You’ll be joining a large and very supportive ER Advisor Team of around 15 and partner closely with managers across the business, providing expert, pragmatic advice that drives performance, builds capability and minimises employee relations risk.

What you’ll be doing

As an Employee Relations Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering an effective and responsive HR service. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with managers to improve people management capability and confidence
• Providing expert advice and coaching on employee relations matters, including absence, performance, wellbeing and employee engagement
• Managing disciplinary and grievance cases independently, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes
• Supporting organisational change projects, including restructures, consultations and redundancy processes, in line with policy and employment law
• Building strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver practical, customer-focused HR solutions
• Working closely with HR Business Partners, Recruitment teams and external providers to deliver joined-up people solutions
• Ensuring HR policies are up to date, legally compliant and consistently applied
• Maintaining accurate HR records and systems (including iTrent) and supporting KPI reporting
• Identifying risks and gaps in ER processes and proactively recommending improvements
• Supporting establishment budget management within relevant business areas

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a confident, credible HR professional who enjoys working collaboratively and isn’t afraid to take ownership. You’ll bring:

• CIPD qualification (or equivalent relevant experience)
• Strong technical knowledge across employee relations and employment law
• Proven experience managing disciplinary and grievance cases independently (essential)
• Housing Association experience – highly desirable
• Public Sector experience – highly desirable
• Exposure to complex ER casework (desirable but not essential)
• Demonstrable experience influencing and advising senior managers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement
• High levels of IT literacy, including advanced use of HR systems and MS Office
• Coaching qualification (desirable)

Your role as Assistive Technologist:

• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to share information and expertise to plan and implement effective student programs for the purpose of developing and implementing assistive technology services.
• Facilitate student communication in social settings across environments through the use of assistive technology.
• Work with learners who qualify for assistive technology support to develop an appropriate individualised learning plan.
• Proficiently use technology to communicate, compile reports and collect data, providing accurate records and communicating with team members, parents, administration, and charity staff.

About the Service

Through a coordinated and targeted approach across Health and Wellbeing, Employment, and Community Engagement, the programme will expand vital services into underserved areas, while strengthening existing support to vulnerable groups.

The purpose of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Community Outreach Worker ConnectU St Albans role is to:

• Expand employment, health and wellbeing, and community engagement services into priority areas: Sopwell & Cottonmill, Park Street & Chiswell Green, and London Colney.
• Strengthen existing service provision for financial advice, food security, and homelessness support.
• Build strong local partnerships, volunteer networks, and stakeholder relationships.
• Deliver measurable outcomes for residents, with a focus on those experiencing deprivation and marginalisation.
• To provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients with coexisting drug and alcohol difficulties, mental ill-health, these will be clients who are presenting to the Police, Anti-Social Behaviour, Tenancy Enforcement, Housing and Environmental Health Services within Hertfordshire.
• To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• Embed a person centred and solution focused approach in all aspects of the role.
• To raise greater awareness of complex needs and the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) amongst local service providers. Supporting them to gain confidence in working positively and consistently with people who have multiple needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Encourage and support clients to participate in group activities, workshops, and community-based mental health programs.
• Provide employment-related support as part of mental health and wellbeing recovery services, including goal setting, job readiness, and workplace adjustment support.
• Assist clients in developing CVs that reflect their strengths, skills, and recovery goals, supporting confidence and readiness for employment.

• Work from the local food bank every Friday from 10:00am–12:00pm as a point of contact for individuals to access support and information, including referrals and signposting to appropriate services.
• Hold a caseload proportionate to working hours, delivering support through home visits and community-based interventions.
• Provide practical support by transporting clients to external appointments to reduce barriers to access and promote wellbeing.

Primary Teacher with Therapeutic Experience - Oasis Nurture – Oasis St Martin’s Village

Oasis St Martin’s Village

Oasis St Martins Village is part of Oasis which is a group of organisations, committed to building stronger communities. Oasis St Martin’s Village, based in Tulse Hill, is a new and exciting project, working in partnership with other organisations in an integrated way, to provide opportunity and pathways for children and young people.

The vision of the Village is to transform the life-chances of children, who are struggling in or not coping with mainstream education, by offering them and their families support and opportunity.

Our work is based around the principle that “it takes a village to raise a child”.

Oasis Nurture

Oasis Nurture is a project that is carried out on the Village. It is a therapeutic intervention designed specifically for those children who might be described as the missing middle – those who do not meet the threshold for an ECHP but who nevertheless struggle to engage with the curriculum for a variety of reasons.

Oasis Nurture is in its pilot phase, working with four local schools, offering a two day a week intervention to a small group of children.

As a Teacher, you will be working with a maximum of six children supported by a key worker and a therapeutic practitioner. You will work alongside a therapeutic lead and a clinical lead.

In this role you will be:

· Working with the home school and parents/carers to understand the children’s needs and developing agreed goals for learning and emotional and social development

· Developing a basic curriculum for Key Stage 2 children for numeracy and literacy, related to their stage learning at their home school, so that they don’t fall behind.

· Providing a personalised, bespoke and restorative approach for each individual child to help address their challenges and fulfil their potential. 

· Maintaining clear and accurate records for individual children on the designated online systems and reporting back to the home school and parents/carers on the agreed goals

· You will also be working with the Therapeutic Lead to provide opportunities for mindful therapeutic care to remove barriers to learning and provide emotional support to access the curriculum. While this role requires primary teaching experience it also requires someone who has experience of working in trauma responsive ways and understands the therapeutic needs of children who struggle to engage.

Oasis Nurture is not an Alternative Provision; it is a part time intervention designed to support local schools and children and their families. Oasis Nurture is not a statutory provision and does not therefore follow teachers’ pay and conditions. Oasis offers all the usual employment benefits including sick pay and pension.

As a core member of the Executive Team, the Director of Development will lead on organisational income generation and operational development. • Develop and execute quarterly campaigns plans to manage and schedule relevant advocacy, policy and research work to further our strategic aims

Role outline and purpose

The Senior Policy & Public Affairs Manager will be accountable for overseeing public affairs activities, policy development and supporting influencing activity to advance the goals of the Supportive Communities programme.  The role will plan and lead public affairs activities, policy development and support influencing strategy and activities, providing in-depth expertise across the programme with a specific focus on our emerging community design priorities and our work with a range of stakeholders, local/regional decision-makers and national policy-makers in the communities space.

This role is part of Trussell’s Supportive Communities programme, the goal of which is to enable local communities to become places where people at risk of needing to use a food bank are supported and are using their agency to bring about meaningful changes that prevent anybody from needing emergency food.  This role is focused on the successful delivery of the overall programme outcomes, contributing to the fulfilment of our long term vision of a UK without the need for food banks.

Role responsibilities

· Lead public affairs activities linked to the Community Design portfolio within the Supportive Communities programme, including developing and delivering an effective public affairs strategy reaching key decision-makers including parliamentarians, mayors and local authority leaders.

· Work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders from the sector and among policymakers to shape and deliver the programme’s policy strategy.
