Pembroke College Oxford is seeking a highly organised and analytical Development Operations Manager to play a central role in supporting the College’s Development and fundraising activities.
Founded in 1624, Pembroke is an inclusive and dynamic College based on a central site in Oxford that combines historic quadrangles with award-winning new developments. The College has ambitious plans for the future and an active programme of alumni engagement, stewardship and fundraising to support its academic mission and long-term sustainability.
The Development Operations Manager is a pivotal role within the Development team. Working closely with the Development Director, the post-holder will be responsible for the operational foundations that underpin the College’s fundraising activity, including alumni database management, gift processing, prospect research, reporting, and insight generation. The role is essential to ensuring that the Development team works efficiently, accurately, and strategically, supported by high-quality data and robust processes.
The post-holder will manage the College’s alumni database (DARS), acting as a knowledgeable and trusted first point of contact for database queries, and will lead projects to improve data quality and compliance. They will also play a key role in analysing giving patterns and engagement trends, preparing reports for colleagues and committees, and supporting the identification and tracking of potential donors. In addition, the role includes dotted-line management responsibility for the Development Coordinator, with a particular focus on overseeing operational activity.
This post would suit someone who is confident working with complex data, highly numerate, and able to spot patterns and trends. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to work collaboratively within a small, interdependent team, while also exercising discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential information.

Key responsibilities
The main duties to be carried out by the post-holder include:
Data and Database Management
- Manage the alumni database (‘DARS’) and ensure that data held on alumni is GDPR compliant, comprehensive, and up to date.
- Oversee projects to maintain and improve the quality of the College’s alumni data and ensure engagement activities are accurately and effectively recorded.
- Produce data exports for third-parties such as consultancies and mailing houses and ensure any data received is processed and imported accurately.
- Produce accurate data content for publications such as lists of stewardship group members and deceased alumni.
- Become a competent ‘super-user’ of the DARS database and act as first point of contact for the Pembroke Development team for any queries about the database, ensuring that the team is both confident in using it and consistently recording data in line with GDPR.
- Actively engage with the central University team delivering the successor to DARS, ‘Halo’, to ensure it meets the College’s requirements, and lead on the migration to Halo at the appropriate time.
Prospect Research and Tracking
- Undertake prospect research to identify potential major donors among the College’s alumni and supporter base.
- Oversee research into alumni in particular regions in advance of College trips.
- Manage Pembroke’s prospect management processes, working with fundraisers and others to identify and assign new prospects within the team.
- Work with the Development Coordinator to prepare donor and prospect profiles ahead of events, trips, and meetings.
Insights, Trends and Segmentation
- Working closely with the Development Officer (Regular Giving and Legacies), proactively and creatively analyse patterns of giving to enable the team to target and segment Regular Giving appeals more effectively.
- Conduct research into wider sector giving trends, and provide recommendations for better engagement.
- Prepare regular reports on donor and engagement activities for the team and wider College, including the Development Committee and Campaign Board.
Gift Processing
- Ensure all changes to Direct Debits including cancellations and amendments are actioned in the agreed timescales. Communicate with donors in respect to these changes.
- Liaise regularly with the PCFNA (Pembroke’s 501(c)(3)) to ensure donations made through it are accurate.
- Record all donations including cheques/PCFNA/one-off bank payments as pledges on DARS.
- Identify missed pledge payments or recurring gifts.
- Support the Finance Business Partner in all Gift Aid administration including Gift Aid compliance, securing outstanding Gift Aid declarations and updating old Gift Aid declarations and review of non-eligible declarations.
- Liaise closely with the finance team to ensure donations are accurately classified and reported
- Ensure that gift agreements and associated commitments (e.g. Gift Aid, pledges, payment schedules) are recorded accurately and actioned.
- Research into historic donor funds, where necessary.
Gift Acceptance
- Manage the gift acceptance process, ensuring that the College accepts gifts appropriately and in line with its Gift Acceptance Policy and Fundraising Policy.
- Undertake all necessary research and due diligence on prospective donors, and liaise with the central University and third-party providers of due diligence services where required.
- Oversee the gift acknowledgement process.
Management
- Supervise (with a dotted line reporting relationship) the Development Coordinator, with particular responsibility for overseeing their work in the Operations functional area.
- Be available for regular 1:1 meetings and as a point of contact for any queries, and support their line manager in making sure they receive all necessary training, induction and information to succeed in their role.
Other
- In common with all posts, ensure compliance with the College’s policies and procedures, statutory obligations, and best practice.
- Be the principal liaison with the Gift Registry and DARS teams, and keep upto-date with changes/improvements to the system and how to utilise them.

Employability Manager
We're currently looking for an Employability Manager to join our team at St. John's this year.
You'll lead the design and delivery of our college-wide employability programme, ensuring our autistic learners and those with additional needs are prepared for meaningful work opportunities. From developing enterprise projects and supporting our Supported Internship programme, to building partnerships with local employers, you'll play a key role in shaping aspirational outcomes for our learners.
You'll also manage a small team of Employability Coordinators, collaborate with curriculum and transitions staff, and embed employability across the learner journey—from skill-building to successful job placements.
This role would particularly suit someone who has:
- Experience working with SEND learners in an educational or employment setting
- A strong understanding of inclusive employment and supported internship models
- Knowledge of the Gatsby benchmarks and Preparing for Adulthood framework
- A background in careers advice, experience working in Further Education (FE) colleges, or demonstrated experience supporting young people with SEND

This role will work as part of the Operations team to ensure that all Ogden Trust programmes are delivered to a high standard. The post holder will work with the Subject Knowledge for Physics Teaching (SKPT) team in particular to administer the SKPT programme in line with agreed systems and processes.

About Friends of Ibba Girls School (FIGS)
Friends of Ibba Girls School, South Sudan (FIGS), is a registered UK Charity (114620) set up in 2011, at the request of local community leaders to help build and develop a girls’ boarding school in South Sudan. Ibba Girls Boarding School now educates over 320 primary and secondary school girls from across Western Equatoria State and employs around 40 staff.
The school provides high-quality education in a context where most girls leave school before completing primary education and very few reach secondary level. FIGS is a relatively small UK-based charity with a strong national reputation and a substantial impact, demonstrating what high-quality girls’ education can achieve in South Sudan. FIGS works closely with Windle Trust International, which provides technical, financial and organisational support to the school in South Sudan.
FIGS raises approximately £500,000 each year to meet the running and development costs of IGBS and FIGS. Fundraising and effective communications are therefore central to our mission. We are a small team and are looking for someone who will thrive in a varied role, is proactive, organised, and capable of handling multiple demands, with a readiness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
The Role
This role involves supporting both fundraising and communications activities, alongside essential administrative functions. The Fundraising and Communications Officer will play a key role in implementing FIGS’ fundraising and communications plans, supporting donor engagement, campaigns, events, and day-to-day operational administration. You will be working closely with our Head of Fundraising and Communications, ensuring that FIGS has the resources to continue to support the education and boarding of over 320 marginalised girls in South Sudan.
The role is home-based but requires the ability and willingness to travel to fundraising and supporter events across the UK, including occasional evenings and weekends.
FIGS is a trustee-led charity, with an active and engaged Board that plays a hands-on role in governance, strategy, fundraising and ambassadorial work. Trustees bring a wide range of experience, including diplomacy, international development, education, finance and communications, and work closely with staff to ensure the charity is well-run, accountable and effective.
While Trustees retain strategic oversight and are closely involved in key decisions, FIGS also has a small paid staff team responsible for day-to-day operations, fundraising delivery and communications. The culture is collaborative and supportive, with regular interaction between Trustees and staff, and a shared commitment to the success of Ibba Girls Boarding School.

The role
This role is part of the Community, Advice & Support department working collectively with colleagues delivering the Guild’s students advice, community engagement, and students wellbeing and lifestyle campaigns and activities. The role is required:

Working hours and location

The Youth Employability Service
CXK delivers the Youth Employability Service (YES) across East Sussex, commissioned by East Sussex County Council. We also work with schools supporting young people in year 11 who are at risk of becoming NEET. The Team
The YES team support young people from across the county, seeing them at CXK bases, partner venues or in community settings. The team assess and action plan with young people referred to the service, supporting them to understand their options and take steps toward achieving their goals around education, training and/ or employment. The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Adviser.
The Youth Support Adviser (YSA) is a key role in the Youth Employability Service, acting as the first point of contact for 16-18-year-olds who are NEET or at risk of NEET. You will support with first appointments and initial assessments of need, when young people are referred to YES, alongside supporting your caseload. Guiding them through re-engagement with suitable post-16 provisions and provide targeted intervention to those who have withdrawn from or not started their Post 16 provisions.
Working across the East of the county with schools and FE Colleges you will play a key role in ensuring that young people — receive the tailored guidance and support they need to progress confidently into further education, training, or employment. So strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
You will maintain regular contact with the young people you support, plus be a pivotal part of the YES Tracking Team, where you will use various communication methods (phone, text, WhatsApp, email, face-to-face) to engage and support young people and offer our support.

The Team
The Targeted Support Team deliver a wide variety of programmes to empower young people and adults to improve their confidence and skills and progress into training and employment. Leading group sessions and individualised mentoring, the team deliver with passion and expertise to individuals from a range of backgrounds, offering person-centred guidance and support.
The Role
CXK is looking for an Engagement & Employability Assistant to support our programmes across Kent and Medway. As an Engagement & Employability Assistant, you'll use your creativity and mentoring skills to aid tailored support to individuals in various community settings, preparing them for the workforce or further education. Whether through one-on-one sessions or group activities, you'll foster personal, social, and employability skills, helping to equip beneficiaries with the tools they need to move into education, training, an apprenticeship, or sustained employment.
The main responsibilities of the role are to:
· Support the delivery of engaging unaccredited/accredited training sessions and workshops, incorporating both face-to-face and online formats to suit diverse learning styles.
· Employ a person-centred approach, adapting strategies to suit individual or group dynamics.
· Deliver personalised mentoring, advice, and guidance to unemployed young people and adults, nurturing their growth and employability.
· Identify the additional support needs of young people and adults and work with appropriate providers to ensure this is available to them.
· Support work placements and other community opportunities and be confident working in detached and outreach settings.
· Advocate for young people and adults, working to support them and their families to address barriers to progression with sensitivity and confidentiality.

Minimum Criteria
· To be successful in this role, you will have a passion to support young people and adults.
· You will need to be a great team player with the ability to adapt and be flexible to changing work environments.
· You will have a full UK drivers’ licence and use of own vehicle to travel across Kent and Medway and support delivery across the county.
· You will also need to be fully committed to taking on all necessary training for the role.
Core Competencies
· An understanding of the factors that affect young people and adults' lives, and how to help them to overcome barriers.
· Experience in carrying out administrative duties and meeting deadlines.
· Some knowledge of local agencies and organisations that could support CXK services.
· Experience of Microsoft products and ability to use them effectively, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
