The Project Coordinator will:

The Project Coordinator role is responsible for the smooth running of our projects and programmes. The Job

The Learning Networks Portfolio Manager will:

• Report to the Managing Director

• Be employed on a permanent contract

• Be based remote or hybrid, with regular travel to London

The Role In Brief

This position plays a central role in the delivery of Koreo’s work; responsible for a portfolio of the company’s biggest and most established programmes. It will be a varied role and will require someone to lead project teams in the design and delivery of high quality national learning programmes, while also playing a key role in the development of Koreo as an organisation
better able to build a just and regenerative future.

1. Responsible for the successful delivery and development of a portfolio of national learning programmes and projects. This portfolio of work is primarily focused on cross-sector learning programmes that bring cohorts of people together around learning missions. Examples include Civic Futures and the London Engagement Collaborative
with the GLA.
2. Responsible for sustaining and growing the portfolio, and with it Koreo’s profile, network, and income. This might be focused on developing the existing programmes in the portfolio, or could include wider writing, public speaking, pitching and networking
which support the distribution of the work.
3. An internal leadership role in developing a just and inclusive culture in which a diverse team can do its best work. This includes line management of one Project Coordinator, development of organisational practice and process, and work with the team on culture and development.

Pathway specialist - Property (Tutor)

Do you have a conveyancing legal background with an interest in Tutoring students?

We have a permanent opportunity for a conveyancing legal professional to join a Law School on a permanent basis, for 2-3 days a week (across Mon - Thurs). This role is fully remote as learners are online, but there would be a requirement to attend in-person meetings in Bedford, up to 6 times per year.

• Manage caseload of learners: onboard, assess skills, and create development plans.

Background - Number Champions

We set up Number Champions in 2018 to transform the lives of children in state primary schools who struggle with numeracy or lack confidence in maths.  We employed our first staff member, our Head of Operations (HoO), in 2022 and our second, an administrator, in 2023.. 

We are the only charity systematically working in-person with young children in our field.  Early support will put children on track to achieve their full life potential in a world where some fluency with maths is an essential building block. Success in this one area can increase their self-esteem and their involvement in education as a whole. 

Now in our sixth year, we are working across 14 London boroughs in 32 partner schools, with over 110 In-School Volunteers supporting more than 300 children. We plan to increase these numbers each year. Our medium-term vision is to expand across London, while maintaining the highly positive impact we have achieved to date. 

We are proud to have received two national awards last year recognising the work of our volunteers, and we are currently shortlisted for a 2024 award.

Everyone at Number Champions is passionate about improving children’s educational and life chances. 

 

The Administrator role 

Our HoO has taken the lead in developing the charity and in giving us the capacity to expand further while maintaining quality of delivery. The administrator reports to the HoO and manages the bulk of the administration processes of the charity.  

The role is for an equivalent of 2 days a week, during school term-time only. It will be almost all remote, although you will be expected to attend occasional meetings in Central London (or possibly North London if that is more convenient for you). 

We intend the role to be permanent, but we are offering an 11-month contract September to July pending confirmation of funding. 

Impact on the organisation 

You will take on key responsibilities for administration and for contact with different groups of stakeholders. In a small professional team, you will have the opportunity to suggest ideas and to influence the development of the charity.

Core responsibilities 

• Manage the administration processes of onboarding volunteers and schools
• Gather, capture, and maintain the charity’s data in our management system
• Communicate with volunteers and with office and finance staff at partner schools
• Raise invoices
• Manage basic bookkeeping

• Provide occasional cover for other staff, as required
• Other activities as required from time to time to support the HoO, SRM, and charity.

Benefits 

25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, prorated for a 2-day-a-week role. 

(Although the role is for only 39 weeks a year we will pay you for  33 days annual holiday reduced only by 2/5 for working 2 days a week.  This increases your take home pay by about 4% compared to also reducing holidays by 39/52 for weeks worked.)

Do you want to join an organisation committed to addressing low literacy and numeracy levels amongst people in prison?

Shannon Trust deliver literacy and numeracy programmes to thousands of people in prison each year. To support the development of further learning and volunteering opportunities post-release, we are establishing a strategic partnership with fellow charity Read Easy. We are now seeking to recruit a Post-Release Pathways Co-ordinator to develop this partnership on the ground, who will develop links between Shannon Trust prison programmes and Read Easy community groups.

This is a home-based role but does require occasional travel around the UK.

The RSCM is on a mission to enable the flourishing of church music, and in particular to get children singing.

Working across the whole charity, you will work to sell existing products, courses and events, as well as membership subscriptions. With a passion for the power of singing and music, you will persuade musicians, teachers and members of church communities of the value of RSCM’s offerings. You will build and leverage a network of advocates to help spread the word, accelerating take-up and growing the RSCM’s reach in churches and schools.

The post holder will be expected to work to actively drive sales of RSCM products such as ‘Hymnpact!’ (a singing resource aimed at encouraging singing in primary schools), sales of events such as singing courses, and membership subscriptions; and in some instances voluntary giving. Some of the work will be in support of RSCM Enterprises, RSCM’s wholly owned trading subsidiary.

The sales plan will be delivered with some assistance of external contractors (e.g. social media), and with input from individuals across the organisation.

The post holder is responsible for selling to individuals, corporate customers (such as school federations) and organisations (e.g. choral societies) including through appropriate organisational networks. Tutorials are delivered online in groups of 2-4 students via our bespoke online platform. 

Tutors should be able to commit to a minimum of three hours per week, between the hours of 4pm and 8pm on a weekday, to tutor The Access Project students.

We are looking for A Level tutors in these subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Economics, English, French, Further Maths, Geography, History, Maths, Physics, Politics, Psychology, Sociology and Spanish.

About the Organisation

Our mission is to support students from under-resourced backgrounds to access top universities, through a unique combination of tuition and in-school mentoring. We work with them to make good applications, get the grades and transition to university.

The programme combats educational inequality and improves social mobility by raising students’ grades and supporting them to understand the pathway to a top university. Students who receive support from our programme are almost twice as likely to attend top universities as statistically similar students, according to UCAS.

Tutor Responsibilities

• Adhere to the charity’s safeguarding policies, including undertaking an Enhanced DBS check
• Schedule tutorials with your tutor groups 
• Responsively plan and deliver stimulating, high-quality tuition in line with our Tuition Quality Framework 
• Deliver weekly hour-long tutorials via The Access Project’s online platform 
• Complete weekly attendance forms 
• Provide feedback on student progress 
• Supply monthly invoices 
• Take part in our observation and feedback process 

Person Specification 

• UK based with the right to work in the UK 
• Passionate about The Access Project’s mission 

• A level teaching and/or extensive tutoring experience (minimum of two years) in a group setting 
• Positive, engaging and flexible teaching style 
• Familiarity with and strong knowledge of relevant exam boards and specifications 
• Achieved a minimum of Grade B at GCSE in Maths, English and Science 
• Evidence of ability to tutor one of the following subjects to A Level standard: Biology, Chemistry, Economics, English, French, Further Maths, Geography, History, Maths, Physics, Politics, Psychology, Sociology and Spanish.

Now is an exciting time to join the Brand and Content team as we build on our recent work of introducing a new content strategy and rolling out our new brand. 

If you have some experience in brand, content and social media and want to develop your skills and expertise in a talented and well-respected team, we’d love to hear from you. 

A focus of this role is producing, promoting and quality assuring content that gets more people on to our programmes; builds awareness, understanding and positive perceptions of our brand; and helps the education sector to understand the value of high quality, evidence-based professional development. You’ll support others to do the same too.  

We’re looking for a collaborative and proactive communicator who can work with stakeholders to create brilliant content; deliver a high-quality experience for audiences on our social media channels; and help everyone to use our brand well.

We would like you to:

• Manage our social media accounts day-to-day: monitoring and responding to engagement; producing and quality assuring excellent content for key moments; scheduling posts; and boosted content campaigns. 
• Maintain, produce and develop brand assets including merchandise designs, templates, guidance, visuals, photography and videography. 
• Act as a content business partner for your assigned programmes and areas: establish effective relationships and ways of working with stakeholders, taking ownership of content planning, production, promotion and maintenance. 
• Lead projects and carry out ad hoc tasks to drive the continual improvement of our brand, content, social media and team operations. 

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Brand and Content Associate Director.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition. 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll be a strong copywriter with the ability to adapt and adhere to the Ambition tone of voice and style guide. It is essential that you have experience in creating content in a range of formats and for a range of channels. Whilst it would be desirable for you to have design skills with experience of using InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop, this is not essential for the role.
