Managing a team of five across fundraising, communications, special projects and data management, the successful applicant will lead the development of partnerships and campaigns to raise funds for Dementia Adventure’s unique work to support people with dementia and their carers to have a more active and fulfilled life by getting outdoors and experiencing the benefits of nature.
You will provide strategic leadership and direction for income generation through various fundraising disciplines and joint fundraising partnerships, ensuring the charity's diversification of funding and financial sustainability. Funding sources include major grantmakers, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, challenge events, and an individual giving campaign.
Hand in hand with leading fundraising, you will oversee the Communications team, supporting, developing and monitoring the communications strategy, associated budget, resources, systems, processes and operations. This will involve overseeing and directing a communications plan promoting the work of Dementia Adventure to a broad range of audiences through various channels and campaigns, along with increasing online and social media presence.
About you
We are looking for someone to join the charity’s Senior Leadership Team who will bring experience from their past successes and provide inspirational strategic leadership and direction to the fundraising and communications functions in support of the Dementia Adventure business plan, charitable mission and objectives. The successful applicant will have a strong, successful track record of fundraising and/or other forms of income generation in the charity sector, including management, with proven experience in meeting financial and non-financial targets. You should be able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including trusts and grant givers, corporates, major donors and other individuals. In addition, you should have strong knowledge of marketing and communication principles and practice, digital marketing, and social media, and be confident in engaging audiences sensitively with real-life stories to demonstrate impact and create a compelling case for support.

Role Overview:
The Senior Designer will help us deliver creative content which encourages our audiences to take action with us. Working across printed assets (such as mailers and brochures) to video (for feedback emails or social media ads) to digital ads (paid social, display etc.), you will have an array of creative skills and won’t be afraid to think outside the box to deliver content which inspires.
Working at a senior level, you will be comfortable managing your briefs and projects, working to deadlines and communicating clearly with stakeholders across the organisation. You will act as a guardian of our brand, delivering creative which meets brand guidelines.
Main Responsibilities:
· Produce effective creative assets which inspire our audiences to take action with MH. These assets could be across the following mediums, but not limited to:

· Confident working across the full adobe suite, as well as Figma with a willingness to learn new tools as needed.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke.
Position: S11272 Stroke Support Coordinator
Location: Homebased Bradford, Wakefield and Leeds. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

About the role and Wen’s Climate Sisters Programme
The Climate Sisters project aims to make systemic change by amplifying underrepresented marginalised and racialised women's voices in climate justice debates and in the transition to a low-carbon economy. This 5 year project aims to engage women from Manchester & the North West through a participatory climate leadership programme.
The project involves two phases. Phase One comprises a Feminist Climate Leadership programme series where groups of women collectively explore their priorities for climate justice at individual, local, regional, national and international levels. Phase Two involves participants developing creative projects to showcase the ideas and solutions from the combined cohort from the Phase One programme, working collaboratively with regular support sessions.
The aim of this programme is to amplify and centre the voices of the underrepresented and marginalised women specifically in the climate arena. The approach to this will be underpinned by values that challenge patriarchy, colonialism and white supremacy, ableism and uphold care, collectivity, collaboration and non-competitive sisterhood.
The Climate Sisters Coordinator will facilitate the delivery of a feminist climate leadership programme and a participatory, impactful and co-produced project, working closely with participants, community partners, wider networks and the Climate Sisters Programme Manager.
You will be part of a small team within Wen and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of the Climate Sisters programme and sharing learning and impact internally and with outside audiences. You will identify opportunities and gaps and take action to widen community engagement in the project. We are looking for someone highly organised and motivated, with a talent to inspire and motivate people.

Summary of the Role
Wales receives less than half the UK’s per-person civil society funding, a situation worsened by COVID-19, EU funding loss, public cuts, and the cost-of-living crisis. This is having a crippling impact on community groups and charities' ability to do their critical work. Climate Cymru is action-focused, has a large reach across Welsh society and is on a mission to do something about this issue. This role leads this potentially transformative work.
The post-holder will engage directly with trusts, foundations, philanthropic funders and collaborative networks to unlock more funding for groups in Wales. They will also lead the development of innovative, practical solutions to improve how funding is distributed, particularly to grassroots, under-resourced and historically excluded communities. This includes rolling out pioneering models of shared capacity, developing a Wales-specific environmental funding database, and providing strategic guidance to groups seeking funding.
The Head of Funding Innovation will work to influence funders, reshape funding infrastructure, and build the capacity of the Climate Cymru movement to access the resources it needs. Working closely with the Head of Renewable Energy and the wider Climate Cymru team, this role will be central to ensuring that funding systems in Wales are fairer, more inclusive, and better able to meet the scale of the climate and nature crisis.
Additionally, the role involves communicating the compelling cases for investment in Wales, and working with Climate Cymru’s communication team to gather and share powerful stories to help shift narratives around Wales as a place for ambitious, high-impact funding.
Specific responsibilities for the role
Funding strategy & funder engagement
- Develop and implement a strategy to increase the volume and accessibility of trust, foundation and philanthropic funding for climate, nature and social justice work in Wales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with UK-wide and Wales-based funders, including trusts, foundations, philanthropic networks and collaborative funding bodies.
- Actively engage with the Environmental Funders Network and other relevant groups to amplify Welsh perspectives and influence funder priorities.

- Refine and facilitate the roll-out of innovative distributive models piloted by Climate Cymru, which offer access to skills and supportive capacity for grassroots groups, helping to reduce duplicated effort and increase sector-wide efficiency.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke.
Position: S11233 Stroke Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, Durham. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Salary: £19,596 per annum (FTE £27,400 per annum)

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.
Reporting to the Stroke Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Support Coordinator will:
- Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
- Deliver 6 month post stroke reviews.

The organisation
ImpactEd Group supports education and purpose-driven organisations to maximise and realise their potential. A growing and skilled team of over 30 people, we help our partners to be consistently impactful and sustainable through a combination of specialist support and use of digital tools.
This project would support our Evaluation Practice. The evaluation team works with over 1,500 schools and organisations, analysing the impact of programmes and interventions to help them do more of what works and less of what doesn’t for young people. As well as tailored consultancy and support for our partners, we support schools and organisations to collect and evaluate educational data through an in-house digital tool (our “School Impact Platform”) – which this project would support.
The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced data engineer to help transform our data infrastructure to better manage our growing dataset of over 14 billion records and create more efficient analytics capabilities. This is a hands-on technical role that will involve both strategic advisory work and practical implementation.
Initially a fixed-term project of around 3-4 months, working to the project outcomes, there may be opportunities for longer-term advisory and technical support following completion if this is of interest.
We are happy for you to work flexibly although would expect the majority of your time to be committed to this project. We expect the work to be conducted predominantly remotely, with a few key meetings in person at our London offices, though you are welcome to use our office space throughout. We anticipate the project being outside of IR35.
What will you do?
Our School Impact Platform brings together existing data from schools (for example, on student demographics and attendance at school) and other forms of data (for example, surveys on student wellbeing and motivation) to help school leaders and educational organisations better understand the impact of their educational choices and programmes.
Part of this involves processing significant data from schools, and we are looking at options for how this could be handled more effectively and be more easily extracted for analysis.
We currently have 14 billion records in a PostgreSQL table, which we believe could be stored more cost effectively and allow for faster data retrieval by using new or alternative data stores. We would also like to develop data pipelines to take data from Postgres to serve analytics use cases, either in new Postgres tables or potentially in a data warehouse or similar.
We would like someone to help identify the best solutions for both areas, assuming our assumptions are correct, and lead the majority of the implementation. You would work closely with our in-house software development team and an existing consultant with experience in data analytics.

The Climate Sisters project aims to make systemic change by amplifying underrepresented marginalised and racialised women's voices in climate justice debates and in the transition to a low-carbon economy. This 5 year project aims to engage women from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Central Belt Scotland through a participatory climate leadership programme.
The project involves two phases.Phase One comprises a Feminist Climate Leadership programme series where groups of women collectively explore their priorities for climate justice at individual, local, regional, national and international levels. Phase Two involves participants developing creative projects to showcase the ideas and solutions from the combined cohort from the Phase One programme, working collaboratively with regular support sessions.
The aim of this programme is to amplify and centre the voices of the underrepresented and marginalised women specifically in the climate arena. The approach to this will be underpinned by values that challenge patriarchy, colonialism and white supremacy, ableism and uphold care, collectivity, collaboration and non-competitive sisterhood.
The Climate Sisters Coordinator will facilitate the delivery of a feminist climate leadership programme and a participatory, impactful and co-produced project, working closely with participants, community partners, wider networks and the Climate Sisters Programme Manager.
You will be part of a small team within Wen and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of the Climate Sisters programme and sharing learning and impact internally and with outside audiences. You will identify opportunities and gaps and take action to widen community engagement in the project.
