Community Fundraising Manager

Support workers will manage a number of young people to help them to identify, plan and achieve their goals, develop relationships meaningful to them and achieve greater independence by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.
This is a Waking Night role working to support young people throughout the night at the service.
The working pattern for this role Includes: three 10-hour night shifts per week, with shift times varying between 9:30pm-7:30am and 10pm-8am.
What you'll do:
- Building supportive, trusting relationships with young people and creating a positive atmosphere
- Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
- Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
- Co-producing ongoing assessment and management of risks in collaboration with young people with an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
- Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance to support young people s to independent living e.g. budgeting, cooking, establishing a night time routine
- Supporting young people to maintain a healthy environment and where appropriate assisting them to clean their accommodation and maintain good personal hygiene
- Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents
- Managing referrals, completing assessments and obtaining and maintaining all relevant paperwork

Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser –
Casework & Training
Based at Church House, Penrith, Cumbria
We are looking for an enthusiastic safeguarding professional to join our Diocesan Safeguarding Team as a Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser - Casework & Training. Reporting directly to the Head of Safeguarding / Diocesan Safeguarding Officer, you will play a key role in our commitment to creating a safer church for all by both effectively advising on, and managing, safeguarding concerns, conducting risk assessments & implementing safety plans, and developing, coordinating and delivering safeguarding training that assists in ensuring our churches are a safer place for all.
The role involves working closely with clergy, church leaders, victims & survivors, statutory agencies, and other safeguarding professionals to promote best practices in the safeguarding of children, young people, and vulnerable adults across the diocese (including Carlisle Cathedral). You will be part of a small professional team who work collaboratively together to ensure that church life is safer for all. You will be supported in translating your skills and experience into the framework and practices of the Diocese.
To be successful, you will be a highly organised individual with excellent people skills and will demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, discretion and sensitivity. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to coach and mentor people from a range of backgrounds. You will bring professional knowledge of safeguarding legislation and regulations from your previous / current role(s) and, have direct experience of casework management in this, or a related field. You will have experience of delivering training, preferably of a safeguarding nature. You will be able to work with complex information and solve problems and, provide clear practical advice in a timely manner. You will have sympathy towards the ethos and values of the Christian faith and be able to work effectively within a Church of England setting
Salary £45,048 FTE plus 15% non-contributory pension. This post is being offered at 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE) with flexible working. Together with service users, you will develop person-centred recovery plans focused on social goals and community integration, building strong therapeutic relationships through trauma-informed and strength-based approaches. You will help individuals access local resources, attend appointments, and engage in wellbeing activities, peer support, and psychoeducational groups. Collaboration is central to the role, as you will liaise with statutory and voluntary organisations, attend clinical meetings and community events, and advocate for recovery-focused, jargon-free communication. You will ensure accurate documentation, uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards, and actively participate in supervision, training, and professional development.

We are looking for someone with NVQ Level 4 in Care (or equivalent) or at least two years' experience in a mental health setting. Knowledge of care planning, risk assessment, recovery tools, and the Mental Health Act is essential, as are excellent communication, relationship-building, and group facilitation skills.
