Hybrid Working (2 days in central London office)

We are seeking an exceptional Finance Executive to join a growing, purpose-driven organisation that invests significant funding into programmes and initiatives delivering meaningful social impact.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and adaptable finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing a varied workload, and takes pride in delivering work of the highest standard. Working within a funding-focused organisation, you will play an important role in ensuring funds are managed effectively, payments are processed accurately, and financial information supports strong decision-making and accountability.

The Role

You will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function, taking ownership of financial operations while supporting treasury activities, reporting, funding payments and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing supplier payments, staff expenses, corporate card transactions and funding payments.
  • Ensuring robust financial controls, accurate coding and audit-ready records.
  • Processing banking and treasury transactions, reconciliations and cashflow monitoring.
  • Supporting month-end close, reporting and financial analysis.
  • Maintaining and improving finance systems, processes and documentation.
  • Acting as a key finance contact for colleagues and external stakeholders.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical finance skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.

You will have:

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliations, financial controls and financial operations.
  • Experience managing a high volume of transactions whilst maintaining exceptional accuracy.
  • Excellent systems skills, ideally including Xero and advanced Excel.
  • The ability to adapt quickly, prioritise effectively and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • A track record of identifying improvements and finding practical solutions to challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work across all levels of the organisation.

Experience within a charity, foundation, grant-making, philanthropic or wider not-for-profit environment would be particularly valuable, especially where you have worked with grants, restricted funding, donor-funded programmes or fund distribution processes.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to join an ambitious organisation where you can make an immediate impact. We are looking for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, taking ownership and helping a growing organisation operate more effectively.

If you are a high-performing finance professional who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys working with purpose-led funding organisations, and wants to combine operational excellence with continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you contact Rosemary Pini for more information
