We currently have a vacancy in our Young Carers Service Team to support the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team and lead the Young Carers Service. This is a senior role that requires managerial experience, an understanding of the youth sector, safeguarding, and the ability to work with different employed teams and volunteers.

· Be a member of the Senior Management team and actively participate in the overall strategic management and development of the organisation.

· Ensure that the strategic development of the young carer service is co-ordinated and services are delivered in line with funded contract and grant requirements, CSC's development plan and local and national strategies and priorities.

· Be responsible for the support, supervision, management and development of the Operational manager, Schools Development Officer and Engagement worker

· Be the Children and Young People’s Safeguarding lead, working in conjunction with the Adults Safeguarding lead and deputies.

· Ensure young carers voice leads service development internally and externally improving the identification and support for young carers across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

· Ensure sustainability developing service plans and working with Fundraising manager to raise the funds to sustain services that meet young carers needs.

St Giles is expanding its delivery of hospital-based projects; this service is aimed at vulnerable 10 to 25-year-olds who attend the adult or paediatric emergency department or Urgent Care Centre at Whipps Cross ED. We will work alongside hospital staff to proactively identify vulnerable young people and help them to access and engage the support they need to prevent any potential escalation of violence and reduce the risk of repeat victimisation or exploitation.

About this key role

You will be part of the Whipps Cross ED Team meeting CYP (Children and Young People) at the point of presentation to the ED to offer support, which is a person centred with the aims to safeguard and reduce risk around the CYP. This support extends post-discharge from the ED or Hospital with our Caseworkers working with the CYP and the professional networks to ensure the CYP voice is front and centre, this is to support the betterment of the CYP and their future, as well as reducing risks. This is done through providing 121 support in formulating the support plan with the CYP. This can also include supporting the family and advocating for them and CYP within the wider professional network.

We actively encourage people with personal experience of the criminal justice system or lived experience of the issues facing this client group to apply for this role.

What we are looking for:

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families
• Experience of assessing risk and implementing safety procedures when thinking about children and young people involved in or at risk of violence or exploitation
• Proven experience of working in a high-intensity environment, with an ability to effectively manage your own wellbeing
• Experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people, for example, people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC) funds and delivers a pre-hospital emergency helicopter-led service across the Midlands region (serving six counties). The Opportunity

As MAAC prepares for the planned departure of its current postholder, the organisation is seeking an exceptional Director of Finance to join the Executive Team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Finance Director is a key member of the Charity’s Leadership Team, providing strategic financial direction across the Group (the parent charity and its trading subsidiary). This role ensures the organisation remains financially resilient, well‑governed, and strongly positioned to deliver its mission for the long term – through working collaboratively with the Chief Executive, Leadership Team and Board members.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Play a key role as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to organisational strategy and fostering strong cross‑department collaboration.  Work collaboratively with the Chief Executive and SLT to develop and maintain the three-year strategic plan, ensuring financial projections, assumptions, and scenario planning are based on accurate data and sound forecasting.
• Provide strategic financial leadership that supports long‑term sustainability, future growth, and the delivery of critical services.
• Build strong, transparent, and trusting relationships with Board members by delivering clear, relevant financial reporting and assurance (supporting Board members to carry out their governance responsibilities effectively).  Manage the Audit and Risk Committee’s activities in conjunction with the Committee Chair
• Lead a high‑quality financial management function for the Charity and its subsidiary, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, governance requirements and accounting standards.
• Manage the full year-end audit cycle, ensuring schedules, reconciliations, and working papers are prepared to a high standard and delivered within agreed timescales.

• Manage the relationship with the Charity’s external investment portfolio fund manager and independent investment advisors - ensuring the Charity receives high-quality professional advice on investment strategy, shareholdings, and cash allocation, and that all recommendations align with organisational objectives, ethical considerations, and risk appetite.

About You

You will be a professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with substantial senior‑level experience and the credibility to operate confidently at Board level. Most importantly, you will embody strong values, show high emotional intelligence, and be genuinely motivated to contribute to MAAC’s mission. Charity sector experience is essential -  with a thorough understanding of what it takes to promote financial best practice, control spend and assist with income generation in sizable Not-for-Profit environments. About the role:

Location: This role is based in Luton. Evening / Weekend Support Worker (Substance Misuse)

We are looking for someone mature, motivated and caring to provide person-centred support to our residents in their recovery journey. If you have a heart to see people overcome substance misuse - to reset, recover, and restore their lives - please join our friendly team.

Job Purpose:

• Responsible for the servicing and stewardship of Butterfly Conservation members to ensure we deliver the best possible member experience.
• Responsible for the processing and administration of donations and membership applications/renewals using our CRM database (Microsoft Dynamics 365) ensuring a high level of customer care and excellent retention of all our supporters to maximise potential income.
• Working with colleagues to ensure our members feel valued.

Specific Tasks:

• Act as a reliable first point of contact for Members, handling queries received by email, post and over the telephone efficiently and politely.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate member data within the database (Microsoft Dynamics 365) including accurate servicing and storage of all membership renewals, new joiners, lapsing/ reengagement and donation processing.
• Ensure all data is held and processed in accordance with BC’s Data Protection Policy and individual communication preferences.
• Responsible for ensuring the timely and smooth running of the membership welcome and renewal communications (email and post), liaising with contractors and keeping all letters and emails up to date and relevant.
• Responsible for the process to contact members who’s payments have end (sometimes referred to as lapsed) aiming to reengage and minimise attrition.
• Work with colleague to continue to develop the membership offering across all membership categories – student/young person, family, single, joint, benefactor and life memberships.
• Work closely with the Database Support Officer to ensure all database processes work effectively and accuracy of the data is always maintained. Investigate queries and raise issues where necessary, assuring a satisfactory outcome. Create and maintain guides on database process as appropriate.
• Oversee the preparation and distribution of regular reports on membership numbers to BC’s 32 Branches.
• Liaise with Branches on newsletter distribution – hard copy and email - including proofing content, obtaining print quotes and requesting data extracts to supply directly to our printer / mailing house.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with relevant branch volunteers, including providing timely responses to queries and requests for additional information. Ensure Branches are kept up to date with all membership recruitment campaigns and changes to subscription rates etc via the quarterly Branch e-newsletter
• Contribute to the creation and distribution of branch emails including welcome and newsletter communications from branches to members.
• Maintain accurate records of total membership numbers (individual and household) through the database. Collate a monthly membership update for the Chief Executive and Director of Fundraising and Comms detailing new and leaving members and working with the Head of Supporter Fundraising to include an explanation of trends and anomalies.
• Assist with the accurate recording of income into the database, following BC processes in areas including cheque and cash handling.
• Work with the Finance Team on monthly reconciliation of income recorded on the CRM with finance software information (ensuring correct allocation of income etc).
• Assist with the preparation of the annual membership audit reconciliation to explain any discrepancies and payment exceptions for all membership categories and income
• Ensure sufficient stock requirements of all membership leaflets, welcome pack contents, membership incentives and any other literature required within allocated budget
• Distribution of membership application forms, promotional codes and resources to staff, Branches and the public as required.
