Main Purpose of Position:

To provide urgent information, advice and guidance support for individuals in dealing with complex interlinked issues through intensive 1-1 personalised support service. Responsibilities/ Core Duties:

To provide a support service through 1-1 interview sessions, telephone contact, face-to-face and in-depth support with follow-up and record keeping. This post primarily involves providing focused support to help individuals deal with urgent financial, housing, health and benefits issues and provide ongoing support often acting as a conduit, with liaison, advocacy and referral to specialist agencies in health, housing, finance and debt advice, counselling, benefits, domestic violence, immigration and other legal matters. You will need to have strong people skills and the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues and clients, excellent organisational skills and the ability to digest complex briefs. You will be required to manage an active caseload, ensuring that cases are appropriately actioned and recorded and that deadlines are met.

KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES

• Ensuring that all casework records are kept up to date and completed clearly and effectively.
• Contributing to monitoring service delivery and recording client outcomes.

These are the basic duties required of the Housing Adviser. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. This role will be based primarily in our advice offices in Willesden (Brent), with some outreach work in Haringey borough. There may be some options for flexible working (one day per week)

7. Oversee the development of tools and guidance to assist IOM country offices in engaging with FCDO, UK Home Office and other UK donors on ongoing and potential new programming.

Program Manager, Responsible Supply Chains

This is a key role in the Freedom Fund’s Responsible Supply Chains initiative to address forced labour in global supply chains. Working closely with the International Finance Director, the Legacy Administrator will be a key point of contact for all legacy-related matters, providing crucial support to the organisation’s legacy income and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that gifts left to Barnabas Aid are administered correctly and that supporters’ wishes are honoured.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: 12-month fixed-term (continuation beyond this is subject to funding)

Family Hubs are a central tenet of the Salford City Council’s Family Partnership Early Help Service, which was established in 2017. Following a full service review, redesign and, public consultation, Salford City Council’s Early Help services for children, young people and their families aged 0-25 (family support, children’s centres, youth service) were brought together and Children’s Centre sites were re-positioned as Family Hubs.

There are currently 4 Family Hubs in the city, offering integrated services and support for families at a neighbourhood, place-based level. The Family Hubs enable integrated delivery and co-location of services such as Salford City Council’s early help teams, 0-19 health teams, youth service teams, schools’ coordinators, school readiness advisors, Area Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators, early support key workers and portage workers.

The range of services delivered through the Family Hubs includes antenatal and postnatal support, child health, early help, relationship support, parenting support, SEND provision (neurodevelopment pathway, early support, and portage), adult and child mental health support (including parent, infant mental health). Salford City Council’s Family Partnership Early Help Service took the Family Hub model to the next level of development through co-production and participation with a focus on engagement with the VCSE sector and the development of a volunteering programme, this programme of work is delivered by Salford CVS.

As a result of the partnership with Salford CVS, there has been an expansion to the existing Family Hub network to include a range of VCSE sector organisations which has built the capacity to enhance the Family Hub offer and ensure that Family Hubs are sustainable and owned by the communities they are located within.

• Can effectively engage with a diverse range of VCSE organisations support them to access Family Hub Small Grant Investment, act as Referral Organisations for the family hub Navigators and include them as part of the Family Hub Partnership delivery model

Job Title:                Farm Volunteer Coordinator

Location:               Hybrid- based at farms with occasional home working. After cleaning season base will be Poplar.

About The Felix Project
The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. This food is sorted at one of our four depots or turned into meals in Felix’s Kitchen. It is then distributed to over 1,200 community organisations, such as food banks, homeless shelters and primary schools, all of whom are working within communities across London to feed people experiencing hunger.

Purpose of the Job 

Volunteers play a central role in every aspect of The Felix Project’s work, and we work hard to build a happy and positive environment for all our volunteers. We’re very lucky to have many organisations who want to volunteer with us. 

The Farm Volunteer Coordinator position facilities group volunteering, be that from one of Felix’s corporate partners or another organisation seeking a great team experience. This role is focused primarily on the farms in Kent and Sussex that we rescue food from in the run up to and during harvest season.

Out of farming season, you will mainly be working from home. This will mainly involve project work and assisting in the day to day running and improvement of the group volunteering process at Felix. You will also be needed in the London depots/events around once a week to support staff and volunteers there.

You will be accountable for the management of the group volunteer bookings and briefings at the farm and other environments, cultivating strategic volunteer relationships and exploring new opportunities for partners to support Felix through volunteering.
