All our events, whether in-person, hybrid or entirely online, are produced to a very high standard and often include high-profile speakers and audiences. Our Events Officers work with colleagues across the Institute to deliver our range of public events, roundtables, workshops and conferences.
As part of the events team, within the wider communications team and reporting to the Head of Events, you will:
- Support the design and co-ordination of the Institute’s programme of public and private events, including panel discussions, conferences, receptions, workshops and roundtables.
- Manage all logistics and marketing for timely, professional event organisation and delivery.
- Help prepare for and deliver Institute events outside of London, including our party conference programme.
- Share management of the busy events email inbox and deal with internal and external event enquiries.

Karibuni Children, a UK registered charity, works to help Kenyan children from some of the poorest backgrounds, to fulfil their potential and release themselves from the cycle of poverty. At any one time, we are supporting around 700 children across Kenya and our aim is to walk with the children through their whole education. In addition to providing financial support to enable children to attend high-quality educational institutes, we work to reduce other barriers that may prevent those living below the poverty line from maximising their educational potential. This includes provision of nutritious school meals, school uniforms and shoes, learning equipment and feminine hygiene products. We also support initiatives focused on the empowerment of the wider family unit of each supported child, such as providing workshops on parenting skills, sustainable food production, nutrition, entrepreneurship, and business skills. The charity is seeking to recruit a UK Operations Manager to support the programme of work. The successful candidate will be one of only two paid employees, working with the Trustees to lead the charity through the next phase of its development.
Job Description
Salary: up to £30,000 – 34,000 full time equivalent depending on experience.
Contract: Permanent / Part Time (30 hours per week)
This role is envisaged as permanent part time for 30 hours per week over a minimum of four days. Role purpose:
To manage the UK Office activities and support Trustees in administrative tasks relating to Fundraising, Finance and Operational matters.
Key work areas and tasks:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Administration & Operations
● Develop and maintain effective and efficient administrative systems

● Oversee Gift Aid claims and ensure that compliance with regulations is maintained
● Assist volunteer Treasurer with preparation of management accounts as necessary
● Maintain records for restricted and designated funds, reconcile Charity Gifts income and other income sources.
Fundraising
● Ensure postings to CRM are accurate and reconcile to financial systems
● Manage receipts from online sites and ensure that CRM system is updated accordingly
● Ensure that all donations are appropriately acknowledged
● Organise and manage Karibuni’s own-organised fundraising events, marketing events on internal and external platforms, registering participants, overseeing risk assessments, and maintaining related records.

Main aim of the role:
Playing a vital role within our expanding youth support team at Future Skills, you will work to support and empower our young people to re-engage and return to education and employment. TreeHouse School is a happy and vibrant community where autistic children and young people learn and flourish. Currently, we have 100 pupils on roll aged 4- 19 years old. We provide children with the specialist, intensive and integrated support to enable them to learn, thrive and achieve. All pupils have a Primary diagnosis of autism with some that also have additional complex needs. TreeHouse School was inspected by Ofsted in 2023 and found to be "Outstanding" in all areas. About the opportunity
As our Digital Marketing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Marketing Manager and broader team in volunteer and school recruitment efforts, while managing our social media presence. Duties and responsibilities

About the role
The Associate Director of Regular Giving is a key new role for UCL and the Office of the Vice-President (Advancement). You will lead on the reimagining and reintroduction of UCL's Regular Giving (direct marketing fundraising) programme, which was paused in 2015. Between now and 2026, when UCL launches an ambitious fundraising and engagement campaign in our 200th year, you will research, design, and test a broad-based giving proposition capable of inspiring our 400,000 strong alumni community when launched.
