Job description

The Third Age Trust provides advice and information to u3a committees, members, council representatives and general enquirers through a telephone advice line and by email and post. It also runs information sessions for u3a committees and members.

As the needs of u3a members and committees have grown in complexity, this role has evolved beyond the provision of standard information. The postholder will increasingly deal with sensitive and nuanced enquiries including those involving safeguarding, complaints, data protection and internal disputes and must be able to respond with sound judgement, empathy and discretion. This post sits within a small but busy team whose work is central to supporting the resilience of the u3a movement. The postholder must be confident working autonomously on cases whilst remaining alert to team needs and the demands of a fast-paced environment.
