About Bendrigg Trust

The spirit of adventure is incredible. A bona fide superpower that can fill any one of us with conviction and confidence, with new abilities and renewed agency. And it's universal too - not the exclusive preserve of the advantaged and non-disabled. It's for everyone - and Bendrigg Trust makes sure it is.

This unique charity has the setting and the scenery, the equipment and the expertise, the people and the passion. They're looking for a Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser to help secure vital income to harness the power of adventure and create big impact.

About the role

You'll join a small, but mighty fundraising team, working towards a shared team target. Trusts and Foundations currently make up a significant portion of the charity's overall fundraised income.

You'll have a varied portfolio and workload, securing core and restricted grant income for different areas of Bendrigg's work. One day might involve submitting a grant application for specialist climbing equipment, whilst another might involve meeting with a funder to discuss support for the volunteering programme.

You'll mainly work on opportunities at four-and five-figures, building on strong existing relationships to encourage long-term partnerships, as well as developing new relationships with potential funders to explore potential opportunities for support.

About you

We're looking for someone with proven experience in fundraising, specifically working with Trusts and Foundations.

Collaboration is key at Bendrigg - you'll thrive in a team environment, working towards a shared target and making fundraising decisions that best support each relationship and project.

This role is perfect for a self-starter who is passionate, motivated and is confident managing a diverse portfolio of relationships.

How to apply

We'd love to hear from you - please get in touch with a copy of your CV or profile as the first step. If your experience meets the brief, then Amelia at Charity People will reach out to tell you more and explain how to apply.

Deadline: 9am on Thursday 31st July
Interviews: To be confirmed shortly

Charity People is a forward thinking, inclusive organisation that actively and deliberately promotes equity, diversity and inclusion. We know organisations thrive when inclusion is at the forefront. We evidence our commitment by matching charity needs with the skills and experience of candidates irrespective of background e.g. age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. We do this because we believe that greater diversity leads to greater results for the charities we work with.
