This is a full-time, permanent role paying a salary of £34,000 - £37,500 per annum and the postholder will be working in a hybrid model from their offices in London.

The Trusts, and Foundations Manager will be responsible for preparing applications to trusts, foundations, statutory funders and cultural institutes in line with agreed priorities and strategy. Reporting to the Head of Trusts, Foundations & Government, you will deliver in collaboration the trust fundraising strategy and identify and research opportunities to build active pipelines of new trust prospects for the organisation's projects.    

The selected candidate will have a demonstrable track record of securing grants from trusts, foundations and other grant-making bodies and will have extensive experience of developing grant funding bids, evaluation reports and project budgets. You will ideally have familiarity with Arts Council England priorities and funding processes and will have proven experience of donor management and stewardship too.

We’re recruiting a Service Manager for our Financial Resilience Navigators project and Home Visiting Team. This role will sit within our Management Team and we expect the successful candidate will divide their time roughly equally between the two projects.

As well as contributing to the leadership of the organisation, the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Leading and supporting teams of staff and volunteers, ensuring they are equipped, trained, and motivated to deliver effective, high-quality client-centred services.
• Managing and supervising support and advice projects across multiple channels (in-person, outreach, home visiting, online, telephone), ensuring services are accessible to vulnerable client groups.
• Managing relationships with commissioners and funders, ensuring we meet our contractual obligations and can demonstrate this to our funders.

The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will monitor and map the criminal justice policy landscape, tracking developments across the system. They will engage with MPs, civil servants and key stakeholders, bringing evidence from our membership and the voices of those impacted directly by the criminal justice system to government to influence change.

The postholder will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have demonstrated evidence of impact in policy and public affairs. They should be confident in building relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, be a collaborative and inspiring team player, show commitment to our values and share a passion for the CJA’s vision and mission.

Main responsibilities

Public Affairs (50% time)

• Develop and implement the CJA’s public affairs and influencing strategy to advance the CJA's objectives.
• Work with CJA members on influencing specific legislation, including campaigning around bills, writing amendments, and working with MPs and Peers to promote them within the legislative process.
• Stakeholder engagement (Parliament): Build and maintain relationships with key policy makers and parliamentarians through face-to-face meetings, providing briefings to MPs and Lords for Parliamentary debates, preparing written/oral questions, and attending Select Committees, APPGs, Parliamentary receptions and other relevant roundtables and events.
• Stakeholder engagement (other): Build and maintain relationships with other key stakeholders, including Police & Crime Commissioners, the Victims Commissioner, HM Inspectorates, civil servants, and other relevant bodies.

Policy and Research (40% time)

• Monitor policy and political debates and developments on criminal justice issues, horizon-scanning emerging policy issues, and where appropriate, disseminate and brief colleagues and CJA members.
• Maintain a repository of evidence briefings from CJA members.
• Identify proactive and reactive opportunities to promote and embed CJA and members recommendations and research.
• Produce high quality and influential policy briefs, reports, position papers, and responses to consultations, to advocate for changes in policy and practice put forward by CJA members.
• Lead on the monitoring of policy engagement and impact by using our evaluation tools and work with external evaluators as required to capture impact and utilise learning.
• Work with CJA members, people directly impacted by the justice system and other key stakeholders to harness and amplify their expertise and insights.
• Lead the co-ordination and establishment of member expert groups to inform our policy work.
• Develop opportunities for joint working with researchers / research organisations and manage that partnership work, including co-ordinating the CJA research symposium.

Other (10% time)

• Work with the Communications and Engagement Manager to respond to media and other communication opportunities to promote the CJA’s work and to contribute to national debate on criminal justice issues.
• Work with the CJA team to recommend and secure relevant speakers and presenters for CJA meetings and events. 
• Support the Communications and Engagement Manager to develop content for the website and other internal and external communications, such as blogs and articles.
• Contribute to the general administration and delivery of CJA programmes, events and overall objectives.

Job Purpose

As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for delivering professional customer service, work collaboratively across the organisation, and contribute to the success of the corporate plan. Financial accounting

• Oversee payments, purchase ordering, accounts payable, and ensure accurate recording of transactions in the general ledger.

Care & Repair in Powys is seeking two Falls Prevention Officers to join our small and friendly team.

Your role will be delivering high quality housing advice and advocacy in line with the hub’s local community priorities and work alongside people who are experiencing housing problems to identify issues specific to Devon and Cornwall.  You will plan and deliver casework to individuals and communities to help find resolutions and engage with community groups, local organisations and individuals to understand local housing issues and raise awareness of people’s rights.

Working within local community settings and alongside community groups to deliver advice and rights awareness workshops, you will ensure that people with lived experience of homelessness have opportunities to share their stories and views, participating in the design and delivery of Shelter services. Offering day to day support to volunteers, providing learning, shadowing and mentoring and being a consistent role model for our values are also key aspects of the role.

About you

You will be able to work with individuals and communities including people with lived experience of homelessness. You will have experience and knowledge of housing and homelessness advice and advocacy as well as the ability to carry out casework related interviews, maintain detailed case records, advise and support your clients to make informed decisions. You have a strong track record of delivering group workshops and presentations and collaborate with others to get the job done.

About the opportunity

We're in a fantastic position to have recently have partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) for an evaluation of our programmes. Excitingly this means we will be expanding our reach and starting to work in geographies that we've not reached before.

We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Rotherham and Sheffield.
The Rotherham/Sheffield Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
The Rotherham/Sheffield Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; regularly attending weekly tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
• Responsible for overseeing the quality of tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery. Provide regular check-ins with tutors to ensure ample support and guidance is given to provide targeted tuition to pupils.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. Maintain clear and timely communication with relevant school staff, offering regular check-ins with key school stakeholders, and contribute to impact reporting to schools. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
• Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
• Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.

The nature of this role will also require you to demonstrate adaptability, resilience and the ability to cope with some uncertainty. 

This position would suit you if you’re looking to develop your experience in the education or charity sectors. Existing experience of working with young people and/or project management in a charity or education setting would be an asset. About the team
The Social Media Team consists of 5 roles, working across Shelter to manage our social media output and serve our comms, fundraising, retail, and services’ functions. Within the team we cover content, community management, reporting, training, and influencer outreach.
