Community Voices Manager

Contract: 12 Months Fixed term contract, Maternity cover, full time 35 hours per week

Location: The role can be based in London, UK, or one of the following WaterAid Country Programmes: Nigeria, South Africa, Nepal, Malawi, Madagascar, Uganda, Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Rwanda (subject to right-to-work eligibility in the respective countries).

For the UK Location: we offer hybrid working: A minimum of 40% of working time is spent face-to-face, in a WaterAid office. For UK-based staff, WaterAid is located at Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base.

About the Team:
Community Voices is WaterAid's unique global communications team of creative storytellers. They work closely with communities to empower them to tell their own stories with dignity, driven by a commitment to ethical and authentic representation. By spending time with communities, often witnessing the change brought on by access to water, sanitation and hygiene over a period of years, the Community Voices team have unique insight into the transformative impact of WaterAid's work and into the lives of those whose stories they are representing.

The team bring their own local cultural context, creativity and technical expertise into each project, using these skills to uncover new and different ways to bring these stories to life for our donors, supporters and stakeholders.

About the Role:
As our creative and strategic Community Voices Manager, you will manage WaterAid's Community Voices global communications programme, working with fundraising, communications, policy and programme teams across WaterAid's federation to provide regular storytelling for a variety of multi-million pound grants, contracts, appeals and advocacy initiatives.
In this role, you will drive the team's mission while supporting the individuals within the team to excel creatively and technically.

You'll also: 

• Manage and prioritise content requests from across the WaterAid federation and steer the development of creative briefs which respond to these requests
• Ensure that the team has a shared vision, clear objectives and balanced workloads to deliver impactful and efficient work
• Manage relationships with global stakeholders, both internally and externally, representing the team and collaborating on and contributing to creative communications projects
• Support the implementation of WaterAid's Representation in Communications Policy, championing and enabling content which is respectful, accurate and authentic and which puts the communities that we work with first.

About You:

• Proven experience leading, managing and motivating a team, particularly in global/remote line management and cross-team collaboration.
• Strong stakeholder management experience, both internal and external, with sensitivity to different cultures and contexts.
• To be driven and inspired by good storytelling, with creativity, visual literacy for photography and film, and good knowledge of communications trends.

We’re recruiting a part time Marketing and Communications Manager to support the development, implementation and management of innovative marketing campaigns to drive awareness, interest, and income across all areas of our work.

Marketing management

• Supporting our Head of Marketing to develop cross-organisation marketing plans to help us achieve our member retention objectives and reach new audiences.
• Leading projects with our Members Services Team, Education and Training, and External Affairs teams to understand the market and customer need for our products and services.

Marketing activities

• Lead on the delivery of effective marketing plans for a range of audiences and outputs, including but not limited to our online and in-person events, qualifications, training and assessments, and clinical guidance, guidelines and standards.
• Write engaging copy for both online and offline marketing collateral – including news stories, blogs, email communications, print and digital adverts, and social media.
• Segment and tailor marketing communications for a range of audiences by professional role, membership type, and level of involvement with us.
• Manage regular email communications with our registered users (those who express an interest in us) and candidates (those currently learning with us) to support their journey towards becoming a member.
• Develop and manage the marketing activities for our core member publication The British Medical Journal in Sexual and Reproductive Health (BMJ SRH)
• Proactively manage a content calendar to help keep track of our range of communications.
• Collaborate with our Digital Marketing Officer to repurpose content from our website and campaign publications for use on social media.
• Ensure all communications practices are GDPR compliant.

Marketing intelligence

• Support the Head of Marketing with desk-based research / activities to help us better understand and engage with newer audiences (e.g., physician associates, pharmacists).
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using a range of tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM reports, Google Data Studio), working closely with our Digital Content Manager and Data Manager.
• Proactively look at ways to improve the overall effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data and insights to inform this.
• Track and monitor email campaign effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements, most notably during our annual member renewals campaign.

Brand management

• Champion our FSRH values, brand guidelines and style guide, supporting the Head of Marketing to keep our templates and materials up-to-date and implemented correctly.
• Support the development of event specific content for in-person and online events, and occasionally assist as an FSRH representative.
• Produce slides for our CEO / Officers where needed to help share information about FSRH’s work.

You will have experience:

• Developing and delivering successful and multichannel marketing and communications plans
• using email marketing tools and segmenting communications to suit specific audiences
• working across social media platforms and creating tailored content
• using data to understand audiences, measure the success of campaigns and improve effectiveness
• an understanding of GDPR and how it is applied in practice

Rethink Nature is a partnership of seven leading species conservation organisations whose aim is ‘to combine their extensive knowledge and experience to catalyse the action that species need across the four nations of the UK’.  We have received funding from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to set up a Species Recovery Partnership for NI to strengthen and build the Rethink partnership in NI, and work with government, other eNGOs and key stakeholders to better deliver key outcomes for species. You will work on behalf of the Partnership but be managed by the Head of Species at RSPB NI, and will be responsible for managing the Partnership Administrator. You will also work closely with Rethink Nature UK's Species Advocacy Lead. The role holder can be based anywhere in the UK but will be expected to travel to Northern Ireland (Belfast) approximately once every two months.

What's the role about?

We are looking for a highly organised and passionate individual with a good working knowledge of priority species in NI, the mechanisms needed to deliver for them, and the ability to bring stakeholders together. You will be responsible for managing the project to sure that that the following key outcomes are delivered within budget and on time.

• A set of Species Recovery Principles for NI
• A cross-taxa list of highest priority species for NI and concise species action plans (cSAPs) for these species
• A 3-day facilitated workshop to agree on the prioritised list and how the cSAPs and the bid will be developed.
• A NI Species bid, similar to those in GB (Species on the Edge, Back from the Brink, Natur Am Byth), to deliver the critical actions outlined in the cSAPs. This would form the basis of a bid to NLHF for development and delivery funding for a NI species bid.
• A document outlining the key policy and legislative changes needed to deliver for species in Northern Ireland and associated advocacy to ensure it gains attention and influences change.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Demonstrable experience of developing and working in partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
• Demonstrable leadership ability, able to lead without line management authority
• Organising meetings, facilitated workshops and events
• Excellent written, spoken communication and presentation skills for a wide variety of audiences
• Competent IT user (e.g. MS packages, Outlook etc)
• Demonstrable ability to manage project budgets and changes within projects

Key responsibilities:
● To work with the Director of Transformations to develop and execute a school engagement plan, in line with our scaling strategy and current funded programmes.

in our School Chef Educator Programme and School by School interventions.
● Lead meetings with Senior Leadership of prospective participating schools and academies, supported by our Senior Programme Managers where appropriate.
● Work with our Senior Programme Managers to identify suitable schools and participants for our funded training programmes, ensuring a high uptake of available places on our funded training programmes.
● Maintain accurate data records and ensure our contacts database is up to date with relevant school, participant, partner and engagement information.
● Build relationships with academy trusts and other strategic educational and youth organisations to market our programmes and champion our work around school food.
● Work with the Senior Programme Managers to build upon our current onboarding and customer journey for schools and training participants, developing and improving this for future schools and cohorts.
● Act as a collaborator and key influencer amongst colleagues to develop approaches and engagement resources that will facilitate a stronger rapport with schools.
● Working with the Director of Partnerships and Impact, effectively and efficiently handle new enquiries, manage the sales pipeline, outreach campaigns and support the onboarding process for schools and participants.

Skills & experience:
● You have interest and belief in our mission, to improve child health through improving food and food education in schools
● You are an excellent writer and communicator with strong presentation and facilitation skills
● You have experience of maintaining and building business relationships with a wide range of audiences from individual schools to large academy chains, through to partner delivery organisations and local government departments

The Role

We are seeking a driven, talented, energetic and creative individual for the role of Director of Development. This is a one-year maternity cover post.

In this role, you will work closely with and report to the Principal and Chief Executive and will be responsible for implementing and delivering a comprehensive and coherent fundraising strategy for LAMDA.

You will lead and deliver major gift campaigns, including the biennial Gala, to ensure the sustainability and success of LAMDA as the world’s leading centre for drama training. With the ability to work collegiately and collaboratively with all staff and stakeholders, you will have demonstrable experience in implementing and delivering a successful major fundraising strategy.

To be successful, you will be confident and proactive, a verbal and written communicator and a skilled networker with a very strong track record of relationship building. Additionally, you will have proven experience of working in a senior fundraising role in the arts, higher education or charity sector.

In this role, you will work 35 hours per week (9.30 am – 5.30 pm), Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work outside these hours to attend events and productions in accordance with business needs.

Age UK Richmond upon Thames are a local independent charity providing support for older people throughout the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Our wide range of services have a positive and long-lasting impact on the health and wellbeing of local older people.

We currently have an immediate excellent opportunity for flexible and proactive individual to join our Nightingale Home from Hospital service, which provides support to older people over the age of 65 living in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on their return home from hospital or when they have become unwell in the community.

The team is involved in organising and delivering tasks which facilitate a speedy hospital discharge / make the home safer to avoid readmission and avoid admission in the first place. About the role

This role is a job-share working with an existing Executive Assistant who is spending part of her time supporting the Director of Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns (PPC) and the PPC department. This role entails working with a wide range of groups internal and external to Christian Aid. The role will support the Director, taking on key pieces of work, including minutes taking and report of meetings, assisting with email, liaising with colleagues and other assistants, coordinating hosted events and stakeholder lists, planning logistics, booking travel and accommodation, editing and proofreading documents, conducting research, scheduling appointments and other administrative tasks, as appropriate.

Programme Manager role

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and committed Programme Manager(s) to join our existing Programme Team in September 2024 on a full or part-time basis (6-month fixed-term with potential to extend).  As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Yes Futures programmes in-person, in our partner primary and secondary schools in North London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire.

Main Responsibilities

You will be one of a small team of Programme Managers, dedicated to delivering excellent programmes which make a positive difference to the lives of students.  The main responsibilities of the Programme Manager role are:

Programme delivery

• Responsible for the care and wellbeing of all students in your schools on the programme;
• Communicating with parents where necessary during the programme, by email, letter and telephone;
• Planning and delivering whole-group workshops for students;
• Planning and delivering information and celebration events for students and parents;
• Facilitating the in-person and online volunteer coaching team to deliver student coaching sessions. As well as delivering coaching sessions to students, where required;
• Developing business and charity partnerships for day trips;
• Planning and delivering the day trips included in the programme;
• Supporting the planning and delivery of the Into the Wild residentials;
• Implementing discipline procedures, including reporting serious discipline issues;
• Implementing all necessary Health and Safety and Child Protection procedures, including recording and reporting any incidents;
• Ongoing communication with the school and Yes Futures head office regarding student engagement and progress.

Organisation and administration

• School onboarding, including ensuring that dates are planned, students are recruited and parental agreements are returned;
• Planning and organising the logistical elements of the programme (timetables, activities, sessions plans etc) through liaising with Yes Futures head office, school staff, businesses, charitable organisations and the rest of the Coaching team;
• Creation of Risk Assessments, parent letters and programme-related documents for schools;
• Sourcing materials needed for programme sessions, including lunches for trips;
• Assisting with finance and petty cash where required.

Management of volunteer Yes Futures Coaches

• Managing and developing the skills of your Coaching teams (usually 2-6 adults per school);
• Ongoing communication with your Coaching teams, to foster their enthusiasm and commitment;
• Supporting Coach recruitment for future programmes;
• Supporting the planning and delivery of training for Coaches;
• Maintaining accurate and secure records of Coaches’ personal information, absences, sickness and other relevant information.

Evaluation and reporting

• Facilitating the pre-, mid- and end of programme evaluations;
• Oversight and input of key student monitoring data and impact data;
• Debriefing and ongoing feedback collection from schools and Coaches;
• Ensure all work is carried out in an effective and timely manner to support continued high standards of the Yes Futures programmes.

Programme Managers will also be given the opportunity to support with other Head Office functions, including but not limited to:

• Strengthening our strategy, programme design and theory of change;
• Supporting the marketing of Yes Futures to new schools and customers;

About the role

We require someone who is able to provide a range of business support functions to the Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns Department (PPC), specifically the reporting and monitoring of grants-funded projects delivered within PPC and the administration of grants out to partners including use of our international programme management system.

The post holder will champion ways of working across the department that align with Christian Aid's strategy and systems and work closely with the Data Strategy and Transformation Lead and relevant teams to drive operational excellence and innovation that leads to smooth and effective business processes. This will include the coordination of a new PPC quarterly dashboard to track progress, improve decision making and assess impact.

The Role (30hrs per week)

· To provide day to day management and supervision of our remote Support Team, providing guidance and support to deliver appropriate information and advice for our mums and families.

· Provide casework support to Mummy’s Star families.

Information and Support Casework Delivery (50%)

· Receiving referrals and assessing needs of families from contact via self referral (post, email, online and social media) and third party referrals (health care professionals, families and charities)

· Providing families with the appropriate support based on their needs, this will include 121 emotional support, signposting to financial/practical support and peer support via our online forum.

· Ensuring support to mums and families is reviewed at regular intervals. 

· Maintain and monitor the online peer support forum.
