Homeless Link Membership Services Team are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to cover a period of maternity leave.

Homeless Link is the national membership charity for frontline homelessness agencies and the wider housing with health, care and support sector in England. The Role 

JLGB are recruiting a Finance & Fundraising Coordinator who will play a vital role in helping the charity achieve its financial, fundraising and organisational objectives. Supporting the Director of Operations & Finance, the role is essential for the smooth running of the charity’s finances, collaborating with teams across JLGB, as well as volunteers and external suppliers. With some support from JLGB’s administration team, you will be undertaking all financial transactions including payment runs, bank and income reconciliations. Managing our donor database, ensuring that Gift Aid is collected regularly. The position will be suitable for someone who has experience in these areas and is flexible, reliable, highly numerate and interested in working to support young people to reach their potential. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Processing and reconciling various financial administrative tasks, including petty cash and incoming card payments (via stripe and other card processors) 

• Providing effective financial administrative support to all JLGB programmes and functions

StandOut Coach (based in prison)

As a StandOut Coach, you will be attached to one of the three London male prisons we partner with but can expect to work in all of them. You will work alongside a Lead Coach to deliver the StandOut Programme. The programme is delivered in two parts: first an intensive group course in prison, followed by ongoing support of participants whilst they wait for release, through one-to-one coaching and workshops.

You will be key to StandOut’s unique through-the-gate approach, supporting men as they prepare for release and working closely with the Community Team as they support people to find the stability they need to realise their potential, achieve their goals and rebuild their lives after prison. 

This role would be ideal for someone with a good understanding of the challenges faced by those caught up in the criminal justice system, gained either working in prison, through personal experience or by a range of work outside prison.

This role builds on work that we have been doing for decades to support and empower LGBT+ children and young people who have experienced sexual violence. Your work will enable LGBT+ young people to feel supported, heard, and empowered in the face of abuse and violence, and pave the way to a safer future for our community.

You will work directly with LGBT+ children and young people, offering them a safe space to talk and think through their options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related to experiences of sexual violence, including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety, and access to other services to enable young survivors to cope and recover. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care.

You will sit alongside our other advocates supporting LGBT+ people facing abuse or violence. You will work with mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT+ young survivors are represented in order to make change for our community at a local and national level. We are looking for a talented behaviour advisor who has a thorough understanding of reward-based training techniques, who will be working with pets in our care (be it on site, in foster, or post adoption). Working under the guidance of an Animal Behaviourist, you will be implementing and facilitating rehabilitation programmes practically, as well as advising and coaching centre teams who work with the pets in our care.

This role is on a six-month fixed term contract working two days per week (12.5 hours) on Thursdays and Fridays, 9am till 4.15pm. There will be occasions to meet the needs of the pets and people to sometimes travel to other sites, and to undertake duties outside of these hours. 

About you 

You will be a confident, adaptable and compassionate animal handler and trainer who enjoys working with a diverse range of people and pets. With excellent communication skills and an understanding of animal behaviour, you will be skilled at teaching and demonstrating training techniques and advising our teams and pet owners on some behaviour issues. In addition, you will thrive working collaboratively with others and have a desire to improve the experience of the pets in our care. 

 
Knowledge, skills, and experience   

• Demonstrable experience of: 

• Pet behaviour and training techniques, and evidence of success in understanding pet behaviour / training problems

• Carrying out behaviour and training programmes for dogs, across a variety of breeds and temperaments 

• Developing training programmes and delivering to owners / caregivers that are practical and realistic for a pet owner to understand and undertake independently 

• Full UK driving licence 

• The ability to demonstrate, understand and apply our Blue Cross values 

It would also be great if you had: 

• Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) standard of Animal Training Instructor (ATI) qualification or working towards

• Experience of working with multi species animals  

• Experience of promoting better understanding of pet behaviour through the media, or performing other public speaking

About the role 

As Community & Events Team Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for a range of community fundraisers and eventers, providing an exceptional supporter journey.  Your role will include supporting the team on projects such as TCS London Marathon, London Landmarks Half Marathon and our flagship event, Icebreaker, gathering valuable supporter insight to grow our portfolio. You will work closely with the Data Imports and Finance team to coordinate income, event administration and reporting to ensure accurate and up to date records. 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will: 

• Be organised and have a good eye for detail 

• Have a good communication style and be able to gather insight from supporters 

• Be able to manage multiple work streams with conflicting deadlines 

• Be confident when working with external suppliers and internal stakeholders 

You may have experience in; administration, coordinator roles, volunteer coordination, supporter care/service, assistant role

About the role
We are seeking a Partnership Manager experienced in winning, developing and managing funding relationships (trust and foundations, corporate and paid delivery partnerships). 
Reporting to the Director of Income Generation, HFTF’s Partnership Manager will be an integral part of the Fundraising team responsible for growing and managing our partnerships, driving the charity forward, increasing impact, securing increasing and sustainable funding and engaging increasingly wider and more diverse segments of society, in our work - equipping citizens across the UK with the tools they need to have effective and impactful conversations with their local politicians on climate change and nature.

Combining exceptional fundraising knowledge and an ability to think innovatively and strategically, this role will be essential to establishing new funding from trusts and foundations, corporate and paid delivery partnerships and stewarding these towards longer term support for our vision - that together, communities and politicians secure a healthy planet for all.

Terms and conditions
Hours: Full time (35 hours) with the option for flexible working.We’d be open to a part time role for the right candidate. The role may require some evening and weekend work.
Pay: £33,920 - £37,736 per annum, plus £3k London Weighting for staff who live in the qualifying postcode areas.
Accountable to: Director of Income Generation
