We're looking for a confident, enthusiastic individual who can help us to get more people involved in shaping Lancashire Mind.

Lancashire Mind is a local charity working to prevent poor mental health. We support people experiencing common mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression. We work with children and adults, offering universal services to help people improve their mental wellbeing, along with targeted services for people and communities at increased risk of experiencing poor mental health or facing mental health inequalities. We’re working towards a Lancashire where everyone can have the best mental health and wellbeing possible.

We have a responsibility to engage the communities we serve, to make sure we know and understand them. It's vital we do this to identify need and understand barriers and to design services alongside people. We do this well on an individual service level, with many of our projects designed with the people who use them but we need to improve how we involve people with lived experience in organisation-wide development plans and key decision making.

To help us work towards our plans for embedding participation, we're looking for someone to join our Engagement and Inclusion Team to work with the communities we aim to serve, with a focus on those who are underrepresented within Lancashire Mind services. The role has been designed to ensure that the experiences, perspectives and ideas of local people are being listened to and acted upon.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within communities and knowledge of the barriers that people face to achieving mental wellbeing and accessing services. You'll be confident, creative and able to work autonomously in the community, where you'll communicate with a wide range of people and quickly build rapport.

The focus of the role will be to ensure that more people with lived experience of poor mental health know who Lancashire Mind are, what we do and how they can influence our work. You'll work with the Community Engagement Projects Lead to create a range of opportunities for people to participate, including establishing formal structures, for example a lived experience panel and youth advisory group, which you'll design with the people who want to get involved. You'll work with colleagues across all teams to ensure opportunities to influence Lancashire Mind's work are promoted to everyone who uses our services.

We have launched prizes that include improving outcomes for Nepalese farmers, improving access to energy for refugees and the £10m Longitude Prize for antimicrobial resistance. Some of our current prizes include the EU Social Innovation Competition, the Toyota Mobility Unlimited Challenge and prizes aimed at using tech to reduce social isolation, improving access to justice and giving people control over their financial data in order to access innovative products tailored to them.

Job purpose

We are looking for a Programme Coordinator to support all aspects in the delivery of Challenge Works programmes. An enthusiastic team player with a knack for problem solving. Someone who is able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, moving effortlessly from day-to-day management to supporting the team on planning and strategy. The ideal candidate will have some programme assistant experience, including experience of developing, maintaining and revising systems, budget and financial monitoring, relationship management, communications and management of social media channels.

The Role

Programme Coordination

• Work closely with Programme Managers to enable smooth day-to-day programme execution.
• Monitoring of milestones, evaluation and finance to keep check of project budgets and deadlines. Flagging action points to the Programme Manager when necessary.
• Develop, maintain and revise (as necessary) systems that will underpin the delivery of the prizes.
• Carry out procurement activities end-to-end, including development of contracts, legal documents and CRM
• Development of key documents relating to the delivery of the prizes.

The Head of Scotland and Northern Ireland is responsible for leading our vision to end the need for food banks in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Scotland currently leads the way in having a rights-based, progressive agenda to ending the need for food banks, but there is much to do to ensure political intentions become a reality. This role directs Trussell Trust’s policy and public affairs work in Scotland and Northern Ireland, leads our Scotland and Northern Ireland department as they support our network of food banks and works strategically with key partners to tackle the underlying reasons why people need to come to food banks.

The Role

Are you passionate about working with communities across Greater London, helping to reduce the harmful impact gambling can have on individuals and families? 

Do you want to make a difference by raising awareness of gambling-related harms within community groups across Greater London, helping to build confidence in talking openly about gambling and the support available from our service?

If so, one of the key priorities of GamCare London is to reach out to individuals, families, and communities to make it easier to talk about gambling and gambling related harms. This is done by working across the area to engage with underserved communities, ensuring everyone can access information and support.

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and those who care about them. We’re looking for a bold and caring person to lead and develop Lancashire Mind’s Wellbeing Coaching service and mobilise a pilot of therapeutic services; a new service for Lancashire Mind.

You will be a mental health practitioner with experience of delivering therapeutic services and understand the different types of therapy and support clients need. To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication skills, project management and line management experience.

The current postholder is going on maternity leave so we are looking for someone who is able to step into the role and hit the ground running. You will be motivated, flexible and adaptable.

Along with managing the rollout of Lancashire Mind’s therapeutic services, you will manage several coaching focussed projects. As such you will lead on partner and funder liaison, promotion, quality assurance, monitoring and reporting. You will work with a range of voluntary and community organisations and will identify and develop new opportunities for services.

Do you wish to be part of a growing and dynamic Fundraising team and support our Farming community? RABI, the leading UK farming charity, are seeking a fundraiser with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in generating income from trusts and foundations.

You must be a great communicator with experience in prospect research, writing funding proposals and developing relationships with trust representatives. This is an exciting time to join RABI as we develop a strategy aimed at raising seven-figure sums in 3-4 years to support the farming community.

As part of a growing and dynamic Fundraising team, your main duties will be to research trust and foundations, create and send applications and steward relationship with current and future charitable trusts. As part of the team, you will also be involved in generating funds across various other income streams.

Key responsibilities:

• Research and identify charitable trusts which may provide future financial support to RABI whilst maximising the potential for giving from trusts with which the Charity already has a relationship.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key trust representatives.
• Prepare, submit and monitor applications to charitable trusts including the maintenance of records of applications, grant receipts and successful/failed submissions. Ensure Trusts are thanked for donations in timely fashion.
• Updating the CRM system to ensure activities, communications, donations and other important details are accurately recorded and maintained.
• Compile statistical and background research to support the development of new and existing relationships with Charitable trusts.
• Monitor trust income for finance purposes, ensuring all donations or grants are coded appropriately, including any restrictions upon the use of the income.

The Data Analyst: Geo-Spatial position will play a key role in the implementation of a new digital Information Management System (IMS) for the organisation’s monitoring and evaluation data. The system is in place and is in the process of being refined by a consultant. The new post-holder will have a handover with the consultant in order to take on the management of the IMS.

Hours: This role is available as both a full time and part time role, but the candidate must be available for at least 3 days a week, with the expectation of flexibility in emergencies. About the Team

This role is part of the Communications, Policy, and Campaigns (CPC) team, which drives Shelter's ground-breaking campaigning efforts.

The CPC team leads initiatives advocating for social housing, renters' rights, and ending the housing emergency.

As our Assistant Director Activism & Advocacy, you'll work alongside other Assistant Directors, contributing to a collaborative, non-hierarchical decision-making environment.

About the Role

As Assistant Director Activism & Advocacy, you will provide strategic direction to the heads of Digital campaigning, Community Organising, Policy, Research, and Public Affairs teams.

You'll support the development of high-profile campaigns and drive continual improvement to achieve Shelter's strategic goals.

This role involves building strong relationships across Shelter, promoting collaboration, and acting as a spokesperson when required.

You'll need excellent political instincts, campaign experience, and the ability to oversee the production of high-quality policy and research.

About You

We're seeking candidates with experience in matrix management environments, senior leadership skills in project/change management, and a track record of impactful campaigning, policy, research, or public affairs activities.

You should demonstrate the Shelter Behaviours, including collaboration, prioritising diversity, enabling decision-making, creating change, openness to risk, and learning from experiences.

The responsibilities include: 

• Undertaking project management, including coordinating the team
• Tracking, monitoring and evaluating engagement with our inclusion campaigns via internal systems including Salesforce and Power BI
• Supporting the team with primary research, literature reviews of secondary sources and analysis of numerical data
• Developing content such as toolkits, factsheets, blogs, slide decks, case studies and other knowledge-based content to support businesses to engage with and implement campaign asks
• Managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Managing the Employment and Skills Twitter channels, posting content and driving engagement
• Using your own initiative to anticipate and vary the effort needed to meet internal and external deadlines
• Supporting on all aspects of delivering events, including occasional presenting

The successful candidate must be willing to undertake some travel within the UK, up to once a month.
