The role of Digital Officer plays a key role in supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of The Children’s Trust’s digital communications. Working closely with the Digital Manager and wider Marketing and Communications team, the postholder will help ensure our website, email marketing and other digital activity are engaging, accessible, user-focused and aligned with organisational priorities and brand guidelines.

The role will support the day-to-day management of the charity’s websites maintaining high-quality, up-to-date content with a strong user experience, alongside contributing to integrated marketing and communications activity through digital channels, including email and paid digital support. Using analytics and insight, the Digital Officer will help monitor performance, identify opportunities for optimisation and support data-driven decision making to enhance reach, engagement and user journeys.

This role requires a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of digital best practice, who can work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities effectively while contributing to the ongoing development of The Children’s Trust’s digital presence.

Role Requirements

Website management

• Support the day-to-day running of the charity’s websites, managing updates from across the organisation and ensuring continuous improvement and development of content, layout and structure.
• Support the Digital Manager to work with teams across the charity to ensure all website content is fresh, up-to-date and in line with our key messages, style and tone of voice.
• Support Digital Manager with ensuring websites are compliant, secure, accessible, user-friendly and aligned to brand, communications and organisational objectives.
• Produce content that complies with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 – Level AA) and help promote web accessibility throughout the Organisation.
• Build and maintain online forms, e.g. donations, event entries and data capture.

Campaigns and email marketing

• Assist the Digital Manager and Senior Marketing Manager with paid digital activity on small scale campaigns, covering areas such as paid social and Google ads or search campaigns and boosted posts.
• Contribute to marketing and communications plans for campaigns and projects.
• Support with review and delivery of email communications produced across the organisation to ensure they meet brand and best practice guidelines.
• Support with the creation and management of email communications using DotDigital.
• Optimise performance through A/B testing, segmentation and analytics.
• Collaborate with the Digital Manager to support and ensure effective targeting, segmentation and retargeting in our email marketing and paid campaigns.
• Support Digital Manager with the day-to-day running and long-term development of our Google Grants account and campaigns.
• Identify opportunities to improve reach, engagement and supporter retention.

Background Information and Purpose of Post

The Institutional Relations team is responsible for donor engagement and influencing, institutional funding, and partnerships in the UK. It comprises the Head of Institutional Relations, three Programme Funding Officers and an Institutional Funding Volunteer.

You will work as part of a dynamic team to support delivery and implementation of an ambitious institutional relations strategy. With a particular focus on the FCDO and START Network alongside growing Australian and Irish portfolios, the Institutional Relations team builds partnerships and maximises income and influence to achieve HI’s strategic aims. Given the changing external funding environment and evolving context in the UK, we are looking for an individual who is willing to be flexible and adapt to the context in order to meet the organisation’s needs and have the biggest impact for people with disabilities.

The main purpose of this post is to:

· Improve our track record for UK and other funding by increasing internal understanding of donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio, supporting high quality submissions, grant management and donor compliance

· Strengthen relationships with, and generate and manage funding from, UK and other institutional donors and partners, particularly Irish and Australian donors

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Promoting our work and building relationships with institutional donors

Supporting the work of the Head of Institutional Relations, you will have sound knowledge of the donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio and contribute proactively to influencing their funding strategies and priorities. Duties include:

· Maintain a good understanding of HI’s programmes, strategy and approach and communicate this externally.

· Identify and build relationships with a portfolio of large public and private institutional donors and their key suppliers (e.g. INGOs and for-profit development companies), mobilising colleagues from UK and across the global organisation as required.

· Work with country programmes to develop country-level action plans to engage with local representatives of UK donors and partners, in order to strengthen in-country relationships, influence donors’ country-level plans and access in-country funding opportunities. This will also involve supporting the development of multi-year operational plans and advise on the funding possibilities offered by UK institutional donors.

· Anticipate future trends and the expectations of the donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio, influence their policies and strategies, and negotiate and consult with them on institutional funding matters, in liaison with the appropriate colleagues from the UK team and federal network.

· In coordination with the Head of Institutional Relations and the Chief Executive, monitor and where needed, contribute to collective work and advocacy initiatives in collaboration with partners and INGO networks (such as the Start Network and targeted Bond groups) with the aim of raising HI’s profile and influencing UK donors in line with our influencing priorities.

Generate and manage institutional funding from UK donors

You will follow and champion HI’s internal institutional funding procedures to identify and analyse funding opportunities from UK sources, contribute to project submissions, and carry out grant management duties. You will:

· Monitor, identify, analyse and communicate all relevant funding opportunities from donors in your portfolio (including development and humanitarian grant opportunities and commercial contracts). This will involve facilitating internal go/no go decision-making for new opportunities and advising and supporting programme colleagues on positioning and consortium-building when relevant.

· Lead the review and analysis of the requirements in new funding agreements and contracts, advise internal stakeholders on compliance and ensure appropriate contract negotiation and due diligence processes are followed.

· Implement internal procedures for contract/grant management, including information management, and support the submission of reporting and payment requests according to donor requirements.

Improve our track record for UK institutional funding

You will be responsible for increasing internal understanding of donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio, particularly FCDO, Start Network, Australian DFAT and Irish Aid, supporting high quality strategic submissions and donor compliance. You will:

· Create internal communications, train and brief finance, programme and technical staff (including country programmes) on the donors in your portfolio, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to comply with donor rules, understand donor priorities and focus areas, and maximise the potential for funding.

· Support proposal development, advising on donor requirements, expectations and preferences.

· Build strong relationships and internal links with technical and programme teams and contribute to internal working groups on issues related to institutional funding.

Other duties

· Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with HI UK colleagues and the Federal Institutional Funding, and Operations teams.

· Actively contribute to the HI UK operational plan and team work plans, and internal staff meetings.

· Ensure high quality, accurate internal reporting and information management for your portfolio.

· Keep abreast of developments within the sector by liaising with counterparts in other NGOs, and relevant networks.

· Represent HI UK at external forums and meetings when relevant.

· Any other activities commensurate with the level of the post, as may be required by the Chief Executive or Head of Team.

The Charity Financial Controller will be a new role for The Christie Charity (Charity) and a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to work for a fast moving, growing organisation. 

We are looking for a collaborative self-starter to take the operational lead of The Christie Charity’s finance function and oversee the financial management of The Christie Charity (Charity) group’s finances (this includes The Christie Charity, The Christie Trading Company Limited, and Northern Pathology Developments Limited), including but not limited to financial reporting, management accounting, and day-to-day financial operations. You will play a key role in building a robust financial control framework across the Charity group, and you will be expected to be hands on with respect to overseeing the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and supporting the Charity’s aim of maintaining strong governance across both charitable and commercial operations. 

This post would suit an individual who enjoys working in a dynamic, evolving environment, where responsibilities may shift in response to organisational priorities. The postholder must be comfortable navigating ambiguity, demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Additional information

Previously managed under a service level agreement with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, financial management has now been fully transitioned in-house, and day-to-day operations are in the process of being transitioned into the organisation with a view to strengthen independent control and governance. This provides an excellent opportunity for the postholder to be involved in transformational projects geared towards improving the finance department’s technological infrastructure and resources to adapt to the fast-growing needs of the Charity.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Policy and Advocacy Manager, you  will lead the development and drafting of River Action’s overall policy strategy as well as leading on specific policy areas. You will play a leading role in shaping and advancing River Action’s political and policy influence, working closely with the Senior Management Team, Chief Executive and wider organisation to develop and execute an impactful policy and advocacy strategy.

River Action is the Co-Secretariat for the APPG on Water Pollution, offering our Policy and Advocacy Manager a unique opportunity to shape the policy direction for River Action and also to influence policy development across Parliament. 

You will also work closely with our public affairs agency who manage our daily Westminster activities. 

You will:

• Lead River Action’s development and delivery of our policy and advocacy strategy on sewage, industrial water pollution, and water scarcity 

• Collaborate with River Action’s team and external partners to ensure our collective work is underpinned by robust and forward-thinking policy analysis and evidence.

• Develop policy analysis to support campaign, communications and policy strategies, based on a strong evidence base and a sound understanding of the relevant legal and policy frameworks.

• Translate complex policy and evidence into concise documents with clear messages and compelling campaigns to engage political and policy stakeholders.

• Monitor and analyse political and policy developments, interpreting their implications and opportunities for River Action and its supporters.

• Generate analysis to enable participation in public consultation processes, including drafting high-quality and persuasive consultation responses and briefings for Westminster and Whitehall audiences.

• Increase our political influence with exciting policy interventions, ensuring River Action’s voice is heard at the highest levels of decision-making.

• Build and maintain relationships with key policymakers, civil servants, industry experts and partner organisations.

• Support grassroots community groups and third-sector partners in engaging with their local representatives for effective advocacy.

• Knowledge of the challenge of water scarcity.

• Excellent communication and writing skills with close attention to detail and the ability to produce concise and persuasive briefings, reports and consultation responses.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working creatively and at a fast pace with colleagues, stakeholders and partners.

As River Action’s profile, influence and policy impact continue to grow, we are expanding our Public Affairs function to strengthen engagement with decision-makers, regulators, businesses, NGOs, strategic partners and local communities.

The Engagement Manager will play a critical role in helping River Action influence change by developing high-level relationships, building strategic partnerships and providing strategic leadership across River Action’s engagement programmes to advance our policy, legal and campaigning objectives.

This is a senior engagement leadership role responsible for providing strategic oversight of both stakeholder engagement and community engagement activity, ensuring River Action’s grassroots campaigning and external influence work are mutually reinforcing

What you’ll be doing

The Engagement Manager will lead River Action’s overall engagement strategy, providing strategic oversight of both stakeholder engagement and community engagement activity across the organisation.

Building and managing relationships with senior leaders across government, regulators, NGOs, businesses, financiers, academia and civil society, the postholder will identify opportunities to increase River Action’s influence, support policy and advocacy objectives, and help position the organisation as a leading voice on river protection and environmental reform.

The role will provide strategic direction and oversight to River Action’s community engagement work, including the River Rescue Kit, Community Toolkit and catchment-based campaigning activities, working closely with the Senior Engagement Coordinator who will lead day-to-day delivery, community support and programme implementation.

Working closely with colleagues across Public Affairs, Campaigns, Communications, Legal and Development, the Engagement Manager will ensure engagement activities contribute directly to organisational priorities and campaigns and that community insights help shape River Action’s policy, legal and campaigning work.

Main Responsibilities:

Strategic Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop and deliver River Action’s stakeholder engagement strategy.

• Manage relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.

• Develop and implement engagement or public affairs strategies.

• Identify, map and prioritise key stakeholders across government, regulators, business, NGOs, academia and civil society.

• Represent River Action in external forums, roundtables, conferences and stakeholder meetings.

• Develop partnerships with environmental NGOs, think tanks, academic institutions, financiers and businesses.

Organisational Leadership

Essential Experience

• Significant experience in stakeholder engagement, public affairs, external affairs, partnerships or advocacy.

CONTEXT

An estimated 12,000 men are raped every year and 76,000 sexually abused or assaulted. Yet just 4% of men will tell someone. Of those who do, it takes on average 26 years to do so.

Survivors UK provides specialist support to (cis and trans*) men and boys, and to non-binary people, who have been raped, sexually assaulted or abused. Our aim is to help any man, boy, or non-binary person, to have the confidence to tell someone what’s happened to them, and to know that it’s OK to seek help. When they do, we want to ensure they have access to the right support so they can deal with the impact of their experiences.

We provide emotional support, information and signposting to survivors and anyone worried about someone they know, through a national website and webchat service (open till 8pm most evenings). Last year, 2,600 people contacted us via our webchat services and social media.

In London, we are the only organisation providing specialist services for men and boys, including individual counselling and therapeutic groupwork, available till 9pm six days a week. Across London, we provide the capital’s only Independent Sexual Advisor (ISVA) Service that helps men and boys through the criminal justice system.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting role at Survivors UK which combines counselling and practical support, specifically to the (circa) 150 people who refer themselves for individual counselling with us each year. You will work specifically with young people aged 13+ and people from Black, Asian and Multi-Heritage communities who have experienced sexual violence.

The people served include those with clinical mental health diagnoses, drug and alcohol dependencies, at risk of suicide, homelessness or involved in the sex industry. You will need to be a highly skilled counsellor with experience of dealing with very vulnerable clients, willing to work flexibly and on your own initiative. Importantly, you will be a compassionate person, able to blend therapeutic work with practical support and care.

Main responsibilities include:

• Provide counselling and practical support interventions to boys, men, trans people and non-binary people from the BAM community who have been raped, sexually abused or assaulted with high levels of need and who are most vulnerable.
• Deliver counselling interventions by phone, video calling and face-to-face with clients 13+ years old.
• With clients, develop action plans to help them address emotional and practical needs and ensure clients can engage with a flexible service.
• An ability, interest and commitment to working and developing a therapeutic approach that is culturally attuned to Black, Asian and Multi and Dual Heritage clients.
• Maintain accurate and timely client case notes, ensuring adherence to confidentiality, safeguarding and data protection procedures.
• Support the monitoring and reporting to funders on the development and delivery of the service.

PURPOSE

• Provide counselling and practical support interventions to boys, men and non-binary people who have been raped, sexually abused or assaulted with high levels of need and who are most vulnerable.

ABOUT THE BIA

We have 600+ members at the BIA from a broad spectrum of biotech and life science companies including university spinouts, start-ups to scaling biotech to big pharma, including those that support the sector such as service providers, consultancies, law firms and universities.

We are looking for an experienced BD Manager to join the existing team here at BIA. The primary task is to help build relationships, retain current members, and secure new ones to meet or exceed quarterly and yearly targets.

MAIN PURPOSES OF THIS ROLE:

• To support the Associate Director for Membership and Business Development in building relationships, retaining current members and securing new ones to meet or exceed quarterly and yearly new membership targets
• To coordinate lead development and manage leads process through the entire sales cycle

Role: Executive Assistant

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Hybrid working. Cornwall or London office three days per week, home working two days per week.

Job Purpose

The Executive Assistant will provide administrative and internal and external stakeholder management support to the Executive Director.  The role will also provide some support to the Director of Finance and Administration, and the wider team.

Eligible candidates should be extremely organised, have excellent communication and the confidence to independently manage a wide variety of tasks and stakeholders.  They must have relevant experience in supporting executive roles and be enthusiastic and proactive in completing a wide variety of vital tasks independently.

The position will be hybrid, with 3 days per week (Tues-Thurs) based in Oceana’s UK offices in Newquay, Cornwall or Paddington, London.  Regular national, and occasional international, travel will be required to meet team members and stakeholders in geographically diverse locations, including Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Support the ED to align time, attention and decision-making with organisational priorities, ensuring focus on high-impact work.
•  Provide diary support to the Executive Director, including coordination of meetings, focus-time, effective travel planning, and other cross-team calendar management.
• Provide inbox management support to the Executive Director, assisting with task and diary prioritisation.
• Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including travel bookings, expense reporting, and credit card statement reconciliations.
• Act as the first point of contact for the organization, including monitoring and responding to email inbox.
• Provide a liaison point between the ED and senior leaders, staff, and external stakeholders, ensuring timely follow-up, actions, and clear communication.
• Proatively coordinate and manage correspondence, briefings, meeting memos, departmental reports, and presentations on behalf of the Executive Director, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and alignment with the ED’s voice.
• Attend meetings to capture notes and follow up actions, ensuring these are circulated and completed.
• Use a high degree of tact, judgment, and strong interpersonal skills to address timely correspondence, minimizing handling by the Executive Director.
• Manage occasional internal and external events (in-person and virtual), including planning and managing vendors, venues, online platforms, guestlists and invites, run of shows.
• Organise and manage external, departmental and international meetings, including scheduling, drafting agendas, taking notes, reviewing action items, and maintaining relevant documents.
• Follow up on assignments given by the Executive Director to direct reports and provide the Executive Director with periodic updates.
• Support the coordination of campaign and fundraising tasks including mailouts, guestlists, reports, updates, as required.
• Arrange couriers, order office supplies, and support the Director of Finance and Administration with other office administration as required.
• Support effective functioning of the UK leadership team, by scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and assisting with leadership travel bookings.
• Support Director of Finance and Administration with co-ordination of occasional full team events, and manage team travel bookings for international meetings.
• Assist the Director of Finance and Administration with other general financial, office and HR administration tasks.
• Travel occasionally, both nationally and internationally, to meet with team members and wider internal and external stakeholders.
• Other responsibilities as appropriate and necessary to achieve organisational objectives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in executive assistant roles (essential), ideally with some experience and understanding of an NGO or Not For Profit working environment.
• Alongside required professional experience, proven relevant training courses and certifications will be advantageous, e.g.  IEAA, Prince 2 or equivalent.
• Excellent computer skills, including confident proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel.
• Demonstrable experience in project delivery and project management methods.
• Some previous experience of events planning and management is preferred.
• Ability to represent Oceana UK in a professional, diplomatic, and responsive manner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with wide ranging internal and external stakeholders, and ability to communicate on behalf of executive leadership with clarity and credibility.
• Must be friendly and enthusiastic team member, confident and motivated to build strong relationships across the team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.

Project HOPE is a school based project offering therapy sessions as one-to-one or group work, making arts-based psychotherapy accessible to those who need it most. It steps in where other local services can’t, providing support now and preparing children and young people for future life challenges.

Key Responsibilities include:

Therapeutic Delivery

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

• Experience supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, adversity, or significant emotional challenges.

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice.
