You should have Knowledge of Housing Law in relation to housing management and understand Welfare Benefits, especially Housing Benefit and the current climate of how supported housing is funded via Housing Benefit and the scrutiny around evidence of the support offer.
You will be the main lead for housing management in your patch. Experience of managing income recovery, neighbour nuisance/conflict and estate management is essential, ideally this has been within a supported housing context.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Income Recovery
- Monitoring of all Nacro rent accounts both current and former arrears and credit accounts in patch.
- Taking direct action where arrears are accruing in line with Nacro’s Income Collection and Debt Management Policy and liaising with Support or Housing Management Worker when their support is needed.
- Engaging with HB to ensure correct levels of HB are in payment for the right dates and at the correct level, liaising with Nacro Welfare Benefit Advisor for any complex cases.
Legal Duties
- Preparing documentation, including notices, witness statements and court documents for any enforcement or to end a tenancy.
- Representing Nacro at court.
Income recovery you will be responsible for recovery of accommodation charges from beginning to the end of the process.
Tenancy Support
- You will ensure the Association’s conditions of tenancy and licences are enforced.
- You will provide training and induction support to new starters, so they understand their role around housing management and tenancy creation including dual visits to provide additional training where issues are highlighted, or new staff need it.
- Supporting and advising on less complex anti-social behaviour to promote prevention and early intervention, and the correct recording and monitoring of cases.
Estate Management/Property Standards
- Though the Occupancy Sustainment Programme (or similar) deliver training to local teams’ duties on property standards including documentation and recording in systems, to include reporting a repair, completing monthly fire and health and safety checks and support they need to provide around gas compliance.
Support the team through training to help workers know how to access our policies and procedures around property standards including knowing how to report and escalate issues.
A full driving license and access to a car for business use is essential for this role.
DBS check will be required for this role.

About the team
The outbound Supporter Services team is based in Sheffield, this role is part of our Income Generation directorate within the Individual Giving team and works in collaboration with our Services teams based in Sheffield. The Supporter Services team manage outbound calling activity which underpins the income raised by the Individual Giving team.
The team provides high quality services for new and existing Shelter supports helping to promote Shelter’s work, raise awareness of house and homelessness and enhance the organisation’s ability to retain and recruit supporters.
About the role
You will report into the Resource & Support Manager and develop the tele-fundraising team through active coaching, guidance and as an escalation point. You will be responsible for developing the direction of and delivering the outbound calling programme which includes anniversary and welcome calling to our supporter and leading in the testing and development of campaigns.
You’ll also be responsible for management of our supporter services outbound calling team and acting as an escalation point for any complaints, as well as being the training and development lead for tele-fundraisers supporting them to deliver high quality calls and build workplace skills for the future.

To be a successful in the role you will need to have in depth experience of working in a customer service setting in a supervisory capacity where you’ve supported colleagues in career development. Robertson Bell are partnering with this well-known nonprofit organisation whilst they recruit for a new Accounts Payable Manager. Reporting into the Head of Operational Finance you will have three direct reports and a wider team of 25.
Duties for this role include:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments, adhering to the board's approval matrix for delegated authorities.
- Supervise the department's data entry process to validate invoices, match them with purchase orders, and ensure accurate coding for authorisation.
- Oversee the accurate and timely setup of new suppliers, following necessary controls and procedures.
- Manage expense payments, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
- Supervise all cash processes, including petty cash and payment runs.
- Maintain the ledger, resolving outstanding invoices and supplier issues prior to each payment run.
- Improve team efficiency by measuring KPIs and implementing process enhancements.
- Ensure objectives for the team are aligned with organisational goals and develop SLAs for direct reports, conduct regular performance reviews, offer necessary coaching, and regular development sessions.
- Provide internal and external guidance on accounts payable matters, collaborating with systems, accounting teams, and other departments to automate processes and support change initiatives.
Based at the organisations head office in South London this Accounts Payable Manager will be required to work in the office twice a week. This permanent position will best suit an individual who has already run an effective accounts payable function of a significant size.

About the Team
This interim role reports to the Director of Communications, Policy and Campaigns (CPC), alongside other Assistant Directors.
The CPC team drives Shelter's campaigns for social housing and renters' rights, supporting our services and income generation efforts.
You'll manage heads of important content and engagement teams, driving strategic direction and collaboration across functions.

As Assistant Director Communications and Content, you'll lead Shelter's communication efforts, ensuring impact, reach and a coherent organisational voice.
You'll oversee media teams, drive cross-channel campaigns, and develop ambitious communication strategies. With your experience in matrix management and project/change management, you'll guide teams to achieve our strategic goals amidst organisational change.
