At Qube we are working in partnership to make a difference in Shropshire by providing volunteer brokerage and governance support to voluntary groups and organisations.

The role of the Volunteer and Infrastructure Officer is to support the Volunteer and Infrastructure Team Lead within the Voluntary and Community Support team providing high quality information, support and expertise in infrastructure support opportunities available to groups and organisations within Shropshire.

They will promote volunteering and encourage new volunteers to come forward for the benefit of Shropshire groups, organisations and communities. Provide governance advice, support, and guidance to local community/charitable groups and organisations, including support to staff/volunteer managers on volunteer recruitment and retention and develop working relationships with community led/based local groups to support future growth and sustainability.

They will also offer and make aware training opportunities and provision to support group and organisational compliance and safety.

This is currently a fixed term position until 31st March 2025 with extension possible dependent on further funding. 

Part time (18.5 hours per week) permanent post

Based in Vauxhall, London or Reading with hybrid working arrangements in place to accommodate both office and home working

Flexible working arrangements available within Monday to Friday,10am to 5pm.  Occasional evening and weekend working may be required. 

Salary in the range £12,373 to £15,122 per annum (£24,745 to £30,243 full time equivalent)

£1,650 per annum (£3,299 full time equivalent) location allowance payable if London based

Job Purpose 

• To provide a high-quality outreach support service that enables older adults with low level support needs to live independently within the community. 

• To a promote network services across the Boroughs to maximise their take-up. 

• To work closely with statutory and voluntary sector agencies to ensure appropriate services are accessed. 

• To ensure that service users have maximum choice and control over the planning and management of the service they receive, including initiating individual support plans and connecting them with culturally appropriate services.

• To signpost people to appropriate services as required through outreach sessions in the Hub, Satellite centres, GP practices and pharmacies.

The LSO Development department is looking for a knowledgeable and self-motivated individual to join our team as Trusts & Foundations Officer at an exciting time in the LSO’s history. Reporting to the Trusts & Foundations Manager, the role will primarily work within the Trusts and Foundations team to establish and maintain relationships with grant-giving bodies to help meet and grow income targets. These grants support a range of LSO activities, including projects within our pioneering learning and engagement programme, LSO Discovery; our exciting artistic season at the Barbican Centre; international tours; new commissions for the LSO and recordings produced by our record label LSO Live.
 

About you

Experience in fundraising from trusts, foundations and other grant-giving bodies is essential for this role, alongside strong communication skills, high attention to detail and a passion for creating concise and compelling written copy.  An interest in orchestral/classical music is desirable.

The Inclusion Officer will be responsible for the management, coordination, and delivery of the Trust’s social inclusion programmes across Northamptonshire, this includes the Premier League Kicks programme and anti-crime initiatives. The Premier League Kicks programme is a flagship targeted project, which uses the power of football and sports participation, alongside personal development activities, to help hard-to-reach young people in some of the most high-need areas. 

The Inclusion Officer will be integral to the successful delivery and growth of the Kicks Programme across Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and development of the Kicks programme, as well as other disability and inclusion projects that help to connect communities, leading a team to deliver these initiatives. In addition, the post holder will have frontline delivery responsibility, engaging with young people, leading on the delivery of youth engagement sessions, and the delivery of educational workshops in the local community. 

These will be based on themes including knife crime, equality, anti-social behaviour and mental health. You’ll be passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential. Duties Include:

Fundraising and project development:

· Lead the implementation of Bexley Mencap’s Fundraising Strategy; reviewing existing fundraising strategies, identifying opportunities for development and introducing innovative strategies to achieve fundraising goals. 

· Research and pursue new funding opportunities; including grants, legacies and social enterprise/earned income opportunities.

· Develop compelling cases for support, tailoring funding bids and applications accordingly

· Develop and maintain funding pipelines, providing reports to the Trustee Board

· Support and line manage part-time member of the team (may be required to support more staff if the role grows/adapts)

Job Title: Partnership Development Manager

Salary: £34,500.

Contract Type: Contract for 18 months; there is a strong possibility that currently anticipated growth in the team may see this role become permanent during the contract term. The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.   

When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.  

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.   

Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact in order to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.

JOB INFORMATION

We are seeking candidates who are after the next step in their fundraising journey. You will already have strong credentials and be ready to start your journey into Partnership Management which will include leading in delivering the new business plan and working closely with colleagues in the Partnership Development team and across the organisation to identify, create and secure new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships

• Making use of multiple tactics to secure meetings with prospects including, for example, cold calling, emailing, running events, event networking and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
• Ensuring that risk-screening and due diligence processes have been completed in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence policies. 
• Understanding each prospect’s strategic interests through meetings, discussions and research and defining the mutual advantage in partnership. 
• Developing and delivering engaging, relevant and impactful pitches and written proposals to prospective partners.

SSAFA’s Network & Community team, operating across the UK, are proud to announce this role as part of their strategic development plans.

This role joins our Fundraising Team to inspire members and donors to support Surfers Against Sewage and protect the ocean.

Leading our membership, donor development, and legacy programmes, you’ll help raise +£3mil in total each year as a team, to fund our ocean-saving campaigns. You’ll develop and deliver the membership programme, ensuring members feel valued as an integral part of the SAS community, and communicate the impact of their support.

Taking an insight-led approach, and working closely with our Senior IG & Supporter Engagement Officer (Acquisition), you’ll ensure new members and donors have an exceptional onboarding journey, as well as ongoing stewardship. You’ll also work together to plan and deliver annual appeals, collaborating and coordinating with teams across the charity to raise significant unrestricted income.

You’ll nurture relationships with our legacy pledgers, in-memory and mid-value donors, both reactively and at key moments throughout the year. And in the longer term, you’ll continue developing and marketing our legacy offering.

Greater Manchester Poverty Action (GMPA) is a recognised leader on poverty in the UK and exists to end poverty in Greater Manchester and beyond.

We deliver independent, evidence-based activities to address socio-economic disadvantage. These focus on maximising the financial resources available to households, amplifying the voices of people with lived experience of poverty, and working with our network to achieve meaningful change. This enables us to support organisations across sectors to effectively target resources and to achieve sustainable solutions to poverty through strategic, policy and programmatic responses.

With an extensive network of over 2,500 professionals and volunteers actively engaged in tackling poverty, we have a wealth of insights and understanding that allow us to deliver direct responses to poverty and provide valuable guidance and support to others.

GMPA is entering an exciting new period in our development, supporting strategic and policy responses to poverty at a regional and local level across several localities.

We are seeking a Policy and Research Officer to support the development and delivery of policy and research projects.

Title: Policy and Research Officer

Location: Combination of home working and working in our office (St Thomas Centre, Ardwick Green N, Manchester M12 6FZ) two days per week.

Contract: 5 days per week with an initial 18-month contract. It is highly likely this will be extended.

Probationary period: 4 months.

Employer: Greater Manchester Poverty Action Limited.

Purpose: To support the delivery of GMPA’s policy, research and advocacy work. 

Salary range: £26,000 to £29,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Paid annual leave entitlement: 25 days pro-rata (excluding bank holidays)

Line management responsibilities: None

Managed by: Senior Policy Officer.

Key responsibilities

· Supporting the development and delivery of policy and research projects.

· Drafting policy briefings and reports, newsletter articles and other written materials detailing GMPA’s policy positions and the key evidence base around poverty.

· Developing and maintaining knowledge of how local and regional public sector bodies, including health bodies, can address poverty.

· Helping to influence local approaches to poverty in Greater Manchester and other parts of the country. 

· Supporting the development and delivery of the Greater Manchester Poverty Monitor.

· Supporting the delivery of training and presenting GMPA’s work as required.

· Undertaking qualitative and quantitative research and drawing on existing research and literature to support GMPA’s policy and advocacy work.

· Working with colleagues to ensure GMPA’s work is informed by the voices, views and experiences of people with lived experience of poverty.

· Being a key and responsible member of GMPA’s team.

· Supporting other aspects of GMPA’s work as appropriate.

Person specification

Essential:

· Policy and research skills evidenced through a previous role and/or through a degree.

· The ability to develop and contribute to high quality policy and research projects.

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to use a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods to provide robust evidence in support of policy and advocacy priorities.

· A high level of confidence in interpreting and analysing quantitative data.

· Good written communication skills, with the ability to condense complex information for policy briefings, newsletter articles, web copy and other outputs.

· The ability to develop confident speaking and presentation skills.

· Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.

· A willingness to work outside of normal working hours as required.

· Excellent IT skills – Outlook, Word, Excel.

· The ability to work independently, with strong time management, organisational and planning skills.

· A good understanding of the causes and consequences of poverty in the UK.

· A commitment to the values of GMPA.

Desirable:

· Experience of poverty in your personal and/or professional life.

· Experience of delivering research projects involving both quantitative and qualitative data.
