Job Purpose:

The Information Security and Data Protection Coordinator supports MSF UK and Ireland in the effective coordination and day‑to‑day operation of its information security and data protection arrangements. The role focuses on maintaining key records, documentation and processes that underpin compliance with data protection legislation and good information security practice, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

Working within the Transparency and Accountability (T&A) Team, the role supports the development and ongoing operation of MSF UK and Ireland’s information security and data protection framework by liaising with colleagues in IT, Procurement and other departments, and by supporting designated risk owners. The role provides practical coordination and advice to help ensure that appropriate technical and organisational measures are documented, reviewed and applied in a way that meets operational needs and regulatory requirements.

Salary and Benefits:

This is a permanent, full-time post subject to successful completion of a probationary period of three months. The salary range for this post is £30,295 to £32,930 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. The post is based in Kensington, London.

Through compassionate, courageous, and collaborative action, we implement innovative solutions to tackle housing injustice, enhance the quality of housing, and elevate the voices and experiences of groups affected by housing injustice to both local and national governments. 

About the programme

The Faith & Community Development Team supports and strengthens community and faith-based responses to homelessness across England. This role will help shape Housing Justice’s national programme of quality improvement, training and best practice for community and faith-based homelessness services, using insight from our flagship Quality assurance framework, Impact Portal, existing research, and partnership engagement to continue the development of practice standards, resources and learning opportunities for the network. 

About you

We are seeking an experienced and organised programme lead with a strong understanding of homelessness, housing policy and practice, and quality improvement. You will bring strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting and facilitating, drafting reports, quality mark standards and guidance. You will also be comfortable managing multiple priorities, managing a small team, working with data and monitoring information, and building positive relationships with local authorities, funders, sector partners and organisations in the Housing Justice network. 

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the development and delivery of Housing Justice’s national quality improvement, training and best practice work for community and faith-based homelessness services across England. You will oversee the continued development of the Quality Mark accreditation scheme for emergency accommodation providers, lead the creation of a new Quality Framework for day services, develop an Emergency Accommodation Toolkit, and deliver training, learning events and communities of practice. 

The postholder will provide leadership to a small team, with line management responsibility for up to two members of staff, and will work closely with partners to strengthen service quality, safety, effectiveness and sustainability across the sector.

About the Faith & Community Development Team

The Faith & Community Development Team supports and strengthens community and faith-based responses to homelessness across England through its national network, partnerships, training, research, funding support and quality improvement work. The team supports organisations to deliver safer, more effective and sustainable services, including shelters, day services, outreach and community hubs. 

About you

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive person. You will have good knowledge of homelessness policy and practice, strong written and spoken communication skills, including report writing, and the ability to collate and present quantitative and qualitative information. You will have excellent digital and IT skills, including Microsoft 365, Excel and Word, with the ability to adopt and apply AI-enabled productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot or equivalent) to improve ways of working.

You will also be confident in building relationships and working in partnership with shelters, day services, churches, community projects, funders, and other stakeholders. 

About the role

The successful candidate will provide essential operational, administrative and coordination support to the Faith and Community Development Team, working closely with the London Partnerships and Development Lead. They will support smooth service delivery, stakeholder engagement, internal communications, meetings and events, reporting processes, and will act as partnership manager for a small number of projects across London.

Role overview

To support and deliver the internal and external communications and campaigns with the goal of enhancing the SoA’s profile, engage stakeholders, and promote key initiatives. The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience in content creation, media and policy monitoring, digital marketing, and multimedia communications across a range of channels, including newsletters and social media. Objectives • Help to ensure consistent, high-quality communications and campaigns across all channels. • Provide support for brand visibility and audience engagement through digital marketing. • Provide support for delivering content via The Author magazine and outgoing mailers. • Support organisational campaigns, events, and key initiatives. • Monitor media coverage and policy developments, and evaluates website and communications performance. 

Key responsibilities

• Media monitoring and reporting: monitor media for relevant coverage and compile regular media reports and summaries, maintaining media contact lists and databases.

• The Author magazine and mailers: liaise with The Author magazine production team, contributors and internal departments, support with the production schedules and deadlines. Oversee the administration and invoicing for The Author advertising and subscribers. Support with distribution and performance tracking (e.g. open rates, click through rates). Provide support for development of membership mailouts including proofing. 

• Digital marketing and social media: contribute to the development of digital marketing campaigns across platforms – create and schedule engaging content, monitor engagement metrics and optimise content performance.

• Design and visual communication: produce basic graphics for digital and print (e.g. social posts, newsletters, flyers, banners). Support with the layout and visual design of newsletters and publications. Work with approved templates and design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe suite basics).

• Video and multimedia production: create and edit short-form video content for social media, newsletters, and website. Support with the filming of events, interviews, or promotional material for SoA events and campaigns. Add captions, branding, and basic effects to videos.
