In this Senior Technical Lead - Entrepreneurship role, you will use your deep expertise in innovative finance and enterprise development to lead and support the delivery of enterprise development programmes, both existing and upcoming, across various countries.

You will help shape SCUK's commercial strategies by providing strategic and commercial insights, guide existing initiatives, and sharing through best practice.

You will be instrumental to achieve the Innovation Hive's system change goals for entrepreneurship as a means to delivering impact, influencing not just the Save the Children movement, but also the broader NGO sector and beyond.

The Innovation Hive are a team focussed on achieving transformative, systemic, change for children, for our organisation, for our sector and beyond. To do this we run a corporate venturing function at SCUK backing innovation projects that will help us maximise the impact potential of existing and new resources, and increase funding directed towards Save the Children's mission. Key Accountabilities include:
Technical

• Use deep technical expertise and proven experience on innovative finance and delivering enterprise development programmes to lead on the delivery and/or support of existing (eg. 3 Ukraine, Kumwe Hub) and upcoming (eg Turkey, Nigeria, Ethiopia) Enterprise Development programmes to exit point.
• Use proven commercial experience to support the development and delivery of the strategy to explore SCUK's commercial opportunities such as shared value partnerships.
• Provide guidance and advice on existing SCUK commercial initiatives.
• Work on the development of a “best-practice” advisory service for SCUK to support Enterprise Development programmes for local contexts.
• Working collaboratively across SCUK, Save the Children International, LIFT Lab, Save the Children Global Ventures, Kumwe Hub and Country Offices and others to design and support the implementation of those projects.
• Lead all aspects of an end-to-end opportunity, including origination, due diligence, design, committee approval, go-to-market strategy and oversight of delivery.
• Contribute commercial acumen to project design, delivery and evaluation.
• Provide strategic and analytical insight through the generation of accurate and compelling reports and presentations, including for internal and external stakeholders.

Thought Leadership

• Achieve the Innovation Hive's system change goals for entrepreneurship, influencing not just the Save the Children movement, but also the broader NGO sector and beyond.
• Influence and engage senior leaders with gravitas to build high-level buy-in for and understanding of your work.

Learning and Organisational Development

• Responsible for bringing best practice into Save the Children – and embedding your technical knowledge and learning across the organisation, specifically regarding innovative finance and enterprise development, to build organisational capacity.
• Draft and preparation of proposals, pitch decks, and associated materials to engage diverse client groups (e.g. the Innovation Hive's Investment Committee and relevant board steering committees) to ensure the Hive's activities are communicated highly effectively and strategically. 

About You
To be successful, it is important that you have the following skills and experience:

• Knowledge and proven multi-year experience on the strategic implementation and operationalization of Enterprise Development programmes.
• In-depth knowledge of current best practices in enterprise development and innovative finance, combined with established connections with industry experts and relevant networks, enabling the leveraging of these relationships for strategic advantage and collaborative opportunities.
• Demonstrated commercial expertise with a strong ability to guide and enhance commercial initiatives, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of market trends and business strategies to maximize impact and sustainability.
• Experience in senior leadership roles within a development, management consulting environment or equivalent.

The Hear Here Project is a collaboration between the Diocese, Parishes, NHS Audiology Departments and Sight for Surrey to assist those who wear an NHS-issued hearing aid with any technical issues at clinics run by trained hearing champions. Key Responsibilities include:

· Manage a team of volunteers to ensure clinics run consistently, safely, and according to required standards.

· Delivery of training in partnership with NHS trusts and development of complementary missional training.

About the role

Crisis Skylight Oxford supports people experiencing homelessness. The service is based in the Old Fire Station alongside an Arts Centre open to the public. As the Reception Manager (Skylight Coordinator) you will ensure that the reception area runs efficiently and effectively and is a warm, supportive space to anyone needing our support. You will manage the reception team and volunteers, ensuring the provision of good advice, information, and guidance.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have experience of managing a busy reception where people have presented with a wide range of issues and challenges. You will have experience of working with disadvantaged or socially excluded groups or individuals, either as part of a paid role or in a voluntary capacity. This role includes line management responsibilities so you will need experience of managing staff and/or volunteers. You will have good admin skills, with strong oral skills including the ability to communicate key information clearly and precisely. This would be a great opportunity for someone who is already working within the sector or someone with voluntary experience who wants to use their Reception Manager experience to help end homelessness.

The post of Group Work Facilitator will provide support to victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence within group work provision.

At FearFree we run various trauma-informed groups for victims such as: Hope2Recovery, an educational domestic abuse online support group; Rediscovering You, a face-to-face emotional wellbeing recovery group; Inspiring Families, a ‘whole family’ approach to support; and a Living Skills group supporting those having to flee domestic abuse.

We are looking for experienced and motivated staff to join us to help deliver the group work programmes we run around locations in Wiltshire. Groups run in the morning, afternoon and evening. Training for the groups will be provided.

In addition to facilitating groups, staff will be asked to attend training events and meetings, including regular supervision.

This is a fixed term role until November 2025, with the potential to become permanent subject to funding.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To facilitate group work provisions across the Wiltshire Service.
• Completing pre and post group assessments and required paperwork, following the procedures in place.
• Write comprehensive case notes following groups about service user involvement, any concerns raised and any action required.
• Identify and take the appropriate action on any disclosures or safeguarding concerns raised within the group.
• To work cohesively with a second facilitator both virtually and in person in locations around Wiltshire.
• A willingness and ability to travel around Wiltshire and access to a vehicle with business insurance.

Skills and Qualities 

• Experience of working with victims of domestic abuse or sexual violence or the willingness to increase knowledge and skills in this area.
• Experience of working with vulnerable people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience running groups, including listening skills, a good sense of timing, sensitivity to overall group dynamics, maintaining group safety and practical elements such as ensuring course material is delivered.
• A willingness to participate in in-house training, including group observation.

General

• Attend supervision as required.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings.
• Ensure service user records are kept up to date.
• Contribute to effective team working with a flexible and pro-active approach, including cover for other team members’ holidays and sickness.

About the role

We are looking for a Clinical Lead to join our counselling service that provides one-to-one counselling to survivors of VAWG. The Clinical Lead provides line management support to a team of CYP Therapists and supports with clinical decision making across the counselling service.  The Clinical Lead will work from a trauma-informed perspective and use multi-modal interventions considering the needs of a diverse group of survivors of VAWG.

About you

The ideal candidate will offer a trauma-informed perspective to therapeutic intervention and clinical decision making. The ideal candidate will have great organisational skills, good communication skills (both written and verbal), and an ability to manage their own workload. The successful candidate will be able to balance competing priorities and support the wider counselling team to deliver a high-quality service to the survivors accessing support. 

Previous management experience is a plus, but not essential. If you hold a recognised professional counselling qualification to Diploma level or equivalent with 2 years’ post-qualification experience, and are passionate about ending VAWG, we would love to hear from you.

At Parkinson’s UK we are developing and expanding our data team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to join an evolving team in a new role and be part of a critical area of the charity that supports and underpins the key work of Parkinson’s UK. 

We’re looking for someone with proven experience of working effectively in data manipulation, analysis, reporting and insight with strong attention to detail, and an inquisitive approach and critical thinking.

About the role 

You’ll take a leading role, working with a wide range of stakeholders, in delivering high-quality analysis of existing data, and collecting data from new sources, to evidence our impact - enabling the charity’s Community Directorate to make more data- and evidence-based decisions.

Our Community team leads our work supporting people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers, ensuring that everyone has access to the best care and support from health services and from us. They deliver services to individuals and communities across the four nations including information and support, community development, volunteer support, and local group support.

What you’ll do:  

• Work closely with stakeholders from across the Community Directorate to identify opportunities for data and insights to support their work, and gain a deep understanding of the initiatives delivered and supported across the four nations of the UK and review the use of data and insight.
• Work with colleagues in the Data and Tech teams to design and establish new data capture approaches, ensuring data is of high quality and fit for purpose, and collaborate with Analytics & Insight team colleagues to build intuitive, engaging dashboards that enable stakeholders to self-serve for insights
• Conduct high-quality analysis projects that deliver impact through the use of robust techniques and appropriate tools
• Present compelling project outputs and recommendations to internal and external decision makers, using insight to drive positive action for the charity

We are looking for advisors based in Yorkshire and The Humber, North West and North East to support school leaders, local authorities and others to carry out projects that reduce emissions and inspire students and the wider community. We know schools are eager to take climate action, but often lack the information to do so.

Bexley Food Alliance Project Coordinator

The Bexley Food Alliance is a new network which was funded by the GLA to work towards taking pressure off the emergency food aid services and providing increased financial support to Bexley residents. This network has now expanded and aims to build a collaborative network of agencies that can increase fairer access to healthy, nutritious and culturally appropriate food, as well as any additional support residents might need. We are looking for a Project Coordinator to take over the day-to-day running of this network (see below for a brief description). This is a good opportunity for anyone who wants to take on a part-time, one-year project, perhaps as a stepping stone into something more significant, or perhaps you’re returning to work or changing careers. This is an opportunity to be at the start of an exciting, innovative partnership project, shaping a network and forming strong alliances with various agencies. 

You will work closely with the VCS within Bexley to build the capacity and capabilities of local groups, provide partnership/networking opportunities that enable them to carry out their own objectives effectively and offer high quality services.

You will work flexibly, applying initiative to provide consistent and seamless support to organisations.  You will support across a variety of charity development but focus on food partnerships and wraparound support to provide more holistic support.

We work hard, we help each other and go out of our way to help others and find solutions rather than focusing on problems. We are positive and proactive and, although absolutely focused on our areas of expertise, we work as a team so that BVSC is the best it can be. Above all, everything we do is to strengthen our local Voluntary and Community Sector.

Key Duties:

• Build and promote positive working relationships between VCS groups and organisations, statutory partners, commissioners and funders.
• Work with a wide range of delivery partners and other key stakeholders to maximise the use of community resources and ensure opportunities are maximised.
• Undertake community and outreach work – particularly to parts of the borough where the VCS voice is less heard.
• Encourage and support groups to seek funding from a range of sources including contracts and grants and provide the necessary support.
• Use our database to keep well maintained records of support given, funding achieved as a result of our support, case studies and outcomes, brief summary reports for monitoring and development purposes.
• To continuously engage in a mapping process, highlighting existing providers and supporting the start-up of new services.
• To organise and facilitate network meetings bringing organisations together to tackle food poverty and offer increased support with additional needs such as financial, physical and mental health wellbeing.
• To build relationships with various organisations, offering diverse support to increase collaboration, new offers and increased support.
• To work closely with the Local Authority to support policy change.
• To build relationships and network outside of the borough to bring in good practice and successful initiatives.
• To attend any relevant training and/or workshops that support the development of the network.
• To increase knowledge and understanding of food poverty and the cost-of-living crisis in general as well as grants and funding opportunities.
• Attend staff meetings, and training as required.
• Identify, report, and monitor any safeguarding concerns in accordance with the latest local procedures relating to the appropriate service.
• To support and work closely with all the teams within BVSC.
•  To comply with, and share responsibility for ensuring the implementation of, BVSC policies and procedures and key legislation such as GDPR and Safeguarding.
• Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be assigned from time to time including travel throughout the borough to attend events, occasionally on evenings/weekends, meet with volunteers and organisations.

These are the normal duties which are required of the position; however, we do require that all staff be flexible and may be required to perform other duties to ensure the efficient running of services. 

Please note that the base for this role is split between the Engine House, Bexley, and Bexley Civic Offices. In addition, the post will involve occasional working from various venues across the borough.

• Research and keep up to date with current developments, grants and opportunities for voluntary organisations and charities relevant to Bexley.
•  Network with various organisations offering support, learning opportunities and guidance in running the network.
• Continue to work on an agenda for regular, local networking sessions which you would facilitate (with support if needed).
•  Engage with and attend all relevant training offered by GLA as part of the Food Roots 2 Programme as well as any other relevant training.
• Familiarise yourself with services in Bexley and the current needs of local residents and the voluntary sector.
