We are the Military Wives Choirs, the only charity that focuses on building wellbeing and resilience, through singing, for all women impacted by their military connection. Our mission, Sing, Share, Support, is at the heart of everything we do.
This role is part of the Choirs Support Team (CST), a small, dedicated team, that supports the network of individual Military Wives Choirs and the performances of Military Wives Choirs as a recording and performing artist. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading on the development and delivery of the music plan for Military Wives Choirs
Assuring the quality of our choirs’ music-making, event activity, rehearsal and performance practice and relationships with Musical Directors and other key stakeholders
Providing advice and support to choirs with the recruitment and management of their Musical Directors
Ensuring that our Musical Directors, Assistant Musical Directors and accompanists are of consistent quality and understand and support the direction and ethos that we want for our choirs
Overseeing the delivery of musical performances.
Managing recording opportunities and new commissions end to end, in line with the approved proposal and budget
Managing the Military Wives Choirs core repertoire ensuring that the repertoire is refreshed and maintained, effectively communicated to choirs, taking account of their preferences.
Measuring the impact of our music-making on the wellbeing of the network and monitoring the number of choirs and size of the network
Managing wellbeing issues and developing mental health first aid and mediation skills within choirs
Managing the MWC Artistic Director and other key musical stakeholders
Deputising for the Chief Executive when required
Managing the Wellbeing and Development and Musical Direction Committees, including managing the agendas and preparing papers for these committees

The EA to CDO and DoD will support the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and the Director of Development (DoD) in delivering their roles efficiently and effectively, focusing on comprehensive inbox and diary management to ensure strategic prioritisation of commitments. They will source and / or draft briefings as needed for donor meetings and events and ensure prompt and sensitive follow-up is carried out.
As an engaged and diplomatic communicator, they would act as first point of contact for all matters relating to the CDO and DoD, working in partnership with colleagues in the Development team, and more widely across the organisation. They will understand the nuances of the external relationships the CDO and DoD hold to enable co-ordination of supporter correspondence on the CDO and DoD’s behalf, ensuring that conversations progress sensitively and at pace.
The role also manages the co-ordination and communication with the Development Board and other fundraising committees.

As Public Programme Officer you will work with a small, enthusiastic team on a varied programme of events across Sheffield Museums sites. Role Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Events Manager, the Events Coordinator will be responsible for managing outdoor, parks and corporate events. From supporting enquiries to increase sales conversions to helping customers plan and manage their events safely and successfully.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience with managing event applications and processing health and safety paperwork in parks, outdoor venues, or local authorities. Someone equally comfortable with advising professional event companies as well as supporting first-time community organisers and someone who can balance our commitment to not overwhelming our public spaces but also with a keen understanding of achieving revenue targets.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Venue Management:
- Providing clients with venue availability, quotes, and conducting site visits
- Briefing clients on T&Cs for hire and licenses and supporting clients making event applications
- Ensuring all event application paperwork per event is complete and compliant with the requirements of the Event Policy
- Overseeing health & safety procedures; liaising with security personnel and conduct thorough site inspections before, during, and after events
- Working with internal & external contractors to secure the necessary services for each event and ensure clients are billed accurately
- Collaborating on developing new event opportunities to maximize revenue for the park(s)
- Communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure all park events and activities are well coordinated
- Maintaining clear communication with clients to address their needs and work with the site team to fulfill their requests
- Supporting and attending events / productions as required
Admin and Finance:
- Managing event bookings and venue schedules to maximise revenue
- Raising invoices and purchase orders for clients, tracking corporate bookings income and expenses, ensuring smooth cash flow, and keeping budget up to date
- Ensuring all supplier’s paperwork is checked and uploaded to the system
- Raising contracts and agreements, ensuring all aspects of the event are clearly outlined and protected
- Updating the booking system with all confirmed event details, ensuring all details are documented and ensuring efficient scheduling and avoiding conflicts
- Preparing and submitting TEN applications to relevant authorities for events requiring permits in public spaces or with specific restrictions
- Supporting the Head of Events and Senior Events Manager with various projects, taking ownership and initiative
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience planning and managing events, ensuring a positive client experience
- Management of multiple clients simultaneously, providing confident and patient guidance to clients
- Proficient in a range of office software; Outlook, Excel, Xero
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients, staff and senior management
- You thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple tasks and projects efficiently against deadlines

Purpose of the Assistant Designer role:
The Assistant Designer will support the Exhibitions and Interpretation department to develop and deliver graphic design across the Museum, working closely with the Designer. They will design both permanent and temporary exhibition graphics, as well as designing wayfinding signage for the Museum sites and supporting wider Museum departments with design requests, such as events marketing materials.

- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in graphic design

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate conservation professional to join the Trust and play a key role in the care and conservation of our outstanding churches, a fascinating and unique collection of highly listed historic buildings.
Churches Conservation Trust is the national charity protecting historic churches at risk, ensuring they are enjoyed as social, tourism, educational and cultural resources, kept open, in use, and living once again in the heart of their communities.
As a Conservation Projects Manager and a key member of the national Conservation team, you will work with experienced consultants and skilled craftspeople, with national and regional colleagues, volunteers, local partners and stakeholders to develop and manage a range of holistic, conservation and new use projects, from inception to completion, and providing professional advice and support to community led projects. You will lead on all capital, conservation and maintenance, programmes in the region.
You will have expertise and specialist knowledge in the field of historic building repair and conservation, and a proven track record of project management (client side) in the heritage sector. You might be a Building Surveyor, a Conservation Architect, an Estate Manager, or a Project Manager, in this continually varied and unique role you will be working on some of the most significant historic buildings in the country. As you’ll be working on projects across the region, but not exclusively, it is essential you have a full driving license.

As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

Sound & Art at St Swithun’s
Sound & Art at St Swithun’s (SASS) is a £2.8M Heritage Lottery Funded project, to create an arts space in the heart of Worcester city centre. The Grade I listed church has been transformed through conservation and adaptation, giving it a new lease of life. SASS launched in late October 2022.
· Sound & Art at Swithun’s aims to be a major player in the city’s cultural life;
· Delivering a programme of performances, concerts, recitals and arts events;
· Deliver a cultural and heritage learning programme;
· Provide an environment for people to recharge and relax; to experience and interact with the space in a meditative way;
Overall job purpose
You will provide effective on-site caretaking and cleaning services as part of the Sound & Art at St Swithun’s Team. You will also assist with the setting up and taking down of equipment for events and ensure the church is opened/locked as required for volunteers, event promoters, workshop providers and venue hires.
