The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Outside the Box management team in a role that will combine planning, development, operational management and resource, staff and volunteer management. Working closely with our tutors, support workers, job coaches, volunteers and clients, the role is a varied one that spans recruitment, client support, quality assurance, content/curriculum development, team management, monitoring and evaluation,  marketing and much more. As a relatively small charity with dynamic and person-centred services, the role requires balancing practical tasks with management and forward planning. Whilst every day may be different, helping to oversee and support the high performance and continuous improvement of our client services is at the core of the role.

About you

You may have a background in post-16 education, training or employment support or experience in delivering and developing 'day' services for adults with a learning disability. You will certainly have a passion for our work, strong people management skills and a proven commitment to best quality and continuous improvement. The ability to adapt and embrace a changing, innovative environment and to model and support person-centred, impactful support for our client community are key.

National charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, trains dogs to transform the lives of deaf people and provides hearing loss services, because nobody with hearing loss should feel alone.

What you will be doing

This role supports the delivery of our Individual Giving programme, specifically in support of our Puppy Sponsorship Scheme. The delivery of exceptional supporter care across multiple channels lies at the heart of the Supporter Services team and forms an integral part of the Individual Giving retention strategy. In many instances, you will be the first line of enquiry either by telephone, email, social media, or letter (and occasionally face-to-face) for Hearing Dogs’ supporters.

• Present a professional, positive, and proactive approach to supporter care and adherence to best practice regarding stewardship and supporter engagement.
• Be proactive in stewardship process improvement and development, maintaining up-to-date guidance notes for areas of your work.
• Ensure all interactions with supporters are logged in the CRM system and where appropriate passed on to the relevant team(s) in a timely manner.
• Use KPIs and SLAs to track, measure, and report on performance to ensure supporter care consistently meets our high standards.  
• Process telephone, post and email enquiries/donations regarding and related to the Puppy Sponsorship Scheme, and ensure that all queries are responded to and resolved within recommended stewardship guidelines and timeframes for the team.
• Assist with maintenance of Puppy Sponsorship data on the Charity’s CRM to ensure supporter records are up-to-date and accurate, flagging any issues to the Supporter Services Manager.
• Prepare data for Puppy Sponsorship updates and build email communications.
• Assist with the production and cleaning of mailing files to support fundraising appeals, raffles, lotteries, and other products.

The role

The Corporate and Individual Giving Manager is responsible for generating sustainable income by identifying, engaging with, and securing funding through individuals and corporate donor relationships.

Establishing sustainable fundraising streams is a top priority for the centre. This role will play a crucial part in strengthening our strategy for Individual and Corporate Giving, with a keen focus on continuous growth. Key responsibilities include identifying and cultivating a pipeline of prospective donor relationships, as well as creating compelling corporate fundraising campaigns and providing personalised stewardship to both attract new supporters and nurture existing relationship.

This role will sit within the wider Income and Generation Team. There is a recognition that some aspects of this role might, at times, overlap with the remit of other team members (for instance, corporate foundations, corporate volunteering). There will also be an expectation that both the Head of Income Generation and Marketing and the CEO are actively involved in Income Generation from Individuals as well as Corporates, especially where High Net Worth (HNW) and more strategic partnerships are concerned. A key requirement for success in this role is to be able to function well in the context of a team setting.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Strategy Lead to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver an ambitious, new, forward-thinking strategy for a charity that builds a better future for disabled people. Over the next 12 months you will deliver this strategy in an innovative way, utilising your experience in impact/ purpose-led environments.

I’m keen to speak to a skilled strategic thinker, who is comfortable handling large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data and reconciling different perspectives. You will be an experienced programme manager or have experience managing complex projects independently in a strategy or research context.

With data and insights collected, the organisation know the questions that need answering to ensure an effective strategy for the next 5 years. The strategy has ten broad strategy workstreams, which include their approaches to grant-making, innovation, partnerships, finances, and equity, diversity and inclusion. They will aim to answer their big questions and develop their new strategy through three sprint processes between August and December, and conclude the programme of work in April 2025.

The role;

• Programme manage an agile strategy process with ten defined workstreams in a flexible and pragmatic way. (June – March) 
• Design and run three sprints which enable workstream leads to progressively refine strategic assumptions, gather and reflect on key insights from disabled people and other stakeholders, and develop objectives for the coming strategy period. (July – December)
• Work with the Director of Performance and Innovation and colleagues to consolidate these workstreams into a forward strategy
• Work with the communications team to establish and deliver an engagement and communications plan for the new strategy.

Individual Giving Manager

The Individual Giving Manager in the Mass Fundraising team will work closely with the Senior Individual Giving Manager and Mass Lead to develop the programme across membership, lottery, raffle and digital fundraising.

As Individual Giving Manager you will:  

• Lead on the RNID weekly lottery, which this year will be launching private site face to face recruitment
• Manage our two annual raffles
• Support the Senior Individual Manager with the review of our Membership programme and deliver the recommendations
• Support the Senior Individual Giving Manager and Mass Lead to set budgets and conduct regular reforecasting of your area
• Develop, test and improve new digital fundraising channels

You will be an experienced Individual Giving fundraiser with a strong track record of marketing and generating income. You will have excellent project management skills and enjoy working across teams to meet shared goals and objectives.

You’ll work closely with the Marcomms team on marketing plans and concepts that will inspire donors to give and stay to our case, allowing us to grow a sustainable programme. You will use evidence and insight to deliver an audience led programme, driven by a test and learn culture. You will create, test and iterate new products and be comfortable in developing audience profiles and propositions to support these products. You will have experience in managing supporter data to ensure compliance and maximise effectiveness of our campaigns.

As the Operations Manager at WeSwim, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our programs and services. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our regional WeSwim program, managing a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our impact and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of WeSwim's swimming sessions and events, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.

• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team of staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

• Strategic Planning: Work closely with the Director to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to achieve WeSwim's goals and objectives.

• Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including pool facilities, community partners, and funders, to support the expansion and sustainability of WeSwim's programs.

• Financial Management: Contribute to budget planning and management, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with financial policies and procedures.

• Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish performance metrics and monitoring systems to track the impact and effectiveness of WeSwim's programs, and provide regular reports and updates to the board of trustees and other stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the nonprofit sector.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of staff and volunteers.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement.

• Sound financial management skills, with the ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.

• Passion for social inclusion and a commitment to promoting diversity and accessibility in swimming.

Location: Remote, with some travel in London, including oaccasional evenings
