Our exciting three year strategy sets out our ambitious goals to drive impact at scale for victim-survivors. We are now looking for an exceptional candidate to lead some of our financial services relationships and consultancy work and support SEA in its mission to raise awareness of economic abuse and transform responses to it within the financial services sector.

Working closely with colleagues across SEA, you will foster and maintain relationships across the financial services sector, seeking opportunities to generate income for the charity and supporting our Head of Financial Services to deliver lasting change and impact.

Together we can transform frontline financial services, in practice, product and process, and save lives.

About you

At SEA we put the lived experience of victim-survivors at the heart of all that we do, including our work with financial services firms. You will be a subject matter expert on customer vulnerability and financial services firms’ regulatory requirements, as well as having a thorough understanding of industry rules and good practice. You will combine this with experience of working with vulnerable customers, including victim-survivors and bring expertise on economic abuse to ensure this is embedded within financial services’ firms’ responses.

About the Role:

As a Support Worker within our Criminal Justice Service, you’ll be a steady, positive presence for people leaving prison who’ve recently experienced homelessness. Many clients are navigating trauma, mental ill‑health, substance use, domestic abuse and ongoing involvement with the justice system.

About the Role:

You will provide high quality support to all victims of APV/CPV, leading on completing initial impact and risk assessments that are comprehensive and holistic. You will also provide cover for the local VS Helpline.

Please note that due to the nature of the contract, an IDVA qualification is considered an essential requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess the risks and needs of APV/CPV victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
• Focus on and prioritise high risk cases and provide a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service. Deliver individually appropriate tailored support and information, advocacy, and practical support.
• Work with victims of APV/CPV to assist them in accessing services to keep them and their family safe. Develop individual safety plans to meet client's needs as identified in the risks and needs assessment.
• Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.
• Work within the legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults, including the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Adult and Children's Boards.
• Providing advocacy and information to victims including exploration of legal and civil options, housing, health and finance and support clients through the criminal justice system.
• Support the empowerment of the client.
• Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures, as well as all legislation connected to your work.

About you:

You will need:

• A good command of the English language both verbally and in writing.
• A good understanding of APV/CPV and/or domestic abuse including the impact of these on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children.
• Understand Safeguarding issues and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues
• Direct service delivery experience to victims of domestic abuse or APV/CPV
• Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework
• Experience of managing a complex caseload, to prioritise work and deal with competing demands
• Strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations
• Good communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals

The Hub Supervisor plays an essential role in the smooth running of the Bristol hubs, supporting all aspects of the food operation. You will work as part of a team to effectively support the hub operation, incoming goods, storage and dispatch of goods to member charities to high levels of compliance and service. This role will include working with a large and diverse team of volunteers throughout the week.

The role will be primarily based at our South Bristol Hub, where alongside our usual food redistribution operation and volunteering programme, we run our youth employability programme FareChance for 18 to 25-year-olds to develop logistics and workplace experience.

Duties and responsibilities:

Hub Support

• Support the smooth running of food intake, storage, and food distribution, liaising with food industry representatives, FSUK, distribution companies and hauliers.

• Support the South Bristol Hub Manager and Fleet Manager in coordinating and maintaining the fleet of vans and machinery.

• Report to the South Bristol Hub Manager with operational improvements to increase efficiency and implement agreed changes. Volunteers and FareChance

• Oversee (under the direction of the South Bristol Hub Manager) FareChance participants, regular volunteers and corporate volunteers on hub shifts, delegating and assigning tasks, providing training and supervising work to ensure all tasks completed effectively and safely.

• Provide positive role modelling to FareChance participants and volunteers while undertaking warehousing tasks together. Goods In and Storage

• Follow FSSW goods-in procedures including liaising with suppliers, completing relevant paperwork, using inhouse software and fork-lifting duties and ensuring areas are ready to receive good in and dispatch orders at all times.

As a centre of expertise for after-care and support, we have established a successful Rebuilding Futures Fund (RFF), providing financial, practical and emotional support to people of all ages affected by meningitis across the UK.

About the Job

This role includes a wide range of administrative tasks – working with financial systems, maintaining accurate database records, coordinating the ordering of goods and services, and liaising with a variety of stakeholders. You will also communicate directly with individuals and families who have been impacted by meningitis. We are looking for someone who is organised, detail oriented, flexible, and able to demonstrate empathy and compassion for those we support.

Administration:

• Act as the primary point of contact for RFF-related work, both internally and externally, liaising with the nurse team regarding decisions and agreed actions.
• Provide administrative assistance to the Information and Support Team across all areas of service delivery.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the RFF, including creating and refining processes and procedures.
• Process all RFF applications, including conducting initial assessments.
• Coordinate the ongoing distribution and monitoring of financial awards.
