Tenancy Sustainment Officer 

A respected housing provider committed to delivering high-quality housing services and supporting residents to maintain safe, secure and sustainable tenancies. The Role

As the Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting vulnerable residents to sustain their tenancies through specialist welfare advice, income maximisation and tailored support. Managing your own case-load, you will work closely with internal teams and external agencies to identify barriers, develop support plans and deliver practical solutions that improve residents' financial well-being and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume case-load of vulnerable residents, delivering tailored tenancy sustainment and financial inclusion support.
• Complete holistic assessments, home visits, risk assessments and personalised support plans to help residents maintain independent living.
• Provide expert advice on Housing Benefit, Universal Credit, welfare benefits, Discretionary Housing Payments, Household Support Fund applications and income maximisation opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with housing teams, local authorities and external agencies, managing referrals and coordinating support for residents with complex needs.
• Maintain accurate case records, contribute to performance targets, deliver excellent customer service and support colleagues through training and knowledge sharing where required.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience within housing management, tenancy sustainment, welfare benefits or financial inclusion.
• Excellent working knowledge of Housing Benefit, Universal Credit and wider welfare benefit legislation.
• Proven experience supporting vulnerable residents, including individuals with complex needs, safeguarding concerns.
• Strong case management, communication and partnership-working skills, with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
• A proactive, empathetic and solution-focused approach, with a genuine passion for improving resident outcomes and sustaining tenancies.

About the role

Reporting in to the Individual Giving Lead, the Senior Individual Giving Acquisition Officer will drive the strategy and execution of Christian Aid’s individual giving acquisition efforts, ensuring high impact campaigns like Christian Aid Week, Christmas and Emergency Appeals effectively attract new supporters. Through compelling messaging and innovative approaches, foster long-term, sustainable relationships,
optimising channels, products, and engagement strategies to maximise supporter growth.

The post-holder will lead on Regular Giving acquisition recruitment across multiple channels to grow lifetime giving and increasing the Christian Aid supporter base. They will be leading a team of two Individual Giving Acquisition Officers and collaborating with senior leadership, manage budgets, forecast the performance of campaigns and ensure cost-effective delivery, all while championing the ‘Believe in the Possible’ proposition to inspire and engage the next generation of supporters.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Senior Individual Giving Acquisition Officer includes:

• Lead the development and execution of the Individual Giving acquisition strategy, leveraging on key appeals like Christian Aid Week and Christmas to recruit and engage new supporters.

• Experience of using CRM segmentation, audience insights, and automated marketing tools to deliver personalised, high-volume communications that treat mass supporters as individuals. 
• Expertise in mapping, testing, and optimising end-to-end supporter journeys, removing operational friction, and building retention 
• Strong track record of driving collaboration across wider departmental functions (such as Brand, Communication and Digital) to deliver cohesive, integrated public-facing acquisition campaigns.
• Experience managing income and expenditure budgets, setting performance metrics/OKRs, and executing detailed financial reforecasting to demonstrate clear return on investment (ROI).

Role Purpose 

The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic, operational and values-led leadership for Home-Start Norfolk, ensuring the charity delivers its mission, supports its families effectively and remains financially sustainable. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, the CEO will lead the organisation’s strategy, people, services, partnerships, governance, income generation and volunteer strategy, while acting as an ambassador for the charity and its work. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership 

• Lead the development and delivery of the charity’s strategic plan in partnership with the Board of Trustees. 

• Translate the charity’s vision, mission and values into clear priorities, measurable objectives and effective operational plans. 

• Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, collaboration and improved impact. 

• Ensure services and activities remain responsive to beneficiary needs and changing external circumstances. 

Governance, Compliance and Risk 

• Support the Board of Trustees to fulfil its governance responsibilities through clear reporting, sound advice and timely information. 

• Ensure the charity complies with charity law, company law where applicable, employment law, fundraising regulation, data protection requirements, safeguarding duties and all relevant regulatory obligations. 

• Maintain a robust approach to risk management, internal controls, policies and procedures. 

• Promote transparency, accountability and ethical decision-making across the organisation. 

Financial Leadership and Income Generation 

• Provide overall leadership for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and long-term sustainability. 

• Work with trustees and senior colleagues to ensure resources are used effectively and in line with charitable objectives. 

• Lead the development of a diverse and resilient income strategy, including grants, trusts and foundations, individual giving, corporate partnerships, contracts and other appropriate income streams. 

• Maintain strong relationships with funders, commissioners, donors and supporters, ensuring excellent stewardship and reporting. 

Service Delivery, Quality and Impact 

• Ensure the charity delivers high-quality, safe and effective services that achieve positive outcomes for families. 

• Embed continuous improvement, evidence-based practice and meaningful beneficiary involvement. 

• Oversee monitoring, evaluation and impact reporting to demonstrate the value and effectiveness of the charity’s work. 

• Champion safeguarding, inclusion, accessibility and dignity in all areas of service delivery. 

• Comply with Home-Start UK’s Quality Audit Policies and Process, to ensure the charity maintains a high standard of quality assurance. 

People, Culture and Organisational Development 

• Lead, support and develop the senior leadership team and staff, creating a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture. 

• Ensure the charity has the right structures, systems, skills and capacity to deliver its strategy. 

• Promote wellbeing, learning, accountability and collaboration across the organisation. 

• Ensure effective HR, performance management and recruitment practices are in place. 

Volunteer Leadership 

• Provide strategic leadership for the development and delivery of the charity’s volunteer strategy, ensuring it supports organisational priorities and beneficiary needs. 

• Oversee effective volunteer recruitment, induction, training, supervision, support, retention and recognition. 

• Ensure volunteers are valued, well-supported, appropriately deployed and able to contribute safely and confidently to the charity’s work. 

• Develop a sustainable volunteer workforce plan, identifying current and future volunteer capacity, skills and support requirements. 

• Promote a positive volunteering culture that reflects the charity’s values and strengthens engagement, inclusion and community connection. 

External Relations, Partnerships and Advocacy 

• Act as the public face and senior ambassador for the charity, representing it with credibility and confidence. 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with beneficiaries, partners, funders, commissioners, local communities, statutory bodies and sector networks. 

• Raise the charity’s profile and influence through effective communications, thought leadership and advocacy. 

• Promote collaboration and partnership working to extend reach, improve outcomes and strengthen sustainability. 

About the role:

A safe, well maintained room can be the foundation someone needs to begin rebuilding their life. As a Maintenance Operative, you’ll make sure our supported accommodation across London provides the safe, dignified and welcoming environment every client deserves.

This is a hands on, multi skilled maintenance role focused on minor repairs and property improvements rather than specialist or technically qualified trade work. Travelling between different services across London, you’ll complete jobs such as painting and decorating, repairing walls and fixtures, basic carpentry, minor plumbing, tiling and preparing empty rooms so they can be offered safely and quickly to someone who needs a home.

You’ll plan and manage a varied workload, respond to urgent health and safety concerns and identify problems before they become more serious. You’ll also inspect rooms and communal areas, record completed work clearly, arrange materials and flag any repairs that need to be passed to a qualified contractor. At times, you may check completed contractor work and provide feedback where standards have not been met.

Our accommodation is home to people who have experienced homelessness, mental ill health and other forms of multiple disadvantage. Some services are larger, hostel-style buildings, while others are smaller residential properties. You’ll often be working in occupied environments and may meet clients while completing repairs, so you’ll need to be comfortable working respectfully around people who may be distressed or experiencing a difficult time. You won’t be expected to provide support or manage challenging situations alone, and service colleagues will be available to help.

You’ll join a growing Maintenance Team that shares knowledge, works collaboratively and takes pride in getting the details right. With plenty of variety and autonomy, this is an opportunity to develop your practical skills while seeing the direct difference your work makes to the buildings we manage and the people who call them home.

• You have practical experience completing minor repairs, including painting and decorating, basic plumbing, carpentry and tiling.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Chef to help run our busy onsite catering service. You will prepare and serve safe, nutritious meals, maintain high professional and food-safety standards, and help organise the day-to-day work of the kitchen.

A central part of the role is supporting others. You will provide practical instruction and constructive feedback to catering trainees, coordinate volunteers and corporate groups, and create a calm, welcoming environment in which people can learn and contribute.

This is an opportunity to combine professional cookery with clear social impact. You will see the difference your work makes each day, both through the meals provided and the progress of the people you support.

The role also offers regular working hours of 7.30am to 2.30pm, 35 hours per week, allowing you to work in a purposeful professional kitchen while usually finishing by mid-afternoon.

We are looking for someone with experience in a professional kitchen, a relevant Level 3 qualification and strong knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, temperature control and safe working practices. You will be organised, dependable and able to meet fixed service deadlines, while remaining patient and respectful when supporting people with different levels of experience, confidence and support needs.

Disrepair Surveyor

The Disrepair Surveyor will provide specialist technical and surveying support across Westminster City Council’s housing stock, with a primary focus on housing disrepair, responsive repairs, building defects, damp and mould, leaks and insurance claims. The role will ensure defects are accurately diagnosed, works are properly specified and cases are resolved within legal and operational timescales, minimising risk and improving outcomes for residents.

The postholder will carry out pre- and post-inspections, investigate building defects and produce technical specifications and CPR35-compliant reports where required. They will manage disrepair cases through to completion, working closely with legal teams, residents and contractors to progress Schedules of Works, Court/Tomlin Orders and remedial works within agreed deadlines.

A key part of the role will be managing damp, condensation, leaks and water ingress, ensuring root causes are identified and appropriate remedial works are completed. The postholder will also identify recurring defects and investment requirements to inform planned and preventative maintenance programmes.

The role will include repairs contract and contractor management, including monitoring WIP, quality and performance, assessing variations, approving expenditure within delegated limits, managing follow-on works and ensuring contractors meet contractual and technical standards.

The postholder will work directly with residents and internal stakeholders, managing complaints, arranging inspections, providing updates and ensuring repairs are fully resolved. They will also support insurance claims by identifying insured works and providing technical information to the insurance and legal teams.

The role requires strong knowledge of housing disrepair, building defects, repairs surveying, contractor management and relevant housing legislation, alongside an understanding of HHSRS, the Housing Disrepair Protocol, Landlord & Tenant legislation, CDM and health & safety requirements.

Core responsibilities

• Manage housing disrepair cases from inspection through to resolution.

• Conduct pre/post inspections, defect diagnosis and technical reporting.

• Produce specifications and CPR35-compliant reports where required.
