The Role

Are you passionate about working with communities across Greater London, helping to reduce the harmful impact gambling can have on individuals and families? 

Do you want to make a difference by raising awareness of gambling-related harms within community groups across Greater London, helping to build confidence in talking openly about gambling and the support available from our service?

If so, one of the key priorities of GamCare London is to reach out to individuals, families, and communities to make it easier to talk about gambling and gambling related harms. This is done by working across the area to engage with underserved communities, ensuring everyone can access information and support.

Crucially, you’ll be responsible for building effective working partnerships with professional services through the delivery of presentations, networking and creating new referral pathways. Your role will be integral in making the service accessible, by embedding support for gambling related harm across communities in Greater London.

Working hours are usually 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, however, to meet the needs of the service the role might include some evenings and occasional weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Participation in service promotion, networking activities and events to support visibility and ongoing development of the service 
• Development and maintenance of relationships with local services and communities, providing information to support identification of gambling harms and pathways into service
• Development of collaborative working relationships with external agencies, professionals, and groups, and delivering presentations on gambling harms and how to support people to access the service
• Providing advice, brief and extended brief interventions to people affected by gambling harms

As the successful candidate you’ll be an excellent communicator (written and verbal) and have th ability to present and tailor content for a range of professional and public audiences on sensitive topics.

You will be experienced in community-based work and have the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, to champion our vision for gambling support in Greater London.

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and those who care about them. We help ostomates to return to sports, hobbies and other activities after surgery, and give them the confidence to return to a full life and take on fresh challenges. Our campaigns raise awareness of life with a stoma and encourage organisations to make their facilities more inclusive.

About the role:

As the Fundraising Executive you will work to grow income through developing our community engagement, attracting, building and managing relationships with a range of supporters (individual donors and fundraisers, community groups, local businesses, volunteers etc). You will lead on the stewardship of events and challenges, including our annual Step Up campaign, by supporting individuals and groups to raise funds through fundraising activities. The post-holder will also support the recording of donations, send appropriate acknowledgements, review fundraising materials, and prepare fundraising content for social media, our website and our quarterly magazine, Tidings. The right candidate will be in a prime position for career progression as we grow our small team.

Core role responsibilities

 · Working alongside the Fundraising Manager to implement the fundraising strategy, with a focus on building unrestricted income

Do you wish to be part of a growing and dynamic Fundraising team and support our Farming community? RABI, the leading UK farming charity, are seeking a fundraiser with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in generating income from trusts and foundations.

You must be a great communicator with experience in prospect research, writing funding proposals and developing relationships with trust representatives. This is an exciting time to join RABI as we develop a strategy aimed at raising seven-figure sums in 3-4 years to support the farming community.

As part of a growing and dynamic Fundraising team, your main duties will be to research trust and foundations, create and send applications and steward relationship with current and future charitable trusts. As part of the team, you will also be involved in generating funds across various other income streams.

Key responsibilities:

• Research and identify charitable trusts which may provide future financial support to RABI whilst maximising the potential for giving from trusts with which the Charity already has a relationship.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key trust representatives.

The Data Analyst: Geo-Spatial position will play a key role in the implementation of a new digital Information Management System (IMS) for the organisation’s monitoring and evaluation data. The system is in place and is in the process of being refined by a consultant. The new post-holder will have a handover with the consultant in order to take on the management of the IMS.

The role includes data management and analysis of all geo-spatial indicators across all projects. This will be done in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

The Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) is a unique coalition of organisations and individuals, working together to achieve our vision to: stop bullying and create safer environments in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn.

We work on developing campaigns, including the annual Anti-Bullying Week campaign, policy improvement and improving the anti-bullying practice of the children’s workforce.

As Project Officer you will support the school focused programme work of ABA; plan and deliver identified elements of project and programmes within the team; and, support ABA’s capacity to influence anti-bullying policy and improve anti-bullying practice.

Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential. You need to be passionate about what you do, creative, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working both independently, and with other team members.

We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic Communications and Marketing Officer to join our friendly and committed team, and raise the profile of our brand and wide-ranging work to support families across the UK.

The role

Our Communications and Marketing Officers support all areas of Family Fund’s communications and marketing department. In this role, you will use your creative flair to help deliver strategic communications and marketing plans. And you’ll craft compelling and engaging targeted content to support cross-channel campaigns.

Working closely with colleagues and partners, you’ll be promoting the grants and services we deliver and helping generate vital income so we can be there for even more families.

If you join us, you’ll be:

• Working with the Communications and Marketing Manager to create, implement and evaluate communications and marketing strategies and campaigns, across all areas of Family Fund’s work.
• Creating vibrant content that’s really focused on our target audiences This could be news stories, press releases, blogs, campaign copy, or email newsletters, website pages, social media posts.
• Helping secure positive media coverage for Family Fund and our work
• Supporting wide-ranging internal teams with communications and marketing advice and guidance, and targeted plans to help them achieve their goals
• Giving an editorial steer- editing and proof-reading so all our external content is in line with our brand guidelines.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest communications and digital marketing trends and putting these into practice in your role.

About you

You’ll be someone who is driven by our purpose, and excited about achieving impactful communications and marketing outcomes. You’ll need strong verbal and written communication skills as well as experience of copywriting, editing and proof-reading.

Also, you’ll need solid digital marketing skills, including creating engaging social media posts, across channels.

Finally, you’ll need to be confident in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

As a Digital Communications Coordinator you will work across the UK assisting the Activist Engagement team with digital support to improve the engagement of our active members throughout the four countries. You’ll be working closely with members and RCN staff coordinating the digital tools and platforms needed to develop and enhance peer to peer communication for our active members, strengthening activist communities and building power.

It's a job full of possibilities as you could get involved in anything from member participation using digital technology; data management; to scoping the market for new and innovative technology to support member participation.

In this role you will be working to across two main areas of priority: digital tools and data management. You’re day-to-day will be coordinating all the digital engagement tools and platforms. This may include supporting member to member participation through existing platforms to scoping the technology market for new innovative ways to increase member engagement. With support from the Lead for Activist communities you will also manage all aspects of digital engagement data and work closely with the Data and IT teams to ensure data protection.

We’re looking for someone who is technology savvy and is comfortable working with numbers. Someone who pays attention to detail and who can work as part of a team while hitting individual targets. Who is a go-getter and can follow the direction set by the Lead for Activist Communities, the Head of Activist Engagement, and the over-all strategic direction of the Activism Academy. It is important you can build professional relationships with members and staff by promoting a working atmosphere where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Most importantly you will have a commitment to grow a deeper understanding of building activism which will help to shape the RCN’s activist engagement.

About the role

You’ll mobilise people to become part of a growing community, taking action to improve the lives of everyone affected by Parkinson's. • Be accountable for developing, overseeing delivery and evaluation of the local community development plan
• Create an inclusive model of feedback and collaboration that increases participation and involvement across diverse communities 
• Source and analyse validated data and local intelligence to support the  community to make informed decisions about priorities and evaluate interventions
• Build and develop local partnerships, collaborations, coalitions in order to achieve innovative and creative responses with positive outcomes that will meet identified needs

What you’ll bring

• Experience of people (staff and volunteer) management as well as a commitment to working collaboratively with volunteers, and demonstrable experience of engaging and maintaining relationships with stakeholders including those from diverse communities
• Experience of engaging and inspiring internal and external stakeholders to support and deliver organisational objectives
• Experience of facilitating and modelling a collaborative and transparent approach, which promotes trust, mutual respect, ownership, reflection and a sense of responsibility 
• Knowledge and/or experience of appropriate health, social care structures and services relevant to Parkinson’s and of the principles of influencing and campaigning
