Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester Dioceses are working towards reaching Net Zero Carbon by 2030 and to incorporate sustainable working practices across all its operations. This includes churches, clergy housing, schools, diocesan offices, churchyards and curtilage land and investment land and housing.

A key aim will be to reduce the emissions from energy consumption year-on-year across the Dioceses, working with the national Church of England Routemap to net zero as a key guiding document.

The post holder will be leading, alongside a committed team, in the development of the Net Zero Carbon policy, strategy and an Action Plan and will be responsible for the monitoring and reporting of progress towards the implementation of the Diocesan Net Zero Carbon Action Plan.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to work as a Fundraising Coordinator.

The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for leading the work to raise funds to support the revenue costs of the Cathedral and towards securing external funding to support capital projects.

The Fundraising Coordinator will work collaboratively across the departments and in collaboration with the Rochester Cathedral Trust. All Cathedral employees are expected to work as a team to ensure the Cathedral fulfils its mission.

The Role of Safeguarding Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Coventry Diocesan Safeguarding team as a Safeguarding Administrator. 

You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully with a range of stakeholders. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written will be key, as well as working collaboratively within a team.

The main responsibilities of the Safeguarding Administrator are:

• To provide effective and efficient administrative and logical support to the diocesan safeguarding team ensuring that all systems contribute to the delivery of high-quality service and the smooth running of the diocesan safeguarding teams work.
• Overseeing the team’s diary management, booking internal and external meetings
• Minute taking meetings including safeguarding meetings

• Maintain and update relevant databases and recording systems, ensuring accurate records
• Be responsible for DBS administration of Parish Safeguarding Officers
• Developing knowledge of safeguarding policy to advise appropriately on matters relating to general parish safeguarding such as safer recruitment, training and parish dashboard
• Provide general administrative support, as deemed appropriate by the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor

Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) is a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to give struggling children hope and a future.

Building on the huge success of TLG Early Intervention Coaching, TLG Therapeutic Support will be a new way for TLG, with partner churches, to provide support in school for the increasing number of pupils struggling to cope due to their emotional, relational, and mental health experiences. 

In this role we are looking for an individual that thrives working with children and young people in a school context and is passionate about supporting pupils and their families struggling with emotional, relational, and mental health challenges. This role requires a formal counselling qualification or at least evidence of notable progress on the journey to attaining a counselling qualification. The TLG Therapeutic Counsellor will be present each week in the school, providing specialist trauma aware care for these children, whilst supporting staff and parents too.

This role will cover a wider area of executive support including governance, meeting management, senior leadership team support, managing on-line gatherings, travel management, diary management, correspondence management and relationship management.

The post-holder will be key in supporting the WWP in this, and also, with both WWP and CEO, in mapping out the key events and activities over a 6 year cycle, so that there is a clear structure for the new WWP (and ultimately successor to CEO ) to come into and work with. They will also assist the CEO in “standard agenda planning” for the board, for example, the induction of the new Board in early 2025.

Whilst the role is for 3 days per week, ideally this would be flexible, with the individual working more days at certain times (for example during the Board week) and less at quieter times.

Work Location

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Website: Developing and updating SAT-7’s websites as inspiring platforms to raise profile, income and engagement.

The Diocese of Guildford has an exciting part-time opportunity for a Community Project Lead to manage our parish-based community project, Hear Here. As a member of the Mission Enabler Team, you will have the opportunity to work flexibly with enthusiastic colleagues across the wider Church House.

The Hear Here Project is a collaboration between the Diocese, Parishes, NHS Audiology Departments and Sight for Surrey to assist those who wear an NHS-issued hearing aid with any technical issues at clinics run by trained hearing champions.
