Engagement Partner London

Location of work: London, must live within the M25. This post holder will be based at home and will deliver a hybrid model of engagement, combining in-person visits to schools and other establishments within an allocated local area with remote engagement.  

The role will require regular local travel, including some early morning breakfast visits, and irregular travel throughout the UK with minimal overnight stays. A full driver’s licence and use of a vehicle is required or access to TFL.

Contract type: Term time only 

We have two roles available:

1 x 35 hours per week, term time only, permanent role

1x 35 hours, term time only, fixed term maternity cover (September 2026- July 2027)

Salary:  £31,500 FTE (will be pro rata for Term time only working pattern)

Magic Breakfast’s mission is to champion and provide nourishing breakfasts that help children and young people learn and thrive. The latest research suggests that 2.7 million children are at risk of hunger, meaning one in five children don’t have enough to eat.

When a child is too hungry to learn, they struggle to concentrate, absorb information, and manage their emotions, causing them to fall behind in their studies. 

Magic Breakfast makes a difference to 350,000 children and young people every school day, providing a nutritious and filling breakfast each school morning. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma. 

We are now at an exciting point in our journey as we launch Nourishing Futures, our long-term strategy, which capitalises on market changes and government commitments to scale our work, while redefining breakfast spaces not just as places to eat, but as places to thrive 

JOB PURPOSE  

Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Engagement Partner will be responsible for delivering both face to face and remote engagement with schools, teachers, children and young people, and their wider communities within an allocated area. The role will support schools with the setup, rollout and continuous improvement of breakfast provision, and engage with school communities to educate on the importance of breakfast on learning, enabling increased uptake in a barrier and stigma free way by optimising provision and encouraging reach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To develop strong relationships with supported schools in the allocated area, enabling, preserving, embedding, enhancing and extending stigma- and barrier-free breakfast provision through a combination of in person and remote engagement. 

• To educate and engage the wider school community, including teachers, parents and children and young people, on the importance of breakfast and the implications of hunger as a barrier to learning through assemblies, staff meetings, online support, virtual and in-person events, and regional events throughout the academic year. 

• To engage with the wider community, both in person and remotely, to advocate for the importance of breakfast, promote the work being delivered in existing schools, and support Magic Breakfast’s campaigning and advocacy strategy and plans.

• To support supporter visits, volunteering activity, funder engagement and any related requirements, both in person and remotely. 

• To enable, support and provide feedback on new ways of working, trials and innovations.

What you do

Main purpose of post

This is an important role in the fundraising team which is responsible for identifying, developing, and converting opportunities to generate income to achieve Weston Park Cancer Charity’s strategy. This role will support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to secure income generation through corporate organisations. It carries an income target aligned to the grade of the post holder, within an overall corporate income target of over £400,000 per annum.

You will be expected to understand Weston Park Cancer Charity’s unique offer, the needs and priorities of our corporate partners and be capable of taking our propositions and clearly shaping them to create mutual value for the communities we support and our partners.

Key Responsibilities

 · Responsible for an income target of which aligns with the grade of the post, contributing to an overall corporate income target of over £4000k pa.

· Delivers income growth through gifts from corporates, workplace fundraising and public facing corporate donations.

· Support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager in developing and implementing a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy which is data driven and demonstrates strong ROI.

· Develop and deliver concepts and ideas, from early discussion through to detailed proposals, working with colleagues across the charity. 

· Contribute to maximising sponsorship of our key programmes such as Big Purple Bus and Grant-Giving for cancer research and other initiatives.

· Write detailed, accurate and compelling bids and proposals that clearly articulate how Weston Park Cancer Charity are the preferred choice to meet the partner and project objectives for Charity of the Year or long-term strategic partnerships.

· Work with our events team to promote opportunities for corporate partners to support the annual events programme e.g. tables at events , team challenge events

· Succinctly communicate the impact of our work, ensuring it inspires and clearly matches the requirements of potential corporate partners and major donors.

· Be a key interface for external corporate enquiries and act as an external ambassador, undertaking significant networking across the region and representing the charity at key meetings and events.

· Be responsible for the management of an agreed number of accounts, providing excellent relationship management.

· Ensure that the resource and capability exist to deliver partner/funder requirements and proactively identify and seek to fill any gaps.

· Ensure we collect detailed and continuous feedback so that we learn from experience and effectively evaluate both successful and unsuccessful funding proposals and initiatives.

· Develop and maintain a prospect pipeline that is realistically capable of meeting agreed income targets and reflects both the strategic priorities of Weston Park Cancer Chairty and the external funding priorities of our corporate partners

· Maximise Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) opportunities, work place fundraising and volunteering, and Gifts in Kind.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to support and empower Stroke Association Support Coordinators to deliver high quality stroke support services, ensuring stroke survivors and their carers receive the best possible support to rebuild their lives after stroke.

· Understand and be responsible for the active monitoring of data quality, reporting and service delivery against their national and local key performance indicators.

You will have experience of:

· Effectively balancing a number of competing priorities.

· Experience supporting remote teams with paid staff and volunteers with experience in growing and developing these teams using a coaching style of management

· Experience in managing performance improvement

· Using relevant knowledge and awareness of health and social care systems, ideally within the stroke pathway.

· Using excellent communication skills.

· Championing diversity internally and externally.

· Identifying and supporting quality improvement, based on an understanding of how work really happens.

The Role

Reporting to the Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Support Coordinator will deliver high-quality, person-centred support to stroke survivors and their carers/family members across Sheffield.

You will have the ability to support stroke survivors to identify their goals. Using strong assessment skills and a person-centred approach enabling them to maximise their recovery and improve communication.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Supporting newly diagnosed stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.

· Supporting a diverse caseload including anyone experiencing communication or cognitive difficulties

· Providing support via a combination of face-to-face visits, telephone calls, emails or letters and digital methods (such as video calls).

· Using a person-centred and person first approach to provide specific, tailored information, advice and support to stroke survivors and their carers.

· Empowering stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to live life well after stroke.

· Working with other health and social care professionals across the stroke pathway to ensure high quality support.

· Working from home but as part of a team of coordinators.

· Delivering stroke support groups in the area.

· Visiting stroke survivors in hospital to introduce the Stroke Recovery Service and provide information and support.

About You

You will have:

· Experience working with people within a health and/or social care profession or other caring capacity.

· Experience of maintaining accurate records using IT skills and database systems.

This role requires extensive travel across the service area to visit people at home, in hospital and community settings as well as running groups across Sheffield and also travel further afield for team and Locality meetings. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior In Memory & Legacy Marketing Executive to join our team on a fixed term contract until February 2027.

You will manage In Memory and Legacy campaigns across a variety of channels, including direct mail, digital and paid social. This is a joint venture between Citizens Advice Woking (CAW) and i-access, the drug and alcohol community service which offers specialist assessment, support, and treatment to people in Surrey who want help with their drug and/or alcohol use. The role is fixed term to the end of March 2027, but it is hoped that it will continue, subject to funding. 

We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our specialist team. It is essential that the applicant has recent experience of advising clients, at Citizens Advice or another comparable organisation. 

You will need to demonstrate that you can cope with a demanding caseload and that you are able to monitor and manage your own caseload to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will be required to work with i-access service users, either remotely or in person, the role is to provide information, advice, and casework in all areas of generalist advice, but particularly in the areas of welfare benefits, debt, and housing. Patience and empathy are essential. 

The i-access adviser will need to travel to the three i-access locations in Guildford, Redhill, and Chertsey as well as to CAW’s office in Woking. It's likely the role will also entail working remotely from home, which will require a confidential work space and reliable Wi-Fi.

We will require the successful candidate to be screened by the DBS. However, a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to your being able to take up the job.
