As a Resettlement Worker you will be supporting homeless women to gain the skills needed in order to live independently; our clients are expected to be with us for no more than 2 years and the main route into independent living will be PRS (Private Rented Sector). You will be carrying out a variety of workshops to support the clients to gain the skills needed and use our internal and external partners to help our clients get back into work or education. You will also be supporting the women to understand financial responsibilities, paying rent, bills, council tax and applying for benefits.

You will need to be someone who can work with other people unconditionally, who has an understanding of the challenges of homelessness and can work without judgement. You will need to be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills and able to work well with others. You will be part of a fantastic team, being one of five Resettlement Workers holding a caseload of women, with the focus on resettlement and preparing for independence.

This role is part of a much larger Project, so here you have the opportunity to work alongside and support your colleagues working with our women focusing on reflection, recovery, training, employment at all stages of their journey out of homelessness.

Salary

Hours

Average 40 hours a week on a five-week rota. Normal working pattern will be working across early and late shifts & working 2 weekends out of 5. Some flexibility in working hours is expected.

Pension

The employee will be enrolled into a pension scheme providing the post holder meets the criteria for eligibility. Minimum pension contributions will be paid by the employer for you if you are eligible.

Annual Leave

This busy team processes Housing Benefit payments from 55 local authorities in the UK for up to 4000 St Mungo’s residents; and collect over £45 million in rent and service charge plays a key role in the organisation to support clients to rebuild their lives. In this role you will:

• Provide administrative support to the Rent Service Team to facilitate early intervention of rent arrears overall.
• Be responsible for a caseload of up to 750 residents; working proactively to support clients in prevention of rent arrears within your designated caseload.
• Use your sound influencing skills in the recovery of former tenant rent arrears.
• Communicate effectively to provide high levels of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

In this role you will be required to work for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. Working with a caseload in your local designated boroughs, you will produce comprehensive and high-quality assessments on their support needs; particularly their housing, employment and financial needs and follow the most suitable pathway for them.

Main Purpose of the Role:

Royal British Legion Industries Ltd. (RBLI) is both a charity and a company limited by guarantee.  The trustees of RBLI are therefore responsible for oversight of the organisation under both charity and company law.  They are they legal directors, as determined by company law and the Articles of Association.  The day to day running of RBLI is the responsibility of the Chief Executive and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).  This role, which reports to the Director of Governance, Compliance & Business Systems, supports the board of trustees and the SLT in all areas of governance.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Governance:

• Oversight of all board and sub-committee meetings, ensuring there is an efficient and effective structure to achieve organisational objectives including the review and maintenance of all terms of reference.

A bit about the role:

As a Care Support Worker you will assist people to live well, be independent and connected to their own community. You will support people with kindness and compassion ensuring that they are assisted to make choices and be involved in all aspects of their life. You will work within agreed boundaries, following operational guidance, policies and procedures. You will advocate for the people you support so that they are protected from harm and able to exercise their human rights.

• Represent the interests of your team with stakeholders that you meet during the course of your work.
• Be professional and promote positive joint working between relatives, other departments and partners.

• Understand and abide by the organisation and regulatory rules that apply to your service including those set by the CQC.

This role will require a Enhanced DBS check, a UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.

We are looking for a communications manager, you will be a senior member of our Culture, Communications, and Involvement directorate, leading our communications team to tell our story, build trust and create excitement about ISHA and everything we do for our residents and communities.

You will work with the Director of Culture, Communication & Involvement to develop the new communication strategy and lead on the implementation, ensuring that two-way communication with colleagues, residents, stakeholders, and the wider community whilst consistently promoting ISHA’s objectives and values.

We are looking for someone who is values-driven and brings communications best-practice, creativity and the ‘get-up-and-go' to help us write the next successful chapter. We need a communications all-rounder with great content instincts to tell our story well to a range of audiences, most importantly our residents and staff. Someone who can develop and implement strategies for high-impact internal and external communication, as well as ensuring delivery of our regular events and communication and marketing materials, such as leaflets, newsletters, annual reports and press releases.

We are also looking for someone with website redevelopment (or project management) experience to ensure that our website is given a much-needed refresh and then maintained to support a strong, positive resident experience.

Ideally, you will have some team management experience and be well-versed in getting the most out of your team members. You need to be flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic, and have excellent communication and influencing skills. A great sense of humour will serve you in good stead working in our busy, fast paced office.
