About the role:

As the Assessment Design and Outcomes Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in preparing, producing, and publishing assessment materials. Collaborating closely with the Deputy Head of Assessment Design and Outcomes (DHADO) and the Head of Assessment Design and Outcomes (HADO), you'll ensure all assessments meet the highest quality and brand standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance
  • Work across portfolios as the quality lead, proofreading and ensuring consistency across projects.
  • Assist with the transition to a new assessment platform, ensuring migrated content is correct.
  • Perform general quality checks of exam papers and question banks.
• Coordination / Organisation
  • Assist the team in coordinating their work schedule by implementing new tools, programs and processes.
  • Remind team members of upcoming deadlines and reallocate tasks to meet these as necessary.
• Panel Work
  • Participate in awarding and paper evaluation panel meetings
  • Prepare and distribute agendas to panel members.
  • Take notes, track actions and make real-time amendments during panel meetings.

Skills / experience required:

• Background in higher education exams or assessments, or experience in an awarding body in a similar role.
• Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure and work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent administrative, organisational, and time management skills.
• Experience in writing, proofreading, and editing content for diverse audiences.
• Strong proficiency in MS SharePoint, OneDrive, and PowerPoint/Excel/Word.

Senior Finance Manager | £60,000 - £64,600 | Permanent | Fully Remote / Home Based

This role will provide high quality financial information and analysis to senior managers and external stakeholders supporting decision-making. This is a highly commercial role, which is key in ensuring service quality is maximised, and financial performance targets are achieved. The Senior Finance Manager will lead a team of 4 and will suit someone happy to work fully remotely whilst developing excellent relationships across a large, multi-location organisation.

Main Duties:

• Budgeting and Cost Control - Lead divisional budget setting and forecasting process
• Coordinate monthly key variance summary in financial performance and KPIs for senior management
• Interpret and present complex financial information to non-finance managers, supporting decision-making and improvements to budget and forecast performance
• Financial Reporting - Maintain robust financial controls across the division and coordinate the audit process with the financial reporting team. Preparation of year end accounts, liaising with auditors

Pathway specialist - Property (Tutor)

Do you have a conveyancing legal background with an interest in Tutoring students?

We have a permanent opportunity for a conveyancing legal professional to join a Law School on a permanent basis, for 2-3 days a week (across Mon - Thurs). This role is fully remote as learners are online, but there would be a requirement to attend in-person meetings in Bedford, up to 6 times per year.

Key duties:

• Manage caseload of learners: onboard, assess skills, and create development plans.
• Deliver group and 1:1 teaching sessions at all levels in designated areas of specialism via webinar, checking and supporting learning and the practical application of skills
• Assessing learners' formative work according to mark schemes, providing detailed feedback on all areas of strength and identifying areas for development
• Supporting learners by conference call, email or online forum
• Ensure learner safety and well-being, report any concerns.
• Monitor learner engagement and progress, raise concerns as needed.
• Conduct progress reviews, set objectives, and adapt plans accordingly.
• Assist learners with assessments and provide additional support when necessary.
• Provide feedback on learner experience and contribute to quality improvement.
