Rights of Women (ROW) is looking for a woman lawyer to join our team as a Legal Officer working on criminal law.
The postholder will be part of Rights of Women’s Criminal Law team and will play a key role in delivering the organisation’s core services to women who come into contact with the criminal justice system, often as a survivor of sexual or domestic violence, as both victims and as women who have been criminalised.
The post holder will provide specialist legal advice through Rights of Women’s telephone advice lines, contribute to the design and delivery of training, and support the development of accessible legal information through publications and other resources. They will also support survivor engagement and contribute to Rights of Women’s policy work, driving systemic change for women’s rights.
The Legal Officer will also play a leading role in maintaining and developing Rights of Women’s online peer-to-peer forum for professionals supporting women survivors. This includes supporting the online community, producing legally accurate and relevant content in response to queries and emerging themes, and contributing to a regular online newsletter.
Salary: £24,286.81 (21 hours / 3 days) per annum (Gross Pay) plus 3% pension contribution. Full-time equivalent (FTE) salary: £ 40,478.01

The role
This is a fixed-term parental leave cover post for 1 year. The post holder will step into the co-Executive Director role with co-responsibility for Foxglove's strategy, impact, advocacy, operations, fundraising and public facing work. We are recruiting sessional assessing social workers to undertake Form F assessments. Our assessments are undertaken face to face. Applicants must live within the specified areas above.

You will be DipSW, CSS or CQSW qualified and registered with the relevant regulatory body (Social Work England).
An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role and will be undertaken by TACT on your behalf.
