About the role
As Senior Legacy and In Memory Manager, you will:
- be responsible for legacy and in memory income of between £7.5-8million a year;
- lead and manage the development, delivery and implementation of the legacy and in memory giving strategy to deliver sustainable long-term growth;
- oversee the legacy and in memory portfolio, ensuring excellent stewardship and communications to current and prospective donors;
- plan and deliver innovative marketing campaigns across a variety of channels;

The role.
This is an exciting role that sits on the senior leadership team with a significant amount of autonomy for an outstanding fundraiser and leader who is interested in further developing a fundraising function to eventually deliver c.£1.8m fundraising income per annum.
They are at a crucial stage in the evolution of their fundraising. Opened in 2019, our Youth Zone is founded on the OnSide funding model whereby the first four years of revenue is made possible primarily by major donors – Founder Patrons – who each committed a minimum of £25k pa for four years.

They have also secured significant ringfenced funding to expand the fundraising team, and the incoming Director of Fundraising will have significant scope to shape the team around their vision and strategy. Across 12 months you will be working to embed our innovation strategy; driving forward new product development, showcasing a fresh approach to innovation, and supporting colleagues to embrace innovation. You will be responsible for consulting with Fundraising Teams to identify new opportunities to generate income and provide supporters with an amazing experience. You will lead on bringing new ideas to life by managing the end-to-end innovation process. From undertaking research to uncover insight into target audiences, to running workshop with colleagues to turn insight into amazing propositions. From delivering tests to evaluate new propositions, to working closely with delivery teams to launch new innovations into the market to drive income growth.
Ideal Candidate
Working with Teams from across Fundraising, you'll need to be experienced at engaging and influencing colleagues at all levels. You will be naturally curious, motivated to get under the skin of the charity sector and really understand what makes our supporters tick. While experience working in a dedicated innovation role isn't necessary, experience using tools to uncover insight, facilitate workshops, generate ideas, test propositions, and deliver compelling business cases is essential. Running end-to-end innovation sprints, you will be organised, proactive and confident at managing stakeholders. You'll be able to balance conflicting workstreams to deliver amazing new propositions at pace.
As Fundraising Manager you will be stewarding high profile Trust and Foundation donors, researching new donors and writing compelling applications using detailed case studies compiled by the team. You will be able to shape our new Major Donor programme which has shown early success and is an income stream ready for growth.

We're looking for an outstanding Fundraising Officer to join our team. If you have a keen interest in the Criminal Justice System and are passionate about supporting people affected by imprisonment, we’d love to hear from you.
The majority of Pact’s voluntary income comes from Trusts and Foundations, helping to further our work with prisoners, former prisoners and their children and families. Consequently, this is a vital role in the fundraising team. We enjoy warm and committed relationships with a wide range of trusts and foundations and have a robust trust pipeline contributing to core and specific restricted projects.
As the Fundraising Officer (Trusts & Foundations), you will support the Senior Development Manager (Trusts & Foundations) to raise vital grant income to support Pact’s charitable services and activities. This is a varied role which will involve you helping to identify potential new sources of grant funding from charitable trusts & foundations, whilst ensuring the very best stewardship of a portfolio of our existing relationships.
