Stepping Stones exists to improve the lives of adults with learning disabilities. We are seeking an enthusiastic and agile manager who will be at the heart of the organisation and will lead a small team of qualified tutors and volunteers in continuing to provide high quality experiences for the people who attend. Stepping Stones is a community that loves to socialise and learn new skills together. Our current programme includes art, dance, drama and music, together with digital skills and cooking.

This role is responsible for strategic development with the guidance of the Board of Trustees, income generation, and the management of all aspects of service delivery. It is our intention to appoint a new post of Activity Co-ordinator to support the Charity Manager as budgets allow. You will play an active part in designing this role so that it enhances our delivery and increases capacity within the organisation.

Our experience during the pandemic and consequently, has shown us that being together in real life is an essential element of our offer to the people who attend Stepping Stones and so this post requires a physical presence preferably 3 days per week during the period when classes are running (30 weeks per year).  We are open in our approach to recruitment and are keen to support the right candidate to flourish. This means that we are happy to consider flexible working hours and an annualised hours contract if this supports your work life balance.

ABOUT YOU
You will build good working relationships with all stakeholders including the people who attend our classes, their network of support (including support workers, carers and family members), funders, partners and the local community. Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, you will be comfortable working with autonomy. You will be a strong team leader, proactive problem solver, and confident making decisions for the good of the organisation. Whilst the role demands strategic thinking and planning, it also requires you to be visible and accessible. You will sometimes contribute to activities when time allows, for example, in pilot phases of new classes

ABOUT THE CHARITY
Stepping Stones is a thriving, longstanding and highly valued community organisation. We have delivered activities for over 30 years and our weekly classes are an important part of the lives of people who attend.

Our main delivery is a timetable of up to 14 weekly classes from our base in a multipurpose community centre. We also have activities off site including gardening at a local allotment and music and art classes at a day centre and residential home. Each week over 100 people benefit from our activities.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individuals to join our fundraising team as a Supporter Engagement Officer. In this role, you will play a vital role in building and growing relationships with our individual donors and managing digital campaigns and challenge events to help the team raise as much funding as possible to support people experiencing homelessness across London.

About the role:

As the Supporter Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for the stewardship of new and existing donors to becoming regular Single Homeless Project supporters. • Developing and delivering engaging digital campaigns and content through our online portfolio of products and emergency appeals.
• Working with internal SHP departments to create new concepts for supporter engagement.
• Stewarding new and existing donors to become regular supporters of Single Homeless Project.

Please note the role will follow a hybrid working model, with two days working in our head office in Kings Cross and 3 days WFH.

About you: 

• Highly numerate and attentive to detail, with strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically. 
• Entrepreneurial, results-driven and able to work on own initiative and also as part of a team, meeting deadlines under pressure.
• Experience of working on digital campaigns and understanding of PPC advertising.
• Experience working with other internal departments to maximise collaboration and impact between the teams.

Reporting to the Senior Development Manager (Trusts & Foundations) you will apply for and manage grants whilst also managing the research of new funding opportunities for the team.

Lingen Davies Cancer Fund exists to enhance cancer services and improve lives in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales. Founded in 1979, with the aim of bringing cancer services to Shropshire for the first time, our work is now focused in three key areas: cancer prevention and early diagnosis, excellent treatment delivered locally, and living well with and beyond cancer.

Two of our Fundraising Team have recently departed for exciting new projects, and we have taken this opportunity to create some different posts within the team. We really value our relationships with businesses and major donors around the region, and we are very pleased to be recruiting to this role, which will build capacity and focus in this area.

Our Relationship Fundraiser will work closely with colleagues across the charity to deliver excellent supporter care and stewardship, building long term relationships for Lingen Davies Cancer Fund. The person we are seeking is an experienced fundraiser with the confidence yet sensitivity to build strong relationships with our donors and donor prospects. We already have a loyal support base and we are looking for someone to build on this goodwill, to help us to grow our income and generate new donors.

We need someone to secure ongoing support from trusts and grant-making bodies, and secure funding from new sources. You will have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn. You must also be able to work collaboratively internally and externally and have a positive, pro-active ‘can-do’ attitude.

Changing Faces are looking for a new business specialist to help grow corporate partnership income at Changing Faces. This role will be 90% focused on new business with a 10% account management split.

You will have an excellent network of corporate funders and a proven track record of successfully bidding, winning and managing corporate fundraising partnerships. The role will suit someone with excellent communication and relationship building skills along with plenty of creative ideas to engage potential partners and win pitches.

As Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will: 

• Identify, cultivate, and secure new corporate partnerships at five and six figure level
• Secure new corporate partnerships including corporate foundations, Charity of the Year, cause related marketing and strategic partnerships
• Be a senior brand ambassador for the charity, engaging and developing effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally
• Build a robust pipeline of partnerships opportunities

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Experience of working in a corporate partnerships/corporate social responsibility/marketing/sales environment
• Ability to win and deliver major charity & corporate partnerships (£50-100k+)
• Experience of writing compelling copy, pitches and campaigns to secure new partnerships

Refugee Council is seeking an experienced philanthropy specialist to develop and grow the Refugee Council’s Philanthropy relationships and programme and deliver an ambitious Philanthropy strategy.

Refugee Council is a leading charity supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives in safety here in the UK.  Providing practical, hands on support, their award winning services include welcoming refugees into local communities across the country, providing specialist children’s services – with a particular focus on refugee children who arrive here alone, helping people to navigate the asylum system, and supporting people to access housing and employment.  Evidence from services is then used to also inform the charity’s leading policy and influencing work, including campaigning for a fairer and kinder refugee protection system.  The charity works with more than 14,000 men, women and children every year.

As a result of growing need and increasing interest in Refugee Council’s work, the charity has ambitious plans to make a leap in impact, with investment in their Philanthropy Team to raise increased funds from key high value audiences.

This role will be a critical part of the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team and presents an exciting opportunity to grow Refugee Council’s established Philanthropy programme. The role will be responsible for delivering and creating bespoke development plans, supported by engaging cultivation and stewardship activities to secure increased funding from existing and new donors. It will also be a key point of contact for key Major Donors and high-profile supporters, patrons and ambassadors.

The position offers the opportunity to work alongside an engaged and well-connected Senior Management Team, supported by the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships and a highly regarded and experienced Philanthropy Consultant to make the charity’s ambitions a reality.

To succeed, candidates will have experience of running a Philanthropy/major giving programme, with extensive experience of managing their own pool of donors, as well as a track record of securing five and six figure donations from high net-worth individuals. You will have extensive knowledge of the Major Donor landscape and your fundraising skills will be matched by your strategic planning and leadership abilities.

Refugee Council will provide the most moving and diverse case for support. Cases that encompass innovative external affairs campaigns aimed at engaging policy makers and the public.

Refugee Council knows that step change takes time and planning, and they have put together a plan for growth that is ambitious but is also realistic and allows time for development and engagement. This plan also includes recruiting prospecting, stewardship, and communications expertise, so that growth is supported, planned and achievable.
