Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to: Service Manager

Location: Baca office, Cambridge, England with regular travel to locations where Baca’s services are delivered.

About Baca: Baca is dedicated to providing support and care to 16 to 18 year old unaccompanied asylum seeking children who are newly arrived in the country, helping them rebuild their strength, dignity, and hope for the future. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Education Coordinator to join our team and lead the delivery of our education program.

Overall Purpose: As the Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering Baca's education program. Your role will be crucial in enabling the young people we support to achieve a standard of English that allows them to enrol in local college courses and become empowered individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver the education program creatively to meet the diverse needs of young people.
• Support the achievement of outcomes in line with Baca’s Theory of Change, including improved physical and emotional wellbeing, increased engagement with education, employment, and training, social engagement, and personal safety.
• Review and develop the education program to ensure it meets the needs of young people and college course requirements.
• Liaise with colleges and education providers to support student enrolment and ongoing academic success.

The Role 
 
As Deputy Shop Manager at our new shop in Skipton, initially, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in the day to day running of the shop, recruiting volunteers, and making plans to ensure the shop is ready to open. You will then ensure the smooth running of the shop long-term. 

You will manage the day-to-day operation of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, including managing a team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures. You will lead by example and ensure that volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond. 

Specifically, you will: 

• Play an active part in running our shop in Skitpton, supporting the Shop Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.

• Provide cover for days off, holidays and sickness as required, with possible occasional travel to other shops to provide support if needed by the charity. 

• Support the Shop Manager to maximise the income and profit of the shop through active stock management, replenishment, and rotation. 

• Manage a team of well-trained volunteers in the absence of the Shop Manager and take every effort to create a positive retail environment. 

• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received). 

• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes.

The Role
As Supporter Acquisition Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in growing our individual giving programme. You'll lead on the recruitment of new supporters across a range of fundraising products and channels, both online and offline. You'll help shape and deliver multi-channel campaigns that drive income and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

• Develop and deliver a long-term supporter acquisition strategy aligned with organisational goals.

• Lead on acquisition budgeting, forecasting, and ROI modelling.

• Establish KPIs and report on campaign performance.

• Collaborate on integrated campaign planning across paid, owned, and earned media.

• Manage supplier tendering and contract negotiations.

Campaign Management

• Oversee creative development and production for acquisition campaigns.

• Work closely with the Content Producer to ensure compelling content.

• Monitor and optimise campaign performance with internal and external partners.

• Manage supplier relationships and ensure high-quality delivery.

• Train fundraising staff to represent The Charity effectively.

• Collaborate with the Data & Insight Manager to inform targeting and segmentation.

Collaboration & Innovation

• Build relationships with global fundraising colleagues.

• Contribute to innovation and product development.

• Support digital transformation and website optimisation.

• Work with the Relationships and Partnerships team to develop donor pathways.

About You
You'll bring significant experience in managing large-scale supporter or customer acquisition budgets, with a deep understanding of direct and digital fundraising principles. Your track record includes delivering integrated acquisition campaigns across diverse audiences, overseeing creative development, and managing supplier relationships. You're confident in end-to-end project management, from campaign setup to evaluation, and well-versed in data compliance and working within regulatory frameworks.

Ideally, you'll also have experience in innovation and product development, and an understanding of international development issues. Personally, you're a results-driven and empathetic leader, known for building strong relationships and communicating effectively. You're curious, analytical, and resilient, with a collaborative and proactive working style. You demonstrate cultural sensitivity, align with The Charity's values, and are willing to travel internationally and work occasional evenings when required.
