Location: Remote working with travel to Together Trust locations in Greater Manchester and surrounding area and attending some meetings throughout England where necessary.
Leading on Policy and Campaign development of the charity’s policy, your role will be to put forward evidence-based policy recommendations and campaigns and working with the people we support to influence change ensuring that the voice of the people we support is heard and acted on by key decision makers.
Acting as the spokesperson for the Together Trust and the people it supports on policy issues you will be responsible for the following:
- Managing and developing the Together Trust’s policy and campaigns strategy in line with the Trust’s strategic long-term plan.
- Leading on the development of policy priorities with staff and the people we support. Working with them to develop a Theory of Change for the Together Trust. Working directly with the Trust Directors, Trustees and external agencies.
- Representing the Together Trust at meetings with MPs, Councillors, parliamentary groups, select committees to help drive forward Together Trust’s policy and campaigns work.
- Improving the Together Trust’s visibility in UK Parliament by attending sessions, submitting evidence and nurturing networks.
- Reporting on policy, campaigns and participation activities to the Supporting People sub-group, providing updates on activity and progress against key milestones.
- This role has line management responsibilities.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- An undergraduate degree qualification (Level 6 or equivalent), preferably in a relevant discipline with a good understanding of the UK political environment, local and national government structures and decision-making.
- Line management experience supporting team members to achieve their KPIs.
- Experience of using different campaign tactics including recruitment actions and support journeys.
- Experience of speaking at events or representing an organisation in a professional setting.

Blue Marine Foundation seeks to protect and restore life in the ocean, aiming to see at least 30 per cent of the world’s oceans protected by 2030. We are a London-based NGO, with around 50 projects in 25 countries around the world.
Blue Marine is seeking a campaigner to join our policy and media team. This new position will report to the Director of Ocean and Climate. The responsibilities will be to manage a discreet, one year, global marine conservation campaign. This will include managing relationships between the campaign team, NGO partners, influencers and political stakeholders.

They will already be gaining momentum in the sector, with the ability to implement campaigns, understanding the complex political dynamics that go into ocean governance. Experience in the southern ocean, central and south America and at international ocean fora will all be beneficial to the role. An eye for technical detail, organisational rigour when it comes to delivery against workplans and the stamina and temerity to see campaigns through to their conclusion will all be useful in this role.

ROLE PURPOSE
PAN UK is the only charity in the UK focused solely on tackling the problems caused by pesticides and promoting safe and sustainable alternatives in agriculture, urban areas, homes and gardens.
We are looking for a passionate, organised, self-motivated individual with experience of corporate campaigning to lead PAN UK’s highly-impactful supermarket campaign which aims to reduce pesticide-related harms to both human health and the environment. Launched in 2019, the campaign has secured a wide range of wins from getting Tesco to ban 200 toxic pesticides from use within its global supply chains to convincing Co-op, Waitrose, Aldi and Lidl to stop selling synthetic garden pesticides.
As Campaigns Officer, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including; campaign strategy development, meeting with decision-makers, providing feedback on policies, writing communications materials and running events. You do not need to have extensive knowledge of pesticide issues but must be able to pick up new, complex topics quickly and communicate them confidently.
In addition to running the supermarkets campaign, you will be an integral part of a small, high-performing team which is also working to influence national government and local councils. It should be noted that, while in its current iteration this role will focus on PAN UK’s supermarket campaign, the organisation reserves the right to change this focus in the future to another campaign focussed on reducing UK pesticide-harms to human health and the environment.

Advocacy
· Maintain excellent working relationships with staff from the UK’s ten largest supermarkets, while also playing the role of ‘critical friend’ by pushing them to strengthen their approach to pesticides.
· Meet regularly with individual supermarkets to discuss progress made by the company and make recommendations for further improvements.
· Provide feedback to supermarkets on their existing pesticide-related policies and recommendations for improvements, including collating comments from other PAN UK staff.
· Track progress made by supermarkets on implementing PAN UK’s recommendations by keeping thorough records.
Communications, mobilisation and events
· Work closely with PAN UK’s Head of Communications to design and launch major outputs and publications.
· Write online and offline communications (including policy documents, press releases, web pages, blogs and social media posts), paying close attention to detail including potential implications for libel.
· Create opportunities to secure media coverage for the campaign and liaise with journalists.
· Create e-actions designed to mobilise members of the public.
· Use PAN UK’s convening power to organise and run events that bring decision-makers together to discuss common obstacles and solutions.
· Give presentations and chair events on behalf of PAN UK.
Strategy
· Lead the other PAN UK staff members through regular reviews of, and updates to, supermarket campaign strategy.
· Spot key opportunities for advancing the aims of the supermarket campaign and design and implement plans for taking advantage of them.

The Suzy Lamplugh Trust was born out of the tragic story of Suzy Lamplugh, a 25-year-old estate agent who went missing whilst at work in 1986, was never found, and was eventually declared deceased in 1993. The Trust was set up in Suzy’s name and continues to be a pioneer in reducing the risk and prevalence of abuse, aggression and violence - with a specific focus on stalking and harassment – through education, campaigning and support.
You will be working for a growing charity that delivers high value impact to those we train, those we educate, those we support and to the general public through our campaigning and policy work. Our Stalking Helpline offers support and advice to thousands of victims of stalking every year, while our bespoke advocacy teams work closely with partners and stakeholders across the Violence Against Women and Girls’ (VAWG) sector, the criminal justice system, and both statutory and non-statutory services to ensure our clients can live a live free from abuse and fear.
We are an organisation that has:
- been responsible for training over one million lone and frontline workers across all sectors in personal safety;
- campaigned heavily and played a pivotal role in driving changes in the law to better protect people across the UK; and
- supported over 75,000 victims and survivors of stalking since the inception of our National Stalking Helpline and stalking advocacy service.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is about making a difference, supporting the most vulnerable, standing up against what is wrong, driving systemic change, and holding decision makers to account. We work hard so our beneficiaries sleep better at night, so families can reunite at the end of the working day, and so that victims of harassment and stalking are given the chance to regain control of their situations,
- To lead on Suzy Lamplugh Trust’s policy and campaign work relating to stalking, in order to ensure that victims of stalking continue to have their voices heard and receive effective and appropriate responses and that the Suzy Lamplugh Trust continues to be the expert policy voice in this area.
- This role will also lead on the broader harassment, online harms and workplace safety policy and campaigns agenda of the Trust. The post holder will work on multiple, diverse and fast-paced projects in a committed and expert team.

Freedom from Torture's award winning campaigns, developed and delivered alongside survivors of torture, have made a huge impact for people. From our Stop the Flights campaign, persuading airlines to pull out of the UK's cruel Rwanda scheme to successfully campaigning to remove torture, war crimes and crimes against humanity from impunity protections in the Overseas Operations Bill.
This role sits within the Survivor Leadership and Influencing Directorate and is responsible for developing impactful, strategic campaigns that support the delivery of Freedom from Torture's influencing aims.
A new role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and lead a programme of work that will deliver a shift in narrative and positive policy changes to stop torture and stand up for the rights of survivors. This role works closely with Freedom from Torture's digital team, experts in innovative, engaging digital campaigns delivery.
About the role
The key purpose of the role is to lead on the strategy and delivery of Freedom from Torture's campaigns programme to deliver our influencing objectives.
