The Job

The Learning Networks Portfolio Manager will:

• Report to the Managing Director

• Be employed on a permanent contract

• Be based remote or hybrid, with regular travel to London

• Be paid a pro rata full-time equivalent salary of £45,000-50,000

The Role In Brief

This position plays a central role in the delivery of Koreo’s work; responsible for a portfolio of the company’s biggest and most established programmes. It will be a varied role and will require someone to lead project teams in the design and delivery of high quality national learning programmes, while also playing a key role in the development of Koreo as an organisation
better able to build a just and regenerative future.

1. Responsible for the successful delivery and development of a portfolio of national learning programmes and projects. This portfolio of work is primarily focused on cross-sector learning programmes that bring cohorts of people together around learning missions. Examples include Civic Futures and the London Engagement Collaborative
with the GLA.
2. Responsible for sustaining and growing the portfolio, and with it Koreo’s profile, network, and income. This might be focused on developing the existing programmes in the portfolio, or could include wider writing, public speaking, pitching and networking
which support the distribution of the work.
3. An internal leadership role in developing a just and inclusive culture in which a diverse team can do its best work. This includes line management of one Project Coordinator, development of organisational practice and process, and work with the team on culture and development.

Strategic Leadership:

● Experience of a role with responsibility for the leadership of a team or portfolio of projects.

● Experience of strategy development and implementation, either at a programmatic or an organisational level.

Programme Management & Delivery:

● Experience of leading the design and delivery of learning programmes in an equivalent environment. 

● Experience leading projects which required the effective management of a range of stakeholders through project and programme work. You will be able to demonstrate how you have engaged with those stakeholders to build their connection with and investment in the project, and how you managed that work. 

● Experience of designing and facilitating learning/collaboration/experimentation spaces for individuals and groups, either in an organisational or programmatic context. 

● Skills & Knowledge which enable you to design high quality programmes and learning spaces, to support individuals with their learning, and to facilitate group spaces. 

● A familiarity with subjects relevant to Koreo’s work is essential. Successful candidates will likely be interested in subjects like collective impact, new approaches to power, working in and with complex systems, organisational design and psychology, participatory futures, activism and organising, multi-disciplinary practice, and much more that we don’t know about yet.

● An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a range of stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written skills.

Operational Excellence:

● Experience working in a role which required excellent project planning, management & reporting. 

● Experience working in a role in which you were responsible for building and then delivering against project budgets.

● Experience working with a CRM to manage relationships and programmes of work. 

● An ability to organise and manage yourself, to work and deliver at pace to a high standard across a number of projects, to spot and solve problems as part of a proactive attitude.

● An ability to cope well with competing demands and changing environments, demonstrating flexibility and an ability to work in different settings and with different people.

Development & External Influencing:

● An understanding of the landscape of social change work, with a particular focus on UK non-profit and public sectors and the needs of people, organisations and networks in this space. 

● Experience of winning, and/or growing projects or programmes of work to deliver on a business development target. This may be through growing existing projects, writing proposals/tender responses, or by taking a new idea from concept to operational delivery. Experience of doing this in an equivalent context is desirable.

● An ability to influence externally, with a particular focus on the production of content (in the form of blogs, articles, reports, videos, infographics) that support campaigns and external influencing. 

People & Culture

● An ability to building positive relationships in a small, busy and ambitious team, leading and able to hold relationships with colleagues and our wider community.

● A commitment to your own personal development and learning, and an understanding of how that development will be supported by your work at Koreo.

It’s desirable, but not essential that the person has:

● An understanding of Justice, EDI, and anti-oppression and how to apply that understanding into organisational development.

● Experience of designing and delivering cross sector learning networks.

● Experience of client and account management in a consultancy context.

We are looking for a Legacy Marketing Manager to join our Fundraising team.

Title: Legacy Marketing Manager

Salary: £40,000 to £43,000 per annum

Key responsibilities

These include but are not limited to:

• Develop and manage our legacy fundraising, setting and achieving agreed targets to help us to grow our long-term legacy income.
• Plan, develop and implement high impact, audience-centric legacy marketing campaigns to attract new legacy pledgers, considerers and enquirers. This includes activity across a range of channels from social media, digital, telemarketing, direct mail and events.
• Develop and implement compelling supporter journeys to effectively steward potential legators.
• Ensure that all legacy marketing campaigns are managed efficiently and effectively.
• Track, report and benchmark results to inform decision making for future activity.
• Overall management of our annual legacy income; management of our legacy administration, including overseeing the external legacy admin support.
• Build and maintain sustainable, constructive relationships with colleagues and key external suppliers. Provide internal resources for learning about legacies, to aid awareness.
• Collaborate to ensure integrated planning for legacy marketing with the wider teams: Individual Giving, other fundraising teams, the register team, marketing and content along with other colleagues to identify sustainable ways to deliver our Fundraising strategy.

Essential attributes:

• Experience of creating and managing large scale, multi-channel, audience-centric and insight-led response-driving fundraising or marketing campaigns
• Demonstrable track record of achieving legacy fundraising success through integrated communications to individual supporters, with experience of effective supporter stewardship to drive loyalty
• A track record of developing and meeting targets within budget
• A working understanding of legacies and the legacy administration process and experience of working with solicitors and online will writing partners.
• Experience of producing financial analysis to improve lifetime value, including detailed income and expenditure budgets and reforecasts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and project management skills
• Confident use of Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, Excel and First Class.

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.   

When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.  

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.   

Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact in order to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.

JOB INFORMATION

We are seeking candidates who are after the next step in their fundraising journey. You will already have strong credentials and be ready to start your journey into Partnership Management which will include leading in delivering the new business plan and working closely with colleagues in the Partnership Development team and across the organisation to identify, create and secure new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships

• Making use of multiple tactics to secure meetings with prospects including, for example, cold calling, emailing, running events, event networking and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
• Ensuring that risk-screening and due diligence processes have been completed in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence policies. 
• Understanding each prospect’s strategic interests through meetings, discussions and research and defining the mutual advantage in partnership. 
• Developing and delivering engaging, relevant and impactful pitches and written proposals to prospective partners.

Room to Heal is a human rights charity and therapeutic community based in London. Our mission is to support people who have survived or witnessed torture and organised violence to rebuild their lives in exile, through an integrated programme of therapeutic and casework assistance. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team and lead our fundraising efforts. This is a key role in ensuring we have the resources to continue providing vital support to survivors of torture and human rights violations. Responsibilites:

Fundraising – General 

• To deliver a continuous fundraising operation to meet the short, medium and long-term revenue needs of the charity as determined by the CEO and Board of Trustees 
• Establish and maintain positive relationships across the organisation and an in-depth understanding of the charity’s needs and priorities to ensure your fundraising activity contributes positively

• Ensure robust and practical monitoring and evaluation plans are in place to demonstrate the impact of grants you manage and report effectively to funders 

Relationship Management 

• Provide excellent stewardship and supporter care to regular donors 
• Produce and deliver tailored engagement plans to deepen and grow CHN donor relationships

MARCOMMS/Fundraising – General

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced operations manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who will help strengthen the foundations of our organisation, as well as help us expand our growing network of partner organisations across the UK. 

As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. Building on what has already been done, you will work directly with the CEO to help build the operational structure of Big Green Heart, and support its day-to-day operations.

The Role 

The role of Shop Manager involves actively running our new shop in Hull and implementing processes and ways of working.

Job Purpose - Facilities Manager - Projects 

The role holder will report directly to the Head of Estates whilst working closely with the Facilities Manager and the wider team, as well as operational colleagues.

The role holder will be responsible for the delivery of specific ad hoc estates projects, whilst also providing support to the wider Estates team in the delivery of business-as-usual activity to ensure the development of an estate that delivers outstanding outcomes for the people we support, ensuring the portfolio is managed safely, cost effectively and in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

This role requires an individual with strong project management capability within an estate’s environment, with a demonstrable track record of delivery of projects on time, to Budget and to the requisite level of quality.

Reporting directly to the Head of Estates, the role holder will: 

• Lead the estates input in the expansion of the existing property footprint.
• Onboard new additions to the estate’s property portfolio efficiently and effectively.
• Work collaboratively with operational colleagues ensuring “best outcomes” are delivered for the people we support in the development and maintenance of the estate.
• Support the wider estates team in the delivery of business-as-usual activities.
• Be visible and on site to ensure the smooth running of projects and the timely resolution of issues. 

Dimensions

Whilst the role currently has no direct reports assigned, the level of project activity and the consequential resource requirements will determine any additional staffing needs. The nature of individual projects will determine this although it is anticipated that project spend will be circa £0.5m+ per annum.

Principal Accountabilities

Estates and Facilities Management 

• Responsibility: Act as the senior estates and facilities professional on project work assigned. 

• Project Plans: Ensure there is a clear and documented estates plan for each project assigned and lead the implementation of these plans to ensure best possible outcomes for the people we support. In the planning and delivery of projects, the role holder must ensure that due consideration is given to operational requirements. 

• Project Performance: Ensure a robust contract performance management framework is in place for each project.

• Business Cases: Prepare business cases, feasibility studies for consideration by the Head of Estates and onwards by the Executive/Director team. 

• Business as Usual Estates Activity: The role holder will be required to work alongside the Estates Manager and the wider estates team in the delivery of business-as-usual estates activity (including site visits, contract monitoring meetings, supervision of reactive repairs etc.), where project requirements mean the role holder has capacity to undertake this work. 

Financial Management

• Financial Performance: Manage project related budgets, ensuring projects are delivered to Budget, to the requisite quality and to time. 

• Procurement: Work closely with the Procurement team to source potential suppliers for services and ensure those services are sourced on a “Value for money” (VFM) basis, and in accordance with the terms of the Scheme of Reservation and Delegation. 

• Tenders: Working closely with the Procurement function of the Charity, take the estates lead in tender activity where assigned, ensuring that activity is undertaken in accordance with the Scheme of Reservation and Delegation.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Establish the primary local referral agencies and build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with them to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme is effective

Oversight of Spear Programme

• Manage the Spear Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development

Church Community

• The Spear Centre Manager is directly employed by Alive Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
• You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members and help the Spear Coach to establish a strong presence at the church to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme
• Ensure the Spear programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church; this may involve attending church events and speaking at services.

Site management and set-up

• Work with the Church to set up the training room and IT infrastructure for the new Spear Centre in advance of opening
