already use (including Salesforce).

Identify and suggest process enhancements to drive efficiency and consistency across our programme and commissioning operations.

Enable effective communication and reporting

Serve as the central point of contact for programme delivery, commissioning and procurement requests across the team, ensuring streamlined processes and avoiding duplication.

Provide timely responses and clear communication to internal teams and external partners to keep everything moving.

Hybrid Working Details

About You

· A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with young people, including those who identify as LGBTQ+.
· Experience of working in an organisation that provides support services to young people
· Ability to utilise personal lived experience appropriately to support young people who identify as LGBTQ+
· A proven track record of providing structured group activities which will help young people in their personal and social wellbeing.
· Experience of dealing with safeguarding concerns and following safeguarding procedures.

About the role

About you

About you
You will have solid experience of delivering evidence-based, short term low-intervention therapy to Children and Young People (8-24) in a community setting. Role summary

About the role
As Store Manager, you'll lead a shop with a committed volunteer team of around 25-30, with significant opportunity to grow the team further. With 7-day trading in place, you'll shape the shop's next phase of growth through smart planning, strong people leadership and a confident approach to risk and resilience.

In this role, you will:
- Build, lead and inspire a diverse and motivated volunteer team, championing volunteer recruitment and development to ensure the shop thrives.
- Drive income and profitability by monitoring financial performance, identifying opportunities, and maximising every area of the business.
- Deliver retail excellence through effective day-to-day operational management, ensuring compliance, efficiency and high standards across the shop.
- Maintain and evolve the shop's distinctive, design-led proposition – translating local community trends into compelling product, merchandising and customer experience.
- Act as an ambassador for Save the Children UK within the local community, strengthening relationships and enhancing the shop's reputation as a destination charity retailer.
- Champion safeguarding, risk management and compliance, role modelling our values and creating a safe, inclusive environment for volunteers and customers alike.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Proven leadership experience managing staff or volunteers in a retail or customer-facing environment (fashion or charity retail experience is highly desirable).
- A strong commercial mindset, with experience working to targets, analysing performance and adapting to drive results.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to create an engaging, welcoming in-store experience.
- Confidence using a range of IT systems, including MS Office and reporting or volunteer management platforms.
- The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, motivating and inspiring others.
- A self-motivated, flexible and resilient approach, with the ability to work at pace in a dynamic retail environment.

About the role
This role focuses on relationship building and stewardship with organisations of all sizes to drive strategic collaborations to secure the participation of volunteer mentors in our programme and other forms of in-kind and financial support. A hybrid of working from home, in the field and from office bases (often facilitated through our partners) across the North East, you will enjoy a balance of autonomous and team working while you drive forward the regional plans using your in depth knowledge of and connections within the North East.
Key responsibilities

Identify and pitch to corporate, public sector and SME partners, aligning their CSR/ESG goals with the MCR Pathways mission to secure strategic, long-term support.

Drive targeted partner engagement and information sessions to recruit high-quality volunteer mentors and consistently meet monthly regional targets.

Manage a portfolio of regional partners, delivering exceptional account management to cultivate long-term commitment and build a network of active brand champions.

Utilise regional insight and market intelligence to design and execute localized recruitment plans tailored to priority schools, employers, and communities.

Partner with communications teams to deliver targeted local marketing, networking, and social media campaigns that maximize brand visibility and mentor enquiries.
