We are recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with managers and heads of department on all people matters in specific areas of the charity.  

What does this job do?
Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, the successful candidate will:

• build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in specific areas within the charity, acting as a trusted partner for HR related advice.  
• develop a thorough understanding of partnered areas including departmental objectives, role and team structures, and key people issues. 
• provide tailored HR advice and guidance, using metrics and data to spot trends and identify risks and areas of opportunity. 
• manage informal and formal employee relations cases to successful resolution
• work closely with specialist teams in HR to improve people practices.

We currently have two opportunities available in the team:

• a full time, permanent position based at a rehoming centre in the South of England with frequent travel across the region (Basildon, Cardiff/Bridgend, Canterbury, Evesham, Harefield, Ilfracombe, Newbury, Salisbury, Shoreham-by-Sea, Shrewsbury, Snetterton),
• a fixed term contract until February 2027 (both part-time and full-time applications considered) based in the London office, predominantly London based teams, but with some travel.

First stage interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for 5th and 6th March 2026 on Teams, with second stage interviews taking place the following week at our London office.

Could this be you?
Ideally qualified to CIPD level 7 (or with equivalent experience), you will have previously worked in a similar role and will have a proven track record of resolving key people issues through a thorough understanding of departmental activities, and tailoring advice to managers.  You will have significant experience in successfully resolving a wide variety of complex ER issues with the ability to build and maintain strong partner relationships, as well as also the ability to communicate complex and sensitive information to diverse audiences.

The Role

What will I be doing?

You’ll be responsible for a range of activities, including:

• Assisting the wider team to deliver marketing strategies and plans for IOP priority projects.
• Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the organisation.
• Acting as a brand ambassador and ensure that all materials are designed in accordance with the IOP’s brand guidelines and visual identity.
• Supporting the delivery and maintenance of high quality, effective offline and online marketing communications materials that meet set objectives and targets, adhere to brand guidelines and deliver consistent messages.
• Applying creative thinking to support the wider team and assist with developing new promotional opportunities.
• Working closely with the wider Marketing team and internal and external stakeholders.
• Assisting with the evaluation of the effectiveness of campaigns, using insight and monitoring tools. Utilise these learnings to optimise future campaigns.
• Copywriting, editing and proofing a range of online and offline marketing communications materials.

Who will I work with?

The purpose of the role is to support the Bishops of Manchester, Peterborough, and St Edmundsbury & Ipswich in their duties as Members of the House of Lords. The work includes research and information gathering, drafting speeches and questions, managing meetings, appointments and other events on behalf of the Bishops and such other work as they and the Head of Parliamentary Affairs may require from time to time.
The Parliamentary and Policy Researcher's priorities and tasks will be determined by the Bishops, with whom the postholder will be expected to have frequent direct contact along with their key advisers. In conjunction with their offices, the Head of Parliamentary Affairs will manage, guide and oversee the parliamentary work of the postholder.
The postholder's working time will be divided equally between the three Bishops. Flexibility in the working pattern will be required, depending on the respective requirements of each, their commitments in the House of Lords, including duty weeks.
The work of the Bishops in the House of Lords is guided by their policy and local interests, as well as their status as religious leaders with a national profile.
Policy interests:
- The Bishop of Manchester is the Convener of the Lords Spiritual. In this role, he chairs meetings of the Lords Spiritual, liaises with bodies within the House of Lords and the House of Commons, and works closely with the Parliamentary Unit at Church House. His areas of interest include housing and homelessness, crime and policing, international trade, and regional issues impacting Manchester and the North-west.
- Bishop of Peterborough's areas of interest include Children and Young People, Education, and Health and Social Care.
- Bishop of St Edmundsbury & Ipswich was the lead Bishop for Safeguarding in the National Church before translating to the diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, and remains deputy Safeguarding Lead. She also has an interest in media and justice issues.

As such the post may be well suited to someone who has particular experience of or interest in these areas of policy.
From time to time the postholder may also be called upon to add capacity to the Parliamentary Team by providing resource to other Lords Spiritual on policy areas they have become familiar with in their work for the Bishops of Manchester, Peterborough, and St Edmundsbury & Ipswich.
The postholder will need to have access to the Parliamentary Estate, so will be required to apply for a security pass sponsored by one of the employing Bishops, and will be expected to abide by the rules and codes set by Parliament that accompany the issuing of a pass. The postholder will also have access to the facilities offered to Lambeth Palace and other NCI staff, observing the responsibilities and protocols which apply to all.
The balance between parliamentary tasks and those that relate to the Bishops' diocesan roles is likely to vary depending on the parliamentary cycle.

This is located at Lambeth Palace, London, SE1 7JU (within the Church of England's wider Faith and Public Life Team), and at Church House, Westminster, SW1P 3AZ. As Foodbank Services Lead, you’ll play a key part in ensuring Oldham Foodbank runs smoothly and consistently, supporting people in crisis with dignity and care.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role, working alongside the Foodbank Manager to coordinate day-to-day service delivery. You’ll support and organise our volunteers, oversee the smooth running of our warehouse and deliveries, and help ensure our systems, standards and processes are followed well.

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. 

We are now recruiting an IPS Employment Advisor to join our Connect to Work service across Enfield. This is a full-time, permanent role working 35 hours per week, following the principles of the IPS model to support people into paid employment. 

What you’ll be doing 

If you were working with us, your days would be varied and people-centred. You would manage a caseload of clients with mental health support needs, people experiencing homelessness, and people with offending histories, offering one-to-one support to help them secure and sustain employment that matches their preferences. 

You would provide person-centred guidance using the IPS approach (training is provided), helping clients build confidence, prepare for work, and navigate challenges that may arise. A key part of the role involves engaging employers, promoting the value of our service, and identifying suitable job opportunities.

You would work closely with NHS clinical teams, contributing to an integrated approach to recovery through employment. This includes attending team meetings, coordinating support, and maintaining clear, client-led communication. The role also involves working to agreed targets while maintaining a high-quality, supportive service.

You do not need previous employment support experience. What matters most is that you bring: 

• A genuine desire to support people with mental health support needs and/or learning disabilities to achieve their employment goals. 

• Motivation to help people from all backgrounds move into meaningful work.

Status:         12 month fixed-term contract 

Salary:       Band 7, £47,320 - £54,150 per annum, dependent on experience, plus 5% Fringe Allowance 

Hours:       Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 16:30, hybrid, 2 days in office, 3 days at home.

Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans. For over a century we’ve been helping former service personnel deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. Today we provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues related to their military service. We provide a range of community, outpatient and residential mental health services to veterans with complex mental health problems. We provide services in-person, and via phone and online.

About the role:

The Social Media and Digital PR Manager will develop, oversee and help execute the social medial and digital content strategies, while also being hands-on responsible for the charity’s online public relations.

This role is subject to a DBS check.
