Overall purpose of role
As WeProtect Global Alliance Fundraising and Grants Manager,you will:
- Lead the day-to-day management of a multi-donor grant portfolio (restricted and unrestricted) to ensure donor obligations are met in full and on time.
- Optimise and maintain grants management systems (calendars, trackers, templates, CRM, workflows) proportionate to a small organisation operating at global scale.
- Produce and co-ordinate high-quality donor reporting and contribute to renewal and proposal development, working closely with the Head of Development and collaborating with the Deputy Head of Operations and Finance, as well as colleagues in the Strategy and Members teams.
- Ensure and strengthen donor compliance, due diligence, and data assurance across the grant lifecycle in line with donor requirements, relevant regulations (including UK and EU), and best practice standards (including GDPR).
- Support the Head of Development and Deputy Head of Operations and Finance with grant budgets, forecasts and pipeline, supporting decision-making by the Executive Team and Board.
Key responsibilities
Portfolio ownership & planning
- Maintain a live grants calendar covering deliverables, reports, payments, audits and evaluations; ensure all internal and donor deadlines are met.
- Act as primary point of contact for assigned donors on contractual, reporting, and routine relationship matters, escalating strategically as needed.
Reporting & stewardship
- Coordinate the production of timely, accurate and outcome-focused narrative and financial reports, synthesising inputs from programme, policy, finance and leadership colleagues.
- Support contract amendments/variations, no-cost extensions, and budget realignments in collaboration with the Head of Development and Deputy Head of Operations and Finance.
Compliance, risk & due diligence
- Interpret, operationalise, and ensure adherence to donor terms and conditions, including eligibility rules, procurement, safeguarding, DEI, anti-fraud, and data protection requirements.
- Contribute to risk registers linked to grants and grant files (audit-ready) with clear decision trails.
- Support alignment with UK and EU regulatory frameworks and internal policies.
Budgeting, finance & cost recovery
- Support the Head of Development and Deputy Head of Operations and Finance to maintain budgets, forecasts, and cashflows to delivery plans.
- Support cost recovery and overhead allocation approaches and ensure compliant coding and reporting for restricted awards (i.e. timesheets and expense coding).
- Track income recognition and receivables against milestones; prepare payment requests/invoices as required.
Proposals, renewals & pipeline support
- Work with and report to the Head of Development to identify and develop new funding opportunities.
- Support the preparation of compelling proposals, concept notes, and donor presentations tailored to institutional, foundation, and private sector partners.
- Conduct donor research and maintain a live fundraising tracker and CRM system to support proactive pipeline management.
- Contribute to the cultivation and stewardship of funders, preparing impact reports, case studies, and donor communications.
- Coordinate cross-team inputs for donor meetings, funding campaigns, or events that support income generation.
Systems, data & process improvement
- Utilise available grants management tools (e.g., trackers, templates, checklists, shared drives/SharePoint, CRM).
· Promote disciplined data management, ensuring GDPR-compliant document storage and access controls.
- Provide training and guidance to colleagues on grant requirements and internal workflows.
Governance & internal collaboration
- Prepare or contribute to concise briefings, dashboards, and summaries for the Head of Development, Executive Team, and Global Policy Board.
- Contribute to annual planning, KPI setting, and impact measurement related to fundraising and grant delivery.
- Support continuous improvement in monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

Essential criteria
Experience
1. Substantial hands-on experience managing multi-donor grants across the full lifecycle, from start-up to close-out with a diverse donor community (governments/multilaterals, trusts and foundations, and private donors), including restricted awards.
2. Proven track record coordinating high-quality donor reports and ensuring contractual compliance across multiple awards and deadlines.
3. Demonstrable experience collaborating internally and leading applications, funding reports, financial reporting (budgets, forecasts, cost recovery, and expenditure monitoring).
4. Experience of preparing concept notes, proposals, and application forms for funding opportunities.
5. Experience with grant databases/CRM.
6. Stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising with donors and supporting senior leaders with briefings and stewardship.
7. Experience in due diligence, risk management and audit-readiness for grants (e.g., procurement, safeguarding, sanctions/PEP checks, data protection).
8. Proven experience working autonomously in a fast-paced environment to deliver a broad range of donor activities.

The Senior Trusts and Foundations Officer is responsible for researching prospects, developing applications and managing deadlines to maintain and develop a strong portfolio of small and medium trust and foundation supporters, securing sustainable income for all aspects of The Brain Tumour Charity’s work in line with fundraising priorities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and ambitious team.
You will manage and maintain a pipeline of compelling and well-written applications and reports being submitted to small and medium trusts and foundations, ensuring excellent cultivation and stewardship of these relationships. You will work with a wide variety of people including funders, volunteers and colleagues across The Charity to gather the information you need. You will also research and identify new trust prospects, interpret funder priorities and carry out due diligence checks, updating our CRM database. The role works primarily within the Trusts and Foundations team, whilst also working with colleagues from the wider Philanthropy and Partnerships team to support cross-team activities and projects.
📍Location: While contracted to our office in Fleet, Hampshire, our team supports a blend of office and home working provided you have adequate broadband and IT capability, with an average of 2 days in the office each week. We are looking for an experienced trust fundraiser with a proven record of writing successful applications, achieving four and five figure sums and multi-year grants and stewarding these relationships. You will have the ability to develop detailed and creative proposals and supporting budgets, with excellent written communication skills, research skills and a strong eye for detail and accuracy. You will work well with other teams to gather information, be able to work independently, meet deadlines and prioritise your workload.

The postholder will join the academy’s Global Strategy, Policy & Engagement Team at an exciting time for its international policy and engagement work. Reporting to the Head of Global Strategy, Policy & Engagement, this role will play a key part in shaping and delivering the academy’s international engagement strategy, strengthening relationships with key international partners, and contributing to the academy’s growing influence across global policy debates. The role will work particularly closely with a fellow Deputy Head leading on the Global (Dis)Order international policy programme and help lead the academy’s international engagement and partnerships portfolio, with particular responsibility for global relationship-building and engagement with international organisations and networks.
A key aspect of the role will be helping to develop and deliver the academy’s international policy activities in a rapidly evolving geopolitical environment. This will include identifying emerging opportunities and challenges, coordinating evidence-based policy outputs, convening expertise from across the humanities and social sciences, and ensuring the academy's work informs and influences decision-making at national and international levels. The role will involve fostering relationships with researchers, policymakers, governments, multilateral organisations, funders, think tanks and international partners to ensure the academy remains an influential voice within global policy discussions. The role includes the management of two Senior International Policy Advisers and candidates will be working with colleagues in the wider team in a matrix fashion requiring adaptability and flexibility.
The successful candidate will bring strong policy development and delivery experience, excellent stakeholder management skills and an ability to operate confidently across complex international environments. Experience of international engagement, diplomacy, multilateral organisations, international research policy or government relations would be particularly valuable.
