This is a new and exciting role that will build and develop relationships with churches and individuals, to secure significant income, and bring in frequent and targeted income through regular donations, fundraising campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience covering several areas including Individual Giving; Churches, Fundraising Appeals/Campaigns, as well as experience in managing the operational aspects of fundraising. Through this, you will assist the whole organisation in our commitment to showing kindness, raising self-belief, and inspiring hope for the future in the individuals we serve.

We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with a passion for our mission to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives, by growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement, and fulfilling fundraising operational duties such as ensuring that we have a database that is organised, up to date and fit for purpose.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Develop deliver and monitor a fundraising strategy for Pecan.
2. Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to Pecan's supporters.
3. Assist with setting up our CRM database, developing and maintaining it to ensure efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
4. Develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
5. Pioneer and develop a broad range of relationships with churches, organisations, and denominations across Southwark.
6. Management of a part time Partnerships Manager with responsibility.

Essential Requirements: 

1. 3 years charity fundraising experience or evidence of very relatable experience.
2. Experience / understanding of fundraising campaigns.
3. Experience working on either eTapestry, Raisers Edge, Salesforce or Donorfy CRM systems.
4. Ability to connect and network with a wide range of people through a broad variety of communication methods.
5. A good level of general education including GCSE Maths and English plus A-levels or equivalent.

The Database Assistant will maintain Symplectic Grant Tracker, a key organisational database, ensuring all data is accurate and meaningful. This database holds the application portal for organisations and is how the Grants & Learning Team manage and support funded partners with their grants. You will undertake regular database administration tasks, such as adding new users, updating forms, importing data and amending the database where required by the team.

You will play a key role in the organisation around GDPR and data protection, working alongside the Database Administrator with a focus on our Salesforce databases, to ensure consistency across both systems. You’ll be working within a team that advocates for evidence-led decision making and a sustainable data culture.

You’ll be a member of the Communications & Marketing team, reporting into the Insights Manager. You’ll also be working closely with the Grants & Learning Team who are responsible for delivering our ambitious, nationwide grants programme and who currently support over 500 grassroots organisations and 18-25 year old creatives. This role will be responsible for ensuring that the correct information is stored effectively and is easily accessible, reportable and usable on Grant Tracker. The Database Assistant will assist us to demonstrate delivery against our Business Plan by programming our grants database to be the most effective at collecting and producing the data output needed by the team.

This new role will be a reliable support for users across the organisation, providing helpful and friendly support.

 About you

 You will have experience with databases, excellent administration, communication and analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will be highly organised, task-focussed and have a methodical approach to your work. In addition, you’ll be able to demonstrate good understanding of regulatory and compliance practices surrounding data protection. You will lead on with the review and writing of guidance and user support materials, enabling users to feel confident in their use of databases.

You will be interested in developing a career in data management, particularly in the creative sector and/or grant-making. This role will enable you to develop your technical skills while gaining a good understanding of how a grant-maker and creative industry-based organisation works, as data and data management cuts across all elements of our work.

Key responsibilities

 General administration duties

• General administrative functions for Grant Tracker: user maintenance, updating records, importing data and amending the database.
• Database administration for funding programmes: setting up funding rounds, building forms, testing and ensuring data integrity.
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards for teams across the organisation, presenting data in a useful and efficient way.

User support

• Provide training for new users and growing Grant Tracker skillsets across Youth Music with one-off and ongoing training, support the development of our ‘super-users’, maintaining relationships across the team and supporting them with their daily system requirements.
• Maintain user manuals and system documentation, building upon existing data management processes and user guides.
• General bug-fixing and user support.

 Database maintenance and integrity

• Performing database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and ensuring data integrity.
• Ability to find creative and innovative solutions to solve problems and improve efficiency.
• Ensuring we comply with our own policies across all our databases with regards to GDPR legislation.
• Managing the relationship with our technology partners by gathering detailed requests for improvements or changes to the system.

General

• Carrying out all such additional duties as are reasonably commensurate with the role.

• At least one year’s continuous experience working in a similar role.

Role overview

The Project Support Officer will support our Programmes Team with activity related to project delivery while members of the team are on maternity leave. The postholder will be responsible for completing a variety of project delivery tasks that support the smooth running of our online mentoring. These tasks include administrative support through our online mentoring platform, data entry and data monitoring, training our volunteers to be mentors and inducting young people onto our programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Administrative support for our projects, including:
  • Supporting the programmes team to book regular meetings with partners
  • Monitoring a centralised support inbox for our partners
  • Monitoring a centralised support inbox for our mentors and mentees
  • Writing emails and other communications to our project users
  • Monitoring and reporting on mentee and mentor engagement on our projects
  • Moderating user messages and user profiles
  • Conducting safety spot checks on recorded video calls
  • Data entry on Salesforce related to our projects and users
  • Data entry on project and task progress on our project management system
  • Setting up zoom calls for training sessions and managing registrations

Salary and benefits

Salary: £24,900 - £27,200 (£14,940 - £16,500 actual based on 22.5 hours a week)

Role Summary

To support the development and delivery of community investment projects that deliver successful, measurable outcomes for TCH residents and communities, often working in conjunction with other TCH teams and external partners to achieve those outcomes.

The projects will focus on our key Community Investment Strategy themes; currently: tackling poverty and inequality; embedding well-being; customer co-creation and sharing power; community activities and programmes.

The role links with others across the organisation including our internal Customer Insight and Resident Engagement teams to understand our communities and supports our wider housing teams to deliver initiatives for the benefit of our residents.

The office base would depend on applicant. The successful applicant would need to travel between the different offices when required.

Role Specific Responsibilities

• Support the development and delivery of existing and new projects, initiatives and services that meet the aims of the Community Investment Strategy.
• Ensure these projects are outcome focused, that programmes/services are responsive to residents’ needs and reflect best practice and corporate priorities and meet regulatory expectations.
• To co-ordinate Community Investment projects and activities working in conjunction with residents, the wider organisation, contractors, and community partners.
• Support the effective monitoring and evaluation of community investment projects, ensuring that monitoring returns are received in agreed timescales and are accurate and outcome focused. Produce relevant performance reports and data as required.
• To provide support for the effective brokerage, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of social value across TCH contracts.
• Use customer data and insight to support our Community Investment work and to help build links with sections of the community who are not currently accessing our services.
• Attend networking and best practice groups as required. Maintain awareness of relevant government legislation and sector best practice and use this to inform your work on local activities and initiatives.
• Support the Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) process, helping to develop and monitor project briefs, donation frameworks, and grant funding (when grant processes are open), that respond to social needs and include measurable milestones, outputs and outcomes, budget management, risk mitigation and procurement. Manage service level agreements and freelance contractors.
• In conjunction with colleagues ensure that all areas of service delivery are effectively monitored and evaluated via the application of impact assessments, key performance indicators, social value outcomes and value for money reporting.
• Contribute to the review and development of systems, processes, and services to support TCH’s customer experience and service improvement aspirations, including through learning from complaints and feedback, and implementing change.
• Support our 3rd sector charity partners in ways that help them meet our residents’ needs, including supporting them to understand need and priorities based on data and resident insight.
• In conjunction with your manager and the PR & Communications Team promote community investment and social value projects, and outcomes. To demonstrate to residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders how we make a positive contribution to the neighbourhoods in which we work, that we listen to residents’ views and act on them and how projects and initiatives demonstrate our approach to treating residents fairly and with respect.

Role Overview

This position requires a proactive approach to ensure the smooth functioning of Operations and Facilities across our company.

Supporting the various services that make up Enable, Central Services consists of small and high output teams including Human Resources, Marcomms, Operations and Finance. Job Purpose

• Review procedures to streamline and increase efficiency, including IT procedures, office management procedures, stock up keep etc. 
• Reception: Post and deliveries collection and dispatch, welcoming visitors and responding to queries. 
• Stock check of the staff shared space, responsible for orders placement and financial spend tracking. 
• Responsible for shared inboxes related to fleet management, operations, maintenance and feedback.
• Managing a central system for monitoring and logging complaints, comments, Freedom of Information Requests making sure all are dealt with in accordance with the procedure and reporting figures quarterly. 
• Tracking insurance claims and accidents report for quarterly KPIs. 
• Manage company performance data, ensuring deadlines are met and reports ready for client.
• Manage the repairs tracker, raising POs and maintaining accurate budget records with input of invoices and purchase orders raised and support mangers with the preparation of financial reports. 
• Collect data regarding current stock, i.e. warranty length, equipment health and durability, etc, to support Operations Manager in developing a more financially strategic approach toward IT equipment 
• Become first point of contact for IT queries, ability to resolve basic IT issues, before escalating to IT service desk. 
• Seeking quotes for goods and services in line with Enable’s Procurement Code. 
• To comply with all Enable Codes of practice and policies and procedures concerning data protection and health and safety. 
• Required to occasionally travel inside and outside of the borough either by driving, cycling or using public transport. Required to drive Enable’s vehicles both in and outside the borough when appropriate.

The Ogden Trust is recruiting for a Programme Officer to support the delivery of our informal science learning programmes across England, working with universities and employers.

The Ogden Trust is a charitable Trust, supporting the teaching and learning of physics.  The Trust supports a range of initiatives, programmes and projects to promote the teaching and learning of physics.

The Programme Officer will report to the Programme Manager for the Opportunities for All strand of the Ogden strategy, which includes our work with universities to support physics outreach and public engagement and physics-related internships for 16-18-year-olds. They will manage the administrative and reporting side of the programmes, and organise related events.

Who we are looking for

You will need to have a good understanding of the informal science learning landscape and higher education in England and an interest in physics in particular. You must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with outreach professionals, academics and employers in physics-related sectors.

An excellent team player, you will have experience of working in programme administration and events organisation, with strong communication and organisational skills. A track record of building successful working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, particularly higher education and industry and the ability to work on your own initiative are valuable.

Impact monitoring plays a key role in conservation management — to ensure effective delivery of projects — and is something that donors are increasingly interested in seeing. This internship will provide an opportunity for someone at the start of their conservation career to gain experience in the design, development and implementation of robust project Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) processes, developing skills in data handling and management essential for assessing impact of project activities.

This internship will support current work to design and deliver MEL at the project level and across the Africa programme portfolio, by helping to support establishing systems and processes that enable the analysis and presentation of data gathered as part of Fauna & Flora’s work in Uganda.

As part of our work in Uganda, members of the community have been collecting data on chimpanzee sightings, threats and human-wildlife conflict. However, the systems and methods used to collect this data have changed over time, making comparing data between years and identifying conservation impact achieved challenging. This inconsistency in data management is a challenge faced across Fauna & Flora that we are seeking to address.

During this internship, you will work with the Uganda team, who have been working alongside partners to conserve chimpanzees in a human-dominated landscape since 2014, and the Conservation Design & Impact (CDI) team, who aim to support and increase biodiversity conservation impact across Fauna & Flora’s global portfolio and the communities and partners with whom we work. Working with both teams, you will help ensure that community-gathered chimpanzee datasets are utilised to their full potential to maximise impact of the project. You will focus on cleaning, analysing and presenting existing data, as well as ensuring that future data collection systems allow for updated analysis to be conducted quickly and easily. You will work closely with the Uganda Team to ensure that anything developed fits their current and future needs but learnings from your work will also be applied to other Fauna & Flora projects.

You will learn about the importance of impact monitoring to conservation projects, as well as specific technical skills in data analysis and presentation, in particular, geographic information system (GIS) skills. You will learn about chimpanzee conservation, particularly the issues facing the species in a subsistence farming-dominated landscape. Finally, you will learn how a busy international NGO works, and have the opportunity to build networks in the sector.

Note that this internship has been designed to create a professional development opportunity for people who are new to the conservation sector. Therefore, applicants should have less than two years paid or unpaid experience in the conservation sector (not including academic work).

ReachOut is a national mentoring and education charity, rooted in local communities. Working in under-resourced areas, we support young people to grow in character and confidence, sparking change in themselves and society. 

Our Youth Project Leaders are individuals who are passionate about working with young people, supporting them to reach and be confident in their potential. You may be an experienced youth worker, or have experience facilitating sessions or working with young people and leading volunteers.

Your Job Description 

As a Youth Project Leader, you will: 

• Deliver ReachOut sessions at the same partner school on the same day and time weekly during term time.

• Prepare your ReachOut sessions, following ReachOut’s curriculum and adapting the activities to the needs and interests of your assigned group.

• Facilitate engaging ReachOut sessions for the young people attending by ensuring that the voice of young people is listened to and impacts the way the sessions are planned and facilitated.

• Manage and support a group of volunteer mentors; supporting them to build strong rapport with their mentees and helping them to understand how to best adapt their mentoring approach to the young people they are working with.

• Support theyoung people in your session to reach and be confident in their potential by facilitating the creation of good mentee/mentor relationships and by running activities to build the ReachOut Character Strengths.

• Complete monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure the sessions are as impactful as possible and set up strategies with the help of your line manager to help each young person in your group reach their mentoring goal.

• Keep in touch with the parents/carers of the young people in your group about attendance, successes and challenges.

• Manage your project’s weekly admin by planning your sessions, maintaining your attendance and providing detailed project updates to your line manager.

• Attend ReachOut events and socials with their mentors. • Follow ReachOut’s policies/procedures to safeguard young people.

• Act and communicate in a professional manner, in line with ReachOut character strengths and culture.

• Attend all compulsory training.

On-farm biodiversity is key for providing ecosystem services within farmlands, as well as contributing to the resilience of biodiversity within the wider landscape. There is a growing body of research on how certain farmland management practices can support more on-farm biodiversity, and the beneficial impacts that this can provide to farmers (e.g., pollination). However, findings can vary greatly across studies, making it difficult to identify which agricultural practices can effectively increase biodiversity on farms. During this internship you will review the current knowledge, engage with in-country teams to capture their experiences, and develop management recommendations to help farmers to adopt practices which support more biodiversity on their farms, and so contributing to more ecologically resilient and biodiverse landscapes.

This internship will help you strengthen your skills in information synthesis and critical thinking, where you will work closely with agriculture-focused colleagues to develop guidance on what to consider when designing interventions for improving on-farm biodiversity. You’ll learn about the practicalities of implementing conservation projects in the field by interacting with agriculture staff from in-country teams and develop communication skills by engaging in meetings and developing and disseminating your findings (e.g. by developing recommendations, presenting results).

During this internship, you will have the opportunity to collaborate and work within the wider People & Nature team, by attending monthly meetings and discussions. Working within an international conservation organisation, you will learn from ongoing projects across the globe, to gain experience in biodiversity conservation within agricultural landscapes.

About the role

You will co-ordinate all aspects of the ‘Together Versus Arthritis’ project within the area, which involves recruiting volunteers, service promotion and building relationships in the community. You will be responsible for supporting volunteers to deliver services, as well as monitoring and evaluation, so that we can effectively demonstrate the impact the service is making.

The service offers peer-led self-management and physical activity courses both within communities and online. Courses are designed to support people to develop the confidence, knowledge, and skills to live well with their condition.

You will help us to develop and pilot services for young people transitioning from our Young People and families service to adult services.

You will help us to ensure our services reach diverse communities in the Northwest, by co-producing resources, building partnerships and testing ways of working.
