IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. We campaign to increase awareness and improve laws and policies to tackle all forms of “honour” based abuse and harmful practices including; forced marriage, child marriage, marital captivity, female genital mutilation, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, discrimination by sharia courts and to push for better laws and policies to protect women’s and girl’s rights.
Purpose of Job
The Fundraising Officer will work as part of the Fundraising and Marketing team and will be responsible for:
• Nurturing relationships with existing and prospective donors
• Sustaining and developing our group of individual and community-based supporters.
• Growing income, including regular giving, donations, appeals, legacy giving, community groups and other fundraising activities.
We are looking for a strong communicator with some experience of fundraising who is keen to develop their career in this area.
This post can be undertaken on a hybrid working basis with some days home-working and some days working in IKWRO’s offices.

The post-holder will be required to work in a confidential setting and provide non directive support to improve mental health and social functioning of women who are experiencing different forms of gender based violence. The post-holder will be professionally trained, accredited and work within the BACP/BPS Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (2018) or equivalent.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
·Provide a service in line with BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) guidelines or equivalent.
·To support the management team with the strategic development of IKWRO’s counselling services.
·The provision of effective and high-quality Counselling and Psychotherapy services to IKWRO’s clients through making use of up to date service standards and IKWRO’s Counselling Guidelines.
·To agree a counselling contract with IKWRO’s clients and provide a timely, responsive and appropriate service.
·Carrying out a small one to one clinical caseload and/or depending on the team’s clinical capacity.
·To manage waiting lists according to the level of risk, delivery plans and organisational priorities.
·To manage the delivery against targets and in accordance with contract requirements.
·To lead, line manage and develop the counselling services staff as required.
·To do the clinical supervision of Associate Counsellors and trainees.
·Helping clients work towards a deeper understanding of their concerns;
·Maintain clients’ records ensuring accordance with IKWRO’s policies particularly as they relate to confidentiality and data protection.
·Making appropriate referrals and signposting to other services if needed;
·Attending clinical individual supervision, managerial supervision and training courses;
·Liaising, as necessary, with other agencies and individuals to help make changes based on the issues raised by clients;
·Liaising with IKWRO’s staff.
·Maintaining and updating accurate digital records of all cases and up to date monitoring and evaluation databases as well as writing reports.
·Experienced in delivering a variety of therapeutic interventions from different therapeutic modalities such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic, Existential and Humanistic therapy.

The Role
The WorldGBC is seeking a dedicated Advocacy and Engagement Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in shaping and advancing our global advocacy efforts, influencing policy, and supporting our network of national Green Building Councils (GBCs) in their advocacy work. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing policy positions, conducting research, and engaging with key stakeholders to promote sustainable building practices and policies worldwide. The Advocacy and Engagement Manger will report to and work closely with the Global Advocacy Director.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Support for the Global Advocacy Director: Work closely with the Global Advocacy Director to develop and implement WorldGBC's global advocacy strategy. Assist in coordinating the organization’s advocacy efforts across different regions, ensuring alignment with overall objectives. Provide analytical support, prepare briefing materials, and manage specific projects as directed by the Global Advocacy Director. Act as a liaison between the Global Advocacy Director and other team members, stakeholders, and national GBCs to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
● Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on global and regional policy trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainable building. Analyze potential impacts on the green building movement and develop strategic responses.
● Policy Development and Advocacy: Work with Global Advocacy Director to develop and articulate clear policy positions on key issues related to sustainable building and construction and lead advocacy campaigns to influence international, regional, and national policy frameworks and regulations.
● Collaboration: Work closely with other teams within WorldGBC, including programs and communications, to ensure a coordinated approach to advocacy and policy engagement.
● Support National GBCs: Provide guidance and support to national GBCs in their local advocacy efforts, helping them to navigate policy landscapes and engage effectively with policymakers.
● Communication and Representation: Represent WorldGBC at policy forums, conferences, and meetings, presenting policy positions and advocating for sustainable building practices. Prepare a range of materials, including reports, briefings, and presentations, to support advocacy objectives.
● Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the sustainability, construction, and policy-making communities, including governments, NGOs, industry associations, and private sector partners.
Skills, experience and education:
● Minimum of 5 years' experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or a related role, preferably within an international context.
● Deep understanding of international climate diplomacy and national policy-making processes
● Experience managing relationships with policymakers and stakeholders and ability to lead discussions towards tangible outcomes.
● Experience in the design of built environment decarbonisation roadmaps for the public and/or private sectors and project development.
● Specific experience or interest in international work, ideally with a proven record for engaging with a geographically and culturally diverse network of stakeholders.
● Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
● Ability to work effectively in a diverse, international team environment.
● Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered an asset.

About the role:
The SHP Somerset Cluster is based in the heart of the London’s theatre and shopping districts – the main hub is just off Drury Lane, with the other sites near Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road. The aim of the service is to support people over the age of 18 to navigate various support needs and develop the skills required to maintain independent accommodation long term.
As a multiple disadvantage (MD) referral and move on coordinator, you will work as part of a larger support team to ensure that consideration is given to the individual experiences of multiple disadvantage when it comes to accessing and moving on from our service.
You will work with people from their first interaction with the service: at the point of referral, ensuring that all aspects of someone’s experience is considered by undertaking a trauma informed, culturally sensitive assessment and supporting your colleagues to develop their awareness of these experiences.
From here you will then support their journey through the service by working alongside other support staff to foster a culture of move on, supporting the development of holistic and realistic move on goals.
This work will be underpinned and supported through the development of a move on programme. This programme, developed and overseen by the MD Referral and Move on Coordinators in partnership with the Recovery and Opportunity Coordinators, will be not only look to develop confidence and ability to navigate social systems, but also be accredited through SHP’s AQA Registered Learning Centre.
In addition, you will carry your own caseload for people living in the step-down services to ensure that they are prepared, equipped, and confident about moving on. This may include identifying current barriers within the system that can prevent someone from moving on successfully or within their set timeframe.
About you:
- Experience of coordinating projects across multiple teams or people with varying roles to achieve successful outcomes for vulnerable people
- Knowledge and awareness of the intersection of needs in people facing multiple disadvantage & strong understanding of how the intersection & co-occurrence of these issues can make it difficult for people to engage with support or to move on from services.

Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will:

Work on the development of technical frameworks, guidelines, standards, certification or audit processes relevant for implementing regulation for children’s rights in the digital environment at international, EU and UK levels. This includes representing 5Rights in technical meetings and working groups, such as at the IEEE and CEN-CENELEC.

Remuneration and details

Redemption Roasters is a specialty coffee company that believes that reoffending in the UK can be reduced through coffee.
At their roastery at HMP The Mount, Redemption Roasters trains residents in barista, coffee production and roasting skills as well as roasting incredible coffee for its range of London coffee shops and network of over 100 wholesale clients. The company also runs barista academies at 9 other prisons.
The UK’s reoffending rates are amongst the highest in the western world, and it’s costly on both a national and personal level. If prisoners find employment, they are 50% less likely to return to prison. There is always a job for a good barista or roaster, and that’s why Redemption Roasters is doing this work. About the role
As a social enterprise, we strive for profit in order to achieve our purpose. The Head of Impact will be responsible for the social mission of the business and will ensure that it remains at the heart of what Redemption Roasters does. The person in this role will manage the company’s education channel, including developing strategy; overseeing delivery; and reporting on social impact outcomes. In addition, the person in this role will act as a key partner and ambassador for the brand in its relationships with education client companies; third-party employers; beneficiary mentors/social workers; and the wider Criminal Justice Sector. The Head of Impact is responsible for a team of 7 and reports to the Directors.

Project Background
In 2019, Nigeria signed into law the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act 2018, to prioritise disability rights by stakeholders and duty-bearers. The Act also led to the establishment of the National Commission for Persons with Disability, aimed at preventing discrimination against people with disabilities and to ensure disability inclusiveness across all sectors. However, policy implementation has been a challenge due to weak law enforcement, inadequate funding, negative attitudes towards disability and a lack of data on disability.
According to the Nigeria Bureau of Statistics labour force survey, there are close to five million unemployed people in Lagos and Kano States, representing 36.4% of the active labour force. Development Initiative's analysis of the 2012-13 Household Survey shows that women with disabilities are 43% more likely to be out of employment relative to women without disability. The high cost of living and level of inequality in the country contributes significantly to the adversity faced by people with disabilities, particularly women.
The Girls Educational Skills Programme (GESP) is design to address the barriers of including women with disabilities into the Nigerian Labour Force. The project seeks to build the employment readiness and confidence of young women with disabilities (ages 18-24) to secure jobs or run their own micro/small businesses. The project will also empower adolescent girls with disabilities in senior secondary schools (ages 13-18) to widen their career aspirations through skills development and mentoring.
Sightsavers is working with two organisations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) to deliver on these objectives. These OPDs are Project Enable Africa and Kanawa Educational Foundation for the Disabled. Some private sector partners are also keying into the GESP project to ensure its success, these partners include Unilever Nigeria, Guinness Nigeria, Access Bank, and the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).
Consultancy objective
- Identify institutional, physical, attitudinal and communication barriers hindering people with disabilities, particularly young women with disabilities, from accessing wide range of financial services.
- Conduct analysis of existing legal framework including the National Financial Inclusion Policy and strategy; National Sustainability Banking Principles, among others to identify gaps and means in which they could be strengthened.
- Propose short and long-term implementable solutions that could enable the project to advocate for policy reforms and influence relevant stakeholders in the financial institution sector.
- In addition, identify the relevant technical capacity needed by both the demand and supply actors in implementing the policy reforms proposed to enable the project achieve its financial inclusion objective.

As our Senior Advocacy Advisor on International Financial Institutions you will increase and strengthen our advocacy and capacity to influence global development finance institutions, particularly the World Bank but also be informed on major developments in other IFIs, e.g. recent Paris Summit and Global Financing Pact. We want to ensure our engagement is systematic, impactful and builds up an increased evidence base for influence on the institution.
In this role, you will will employ a range of strategies to advocate for changes in the policies, standards and practices of the World Bank particularly as it relates to water sanitation and hygiene particularly in the context of the twin climate change and global health crises. This position will include a focus on the World Bank Group's Water Global Practice and the Global Water Security and Sanitation Partnership, as well as also support WaterAid Country Programme teams and partners to influence the World Bank's operations at the country level.

- Develop and implement advocacy strategies designed to influence the policies of the World Bank and other relevant IFIs on water sanitation & hygiene in line with WaterAid's globally agreed policy and campaign priorities, and in coordination with allies.

Refugee Legal Support works in solidarity with people who migrate. We operate in the UK, France and Greece, promoting and protecting rights through legal support, casework, litigation, engagement, training and partnerships. We advocate for safe migration and oppose discriminatory immigration systems and policies.
RLS has held a legal aid contract in the UK since 2023.
About the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative (APBI)
The Afghan Pro Bono Initiative is a specialist casework project delivered by RLS with funding and pro bono assistance from 14 leading commercial law firms. It is a project delivered in partnership with SPI.
Firm pro bono lawyers are trained and supervised by the project’s two full-time supervising lawyers so that they can then assist with legal casework.
APBI has two core components. The team delivers legal information and support to and within the Afghan community, working together with the Community Engagement and Research Lead to ensure wide access. While the project also provides high quality legal representation in a range of cases for this community. This includes family reunion, the ARAP scheme, the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme and others.
APBI then aims to respond to the increased need for legal information, advice and representation of Afghan nationals and their family members forced to seek protection and reunion with family in the United Kingdom following the Taliban takeover. The project is now going into its 3rd year, and won the Most Effective Pro Bono Partnership Award at the Law Works Pro Bono Awards in 2022 as well as being nominated and commended for numerous other awards in 2022 and 2023.
The casework of this project feeds into strategic research, policy and advocacy efforts to make existing ‘safe’ routes to protection (in particular refugee family reunion and resettlement schemes) more accessible and effective, advocate for their expansion and defend the fundamental rights of people on the move by influencing policy and decision making.
Litigation arising out of the project is actively pursued (where eligible) under RLS’s legal aid contract to push for better decision-making, secure results for individuals and pursue improvements in the relevant law, policy and practices.
RLS recognise that pro bono legal work is always an adjunct to, and not a substitute for, an adequate system of publicly funded legal services.
Key responsibilities and objectives
The post holder will be a staff member of Refugee Legal Support. They will be a participant within the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative project team, which comprises two lawyers (the other being at SPI), a coordinator and a Community Engagement and Research Lead in addition to the volunteer lawyers from the individual commercial firm partners.
Key responsibilities

Manage a small caseload and provide high quality legal advice and representation to clients;

Supervise the work of volunteer pro bono commercial lawyers on cases;

Deliver training to pro bono commercial lawyers;

Ensure that all legal work is promptly and accurate recorded on RLS’s case management system and keep relevant time recording;
