The role
This role will identify, develop and manage top food partners relationships and strengthen existing business relationships with companies in the food industry, generating value for the partner and to secure growing and sustainable volumes of surplus food for the FareShare Network.
For designated top food partners, you will be their day to day point of contact with regular face to face contact at all levels. You will undertake structured, strategic account management, leading and coordinating FareShare’s engagement across our organisation. This will mean agreeing and executing a bespoke joint business plan with each account to get more food, money and strategic support. You will also feedback on ways that we can better support our accounts and improve our services to them.
You will work directly and be on-site with top food partners to help identify and overcome the barriers which exist to giving surplus food to people in need as well as increasing money and strategic resource.
You will also be required to work closely with FareShare colleagues within FareShare and across the UK in our partner organisations in order to identify and understand opportunities for creating mutual and shared value.
Main areas of responsibility
Partnership Management
- Contribute to the development of consistent, structured Joint Business plans with designated accounts that take into account food, funding and other strategic initiatives to drive growth in food, money and other strategic resources.
- Work on behalf of the account to develop and embed services relevant to the account and
- agreed through the joint business plan – e.g. employability or store level redistribution.
- Execute joint business plans and report internally and externally on progress.
- Research and understand your accounts, including key ESG initiatives, waste streams, key personnel within the organisation that will help drive its success and engage the relevant internal departments through both desked based research and face to face contact.
- Proactively drive account forwards and progress these relationships with regular on-site visits and linking FareShare exec with key contacts.
- Keep up to date with industry and charity insights and ensure this is reflected back strategically across ways of working and account management
Project and Initiative Management
- Be responsible for managing and communicating key projects and initiatives to increase food volumes and strategic value, securing support from a range of stakeholders within food partners and across the FareShare network.
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Logistics, Operations and Network Development teams with the aim of optimising food out to our network
- Develop and lead FareShare cross-departmental strategic activity to enable us to derive maximum value from key food partners including liaising with fundraising, marketing and volunteering teams

About the role
At a time of growth and of new opportunities for the Motability Foundation, we are looking for a Public Affairs Manager to join our Communications Team and lead our Public Affairs activity for the organisation.
Our vision is to fund, support, research, and innovate, so all disabled people can make the journeys they choose. There are an estimated 16 million disabled people in the UK, and this role will play a crucial part in our work to raise awareness of the work of the Motability Foundation, amplify the voices of disabled people and to influence policy.
·This new role will work alongside our new Evidence and Policy Manager, based in our Innovation team, and other colleagues across the organization as well as key partners (Motability Operations), to manage our horizon scanning and monitoring of the political landscape, leading on advising our Governors, CEO and senior management team on actions we need to take, and preparing detailed briefings for engagements, and events with Parliamentarians and senior Ministers. Everyday millions of older and disabled people are denied the social care they need. Most local authorities can’t meet the growing demand for care, none are confident they can meet their legal duties in the future. This affects all of us, we will all need social care at some point.

About the role
This is an exciting time to join our organisation. We have a new strategy and are growing quickly including across our senior leadership team. This is a demanding, yet hugely fulfilling new post in which the post holder will have overall responsibilty for the management and day to day operations of our new mobile support van. A large proportion of the post holder's time will be spent taking the van along with a team of volunteers on outreach to where there are survivors of sex trafficking. Our immediate priority area is Bedford. This will involve driving to sites of sexual exploitation and trafficking, such as the streets, properties used as brothels, airports and other places, as necessary. The post holder will lead outreach sessions supported by trained volunteers, in partnership with Bedfordshire Police and UK Border Force. The post holder will be a part of Azalea's frontline team (we call this Encompass) and will work with them to offer survivors of sex trafficking crisis intervention and ongoing support. The nature of this form of outreach will require the post holder to work flexible and unsociable hours (37.5 hours per week), however Azalea offers a generous annual leave allowance. Since this is a new role, the post holder will be required to use their initiative and draw on the knowledge and experience of the team to develop a full-time operational plan for the support van.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

You will manage and grow Stronger Together’s business relations in a variety of sectors, both in the UK and globally to generate funding and drive impact. This includes taking the lead in developing project proposals for clients.

Who you are:

An experienced professional with an in-depth understanding of and subject matter expertise on working with businesses on responsible recruitment, ethical labour practices and modern slavery, and significant experience in business engagement/developing and managing senior management corporate sponsor relations (min. 5 years’ experience).

The ideal candidate should have experience in a business development role, a track record in building and developing business relations, and strong experience of giving presentations, delivering pitches and closing deals.

Experienced in maintaining and developing corporate sponsor relations including writing client and grant proposals.

An excellent trainer, with experience of delivering training to businesses.

As an Area Manager you will give leadership, direction and guidance to the staff of Medaille Trust to ensure the provision and development of a high quality service in line with the Trust’s Mission, Values and Strategy.
You will have a good understanding of the CQC framework relating to Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking. You will carry out quarterly assurance audits in all safe houses ensuring any appropriate action is taken where necessary.
You will line manage, induct, mentor, coach and support Service Managers. Additionally, you will ensure that any complaints, grievances and disciplinaries are investigated and responded to in an effective and timely manner in line with Medaille Policies.
Although the post is home based, the post holder will be expected to travel frequently to our safe houses within the South and London areas with some overnight stays.
You must have previous experience in a relevant sector or experience of working with adults that are vulnerable. Experience of managing staff, carrying out line management, supervision and appraisals is essential. Additionally, you must have experience of setting up Service User Engagement groups.

The Mencap Community and Events Team has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and passionate fundraiser, dedicated to raising as much funds as possible to help make the UK the best place to live for people with a learning disability to join our team as Senior Community Fundraising Manager covering England and Wales.
Covering the England and Wales the Community Fundraising Manager will be responsible for managing various income streams across the Community portfolio working closely with the wider team.
Within this role, you will achieve agreed fundraising targets through effective management, support and cultivation of both existing and new regional supporters including: individuals, groups, associations, local corporates and schools whilst maximising the current portfolio of Mencap owned products. You will research, identify and develop new community fundraising opportunities, areas of potential support and build a robust pipeline for restricted grants and corporate partners.
The role is home based. There will be travel around the areas that the role covers.
This position is a permanent, full-time role to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The nature of community fundraising is that there will be evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given.
Key skills and requirements (essential):
