Headway UK– the brain injury association, supports thousands of people every year. We’re looking for an experienced, creative and highly organised Fundraising Events Manager to take our programme to the next level.

About the role

As the Fundraising Events Manager, you will lead, shape and deliver an exciting portfolio of fundraising events, including virtual challenges, our Annual Golf Day, and Headway’s prestigious Annual Awards. You will also steward supporters through major third party events, such as the London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon, providing the best supporter experience.

The role will lead and develop the Fundraising Coordinator, providing effective line management to ensure high performance and professional growth.

Working closely with the wider Fundraising Team and the Communications Team, you will ensure every event is safe, engaging and memorable, and that every supporter receives an exceptional journey with Headway.

With an established events calendar and opportunities for innovation, this role offers the chance to make a tangible impact while helping to grow an events income stream currently worth approximately £360,000.

What you will do

• Develop a forward‑thinking events strategy that increases participation and income.
• Oversee and deliver Headway’s events programme, alongside the Fundraising Co-ordinator.
• Lead and line manage the Fundraising Co-ordinator providing guidance and support to achieve team objectives.
• Deliver and champion outstanding supporter stewardship.
• Innovate and test new fundraising opportunities to expand the event portfolio.
• Manage budgets, health and safety, logistics and evaluation.
• Build strong relationships with participants, volunteers, suppliers and corporate partners.
• Work closely with the Communications Team to deliver effective, engaging marketing.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join an award-winning team to develop and deliver a programme of activities to improve outcomes for children living in families where there is conflict and separation. Our Linkwork Child Contacts can be from private clients, solicitors on behalf of clients, local authorities, courts and CAFCASS (Children and Families Advisory and Support Service).

A degree in Health & Social Care or equivalent would be advantageous, and experience of working with children or families is essential. Must be willing and able to work Tuesday to Saturday each week. Experience in managing a team and good organisational and report writing skills are also essential. You will manage your own case-load and have the ability to work on your own initiative.

As a Project Co-ordinator you will co-ordinate and manage the team for the children-centred sessions. The team will be exploring children’s emotions with the aim of strengthening and improving family relationships for the benefit of the children and improving confidence and coping skills.

You will be managing the team and co-ordinating contacts to support families to improve parenting and communication skills, ensuring their approach is child-centred.  You will also be a facilitator at times for supported and supervised contact sessions and be able to prepare reports for the courts and social care teams.

You will manage your own case load and have the ability to work on your own initiative.   A degree in Social Work would be advantageous.  Good organisational and IT skills are essential.  Must be willing and able to work Tuesday to Saturday, with the possibility of some evening hours for the needs of the service as the centre develops.

About the role

The Funding Operations Officer will support the full lifecycle of grants, helping to ensure funding processes run smoothly and efficiently across a diverse portfolio. We are looking for a dedicated Night Support Mentor to join us in delivering a person centred and bespoke trauma informed support to women in Luton. This new service will provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for women facing sexual exploitation and substance dependency – a place they can truly call home. Through stable, person-centred care, you'll play a vital role in empowering women to rebuild their lives and embrace brighter futures. 

In this role, as a Night Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. Our residents have experienced multiple forms of exclusion, such as historical/ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug and/or alcohol dependency and enduring high levels of violence and coercion. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

 Responsibilities Include:

• Holding a caseload, conducting key work sessions which are personable to resident needs
• Carry out regular welfare checks, safeguarding checks, and general living checks
• Encourage residents to take part in activities and events both within the service and the community
• Keep support plans up to date on a regular basis
• Work closely with the rest of the team to provide overall excellent service delivery, this may mean also supporting with their caseloads, and other tasks as necessary
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins.
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals
