Trust and foundations

• Update the trusts and foundations database and managing the pipeline of activity
• Prepare tailored applications to trusts and foundations
• Manage reporting deadlines to funders
• Work closely with the artistic teams and Executive Director to shape proposals
• Create budgets working with the Executive Director, Finance Director, Artistic Directors and Project Leads 

Individual and Corporate Giving

• Create individual giving schemes, exploring the potential for new initiatives such as membership and legacy programmes
• Cultivate relationships with potential individuals and steward donors
• Research potential corporate supporters – both corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sponsorship
• Pitch to potential donors and supporters

Event Planning

• Create a programme of cultivation events which could:

- thank and nurture existing donors

- act as a precursor to giving

- introduce individuals and companies to potential campaigns

- begin new relationship development

Good practice, such as ethical fundraising

• Development of an ethical fundraising statement, in partnership with Executive and Board
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations
• Supporting team in being part of a fundraising culture

General

• Day to day management of fundraising budget, creating and monitoring income targets and delivering compelling company messaging around charitable giving on and offline. 

Ideal candidates will have skills and experience as shown in the candidate pack including:

We are seeking a Database Support Officer to join our fundraising team.

We care about building lasting relationships with our 21,000 active supporters and our database is critical in helping us to do that. For the right person, this is an opportunity to support our charity in using data to achieve our mission - to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to take responsibility for the delivery of several key functions within the Data Services team. You will be responsible for the importing of data into the database, providing contact data to JDRF teams to support and promote campaigns, direct mail, community engagement, major donor giving and challenge events, whilst providing database support and guidance to users, including providing training.

You’ll have knowledge of a relational database, excellent attention to detail and be skilled and comfortable in building good working relationships with colleagues and external suppliers.

You’ll join a small but friendly and driven team at an exciting time as we implement our new Data strategy to transform how we use data to engage our supporters.

About the Role

Reporting to Head of Fundraising and Communications, you'll play a crucial role in raising funds by engaging with SME's and the local community. This role involves developing and implementing fundraising campaigns, cultivating relationships with potential donors, supporting staff fundraising initiatives and coordinating fundraising events. You will collaborate with various stakeholders and build long-term partnerships that contribute to the sustainability and growth of the organisation.

The Youth Zone has developed a targeted funds infrastructure with live impact data established and ready to utilise in funding presentations. It costs £1.7 million a year to run, 90% of which is generated through voluntary donations of which this role will be aiming to contribute £200k in the first 2 years.

You will therefore play a vital role in keeping the charity financially sustainable through the development of local business and community fundraising. You will be given ample scope to test your creative ideas and drive forward income generation, supported by the Head of Fundraising and Communications, the Chief Executive and a forward thinking and engaged Board of Trustees.

About You

Being self-motivated and action orientated, you will be able to create and grow your own pool of potential supporters and thrive on 'making the ask'. As an enthusiastic ambassador, you'll be able to communicate this in an inspiring and tailored way and be comfortable in seeking and securing donations, whilst working alongside colleagues in the team to monitor and steward these donations appropriately.

Knowledge and experience:

Proven track record of generating income from Community and/or Corporate Fundraising. 
Experience of meeting ambitious targets for new business and stewarding. 
Experience of managing a pipeline of potential supporters/donors and aligning your interests with the organisational needs, to maximise gift level. 
Understanding of issues affecting young people and disadvantaged communities.

What the job involves

We're looking for a Workplace Health and Safety Manager to join our vibrant charity. This is a diverse and interesting role. You’ll play a key role in the safe and smooth running of our office, compliance, health and safety as well as facilities administration. As a ‘go to’ Workplace manager at the charity you’ll spend a few days a week working out of our London Office. You’ll be the expert in your field and will help to train and coach others to ensure they meet legal requirements when running fundraising and volunteer events. The role manages a co-ordinator to assist in running our 1-floor office in London Bridge.

You’ll have input in developing our Health and Safety policies, risk assessments, and be available to investigate any incidents.

You’ll get to work with a number of colleagues from across the organisation – from supporting the People Team to plan inductions of new starters to helping the Experience Team plan office events.

As a manager, you’ll manage one co-ordinator and the budget for the department. You'll be a key contact with contractors and build our relationship with them. You'll manage processes for ordering supplies, arranging logistics of work from home equipment and purchase orders. 

What we want from you

To be successful in this role, you’ll have extensive experience in workplace and health and safety roles or office facilities, supported by a recognised qualification. You’ll also proven experience in developing and implementing effective processes to embed a safe workplace culture.

You’ll be able to work unsupervised and be a creative thinker using your own initiative. This role requires proactivity, problem solving and prioritisation skills. 

You’ll interact with lots of different people (internal and external stakeholders) on a daily basis and be an excellent communicator. You’ll be working with a diverse group of people and will need to be able to put across complex information in an understandable way. Role Overview:​

• Provide infrastructure support to local voluntary and community sector (VCS) groups and social enterprises. ​

• Engage in one-on-one and outreach meetings to better support community needs. ​

• Develop and manage VCSE networks focusing on key themes like Children, Families, and Young People, Health and Wellbeing, Digital Isolation, and Safeguarding. ​

• Develop and oversee the implementation of detailed work plans for the development and funding advice service. ​

• Assist VCS organisations with monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating their impact. ​

• Planned and delivered training programs in collaboration with EHCVS staff or external trainers. ​

• Lead the development and promotion of a VCSE network in Ealing. ​

• Maintain and expand the membership database. ​

• Organise and facilitate network meetings and produce a monthly E-News. ​

• Support the development of local VCS networks and ensure effective communication through regular news updates and an online community calendar. ​

Strategic Development ​

• Develop strategic initiatives to enhance the capacity and sustainability of VCS organisations. ​

• Identify emerging trends and opportunities in the third sector to inform strategic planning. ​

• Work with the senior management team to integrate strategic priorities into operational plans. ​

• Facilitate the development of long-term strategies for growth and impact in the community. ​

Partnership Development:​

• ​

• Create partnerships with employers, sector bodies, trusts, and foundations. ​

• Develop bespoke partnership proposals and support partners in their engagement with EHCVS. ​

• Act as an account manager for key relationships, ensuring ongoing communication and collaboration. ​

• Report to partners on the impact of their contributions and provide stewardship activities.​

Fundraising and Income Generation:​

• ​

• Lead the strategic planning for income generation, focusing on innovation projects and core organisational costs. ​

• Manage and update the funding pipeline, seeking opportunities with corporates, trusts, and foundations. ​

• Work with the CEO and team to develop new and existing projects for funding. ​

• Write and submit funding proposals, ensuring alignment with EHCVS goals.​

Support to Development Team:​

• ​

• Collaborate across the Funding and Group Development Team to meet service delivery targets. ​

• Provide strategic input and support to ensure the success of development initiatives. ​

Other Duties ​

• Assist in producing briefings, information, and web material. ​

This is a varied role where you’ll be responsible for:

• Producing high quality research profiles, insights and briefings for our Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and Special Events fundraising teams.
• Conducting due diligence on key supporters and volunteers, communicating findings in a professional manner to support decisions around risk and reputation management.
• Delivering market insight and horizon scanning to help shape strategy for high value fundraising.
• Supporting fundraising colleagues to ensure high standards of data management and compliance

About You

We’re looking for a dynamic individual with:

• Exceptional analytical and research skills.
• Previous experience in a prospect/fundraising researcher position.
• Experience conducting due diligence within the not for profit sector.
• Experience with a wide range of research, risk and business intelligence  tools.

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Development Manager to maintain and build on our successful track record in fundraising.

You will bring your experience of charity fundraising, ideally in theatre or the wider cultural sector, but this could come from a range of sectors. You will play a key role in supporting the organisation to deliver its vital advice and advocacy work for the UK’s theatres, to create exciting new programmes and to further grow our profile and reputation.

Reporting to the Director and working closely with all members of the staff team, including support from the Administrator (shared with three other managers), the Development Manager will lead on fundraising for the organisation. You will ensure we are able to maintain existing activities and grants programmes and support the development of exciting new activity strands to support and promote the UK’s vibrant network of theatres.

You will be joining at an exciting time as we deliver Theatres Fit for the Future, our new three-year strategy and as we transition to new leadership. You will also be supported by an excellent and engaged Board and Fundraising Committee. The Content Manager will be responsible for managing the Content Team within the Marketing & Communications Department, overseeing delivery of the content framework, using evaluation and measurement to enable strategic and creative development so Battersea’s content output achieves brand, marketing and organisational objectives.

• Oversee strategic delivery against the content framework, supporting the team in effective implementation and measurement
