ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Senior Income Generation Manager, you will be instrumental in spearheading income generation initiatives to achieve our Business Plan objectives. About this role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role plays an important part in supporting our Finance Team in delivery of SIB’s new strategy and focus.
Key responsibilities
- To ensure all bank mandate updates and KYC requests are dealt with efficiently and records accurately maintained.
- To be responsible for ensuring that, by month end, all bank reconciliations are completed for all entities, required for Management accountants to run loan and grant reports.

Join Dementia UK as a Governance Officer, where you will provide comprehensive, efficient, and high-quality administrative support for risk, compliance, and governance matters.
As part of the Governance, Compliance and Risk team, you will help ensure a robust governance framework is in place across the Charity. We are looking for a development manager with a range of skills and experiences to support other mining charities develop a sustainable future. You will have a background in partnership working and developing funding opportunities, as well as a good understanding of charity governance.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in community and / or business development with a good knowledge of the charity sector.
As Development Manager, you will:
- Support mining charities to develop business plans and budgeting and help them to identify funding opportunities and develop funding proposals.
- Provide secretariat services to mining related regional grant making charities.
- Contribute to the development of and promote the organisations support offer for other mining charities, seeking new methods of supporting local trustees.
- Support the recruitment and training of local trustees and officers, encouraging good governance
- Develop local partnership working with other voluntary sector organisations, tiers of local government and local communities.
- Ensure the organisation interests and responsibilities in partner charities are retained and fulfilled.
- Represent the organisation with external parties, including, welfare charities, councils and local authorities as required
The essential qualities, skills and experience you will need to apply for this role:
- Experience of community development and / or business development and an understanding of business planning and budgets
- Experience of identifying and applying for funding on a national, regional, or local level.
- Proven experience of working in the charity sector with a good understanding of governance requirements and the challenges facing the sector.
- Proven experience in building confidence and a positive reputation with stakeholders.
- Ability to be self-motivated, with good personal organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to resolve problems in a logical, proactive, practical and positive manner
- Ability to take initiative with a practical, ‘hands on’ approach to work
- A valid driving licence and own transport with the flexibility for some travel

Key responsibilities:
Operations:
- Plan, lead and manage the operational functions of The Childhood Trust, ensuring alignment with the Trust’s mission, strategic goals and growth plan.
- Work with the CEO and the leadership team to develop and implement strategies and ways of working to achieve the Trust’s objectives.
Human Resources and People Development
- Lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s people strategy[LR1] [NM2] .
- Oversee the Human Resources function, including recruitment, retention, performance evaluation, employee learning and development.
- Foster a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and collaboration, nurturing a positive and supportive working environment.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure the Trust operates in full compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, including ensuring all staff have necessary training and DBS check requirements
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Maintain the risk register.
- Maintain strong governance and adherence to best practices in charity management
Governance and Reporting
- Support the HR, Finance, Programmes and Fundraising teams, contributing to their work as required.
- Produce an annual operational plan and monitor weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress against the plan.
- Develop and produce monthly management reports for the CEO
- Produce quarterly operational reports for board meetings.
IT and Office
- Coordinate IT support services, including m[HR5] anaging the setup of new starters on various TCT IT and digital platforms and channels.
- Lead on the office move, set up and management
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Senior-level experience, ideally within the charity sector, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
- Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Experience in translating strategic vision into measurable outcomes and driving results.
- Strong commitment to employee development and growth opportunities.
- Experience managing Human Resources and IT functions.
- Demonstratable understanding of the charity sector

You’ll be a strategic, passionate person with a big heart for the older generations and a desire to mobilise churches and communities in coming alongside them. You’ll be a friendly, confident individual with good communication and organisational skills who is looking for a part time flexible role.
