We are looking to appoint a new Digital Communications Officer to play a key role in helping SportsAid build vibrant and engaged online communities, delivering content and fostering meaningful interactions across our digital platforms.

Our new digital community engagement platform will be a cornerstone of SportsAid’s digital strategy, providing an essential space for athletes and their parents to access tailored resources and training, connect with peers, and feel part of a supportive community.

Your focus will be on:

· Planning and producing content for the online community platform, ensuring regular updates, discussions, and engagement opportunities

· Day-to-day management of SportsAid’s social media channels, amplifying stories, celebrating achievements, and engaging with a wider audience

• Creating a mix of written, visual, and video content to drive engagement and audience growth.

Purpose of the Job

This is a key role within a small and busy finance team. The postholder is responsible for a range of transaction processing and finance administration; mostly focused on purchase ledger, sales ledger, assisting with the month-end process, and plays a vital role in upholding HFEH Mind’s financial controls.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer will also need to communicate effectively with staff across the organisation and a wide range of suppliers to help resolve queries and ensure that the purchase and sales ledger processes are operating efficiently and effectively. Excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise to achieve internal reporting deadlines, and meticulous attention to detail, are critical for this role.
 

Job Description

Purchase and payments

• Ensure all invoices, expenses and credit notes received are processed following the agreed systems and controls.
• Process invoices and expenses into the accounting system.
• Creation of twice weekly and ad-hoc pay runs.
• Process and pay file generated into the bank software.
• Produce and send out remittances.
• Aged creditors review monthly
• Oversee that authorisation processes are being followed by staff.
• Process staff expense claims following the agreed systems and controls.
• Organise and process occasional cash floats and petty cash, ensuring unspent cash is accounted for and all transactions evidenced and recorded.

Card purchases

• Oversee day to day administration of card purchases, ensuring cardholders upload receipts and code transactions by the stated month end deadlines.
• Transfer fully evidenced and coded transactions from credit card template to Sage
• Reconcile transactions to the bank statements

Sales

• Raise sales invoices as requested and per income schedule.
• Sending out sales invoices to customers.
• Creation of a debtors report twice a month and distribute.
• Coordinate with operational staff for the recovery of debt; escalating in line with procedures.
• Posting cash receipts and allocate to the relevant invoice.
• Aged debts management

Banking

• Reconcile banking on a timely basis
• Post direct debit payments

Inbox management and other queries

• Daily review of new messages received into the finance email inbox from staff, suppliers and other parties, dealing with queries directly where possible.
• Be especially vigilant about phishing, Malware / spam emails which are common in generically named inboxes and following all data protection guidance given.
• For more involved queries, liaise with and assist other finance team members to resolve them appropriately; maintain responsibility for ensuring they are resolved.
• Excellent organisation and administration of both inboxes, to ensure the status of queries is clear at all times and appropriate records are kept on file.

Other regular tasks

• Support the Finance Manager with weekly payroll administration, for example communications with staff members regarding timesheets and new starter information.
• Pay cheques and cash into the bank account, including accurate completion of banking.
• Withdraw cash from the bank as necessary
• Lead on ensuring the digital filing structure is adhered to and support the rest of the team with scanning and filing as needed.
• Lead on the archiving of paper documents stored in the office.
• Assist with other tasks appropriate to your level of training where needed, to help ensure that the finance function operates effectively, including providing cover where staff are sick or taking annual leave.
• Work to the month end deadlines agreed within the finance team, to ensure timely production of management accounts and internal reports.
• Take responsibility for your continuous professional development, ensuring you maintain up to date knowledge of relevant financial legislation, accounting standards, good practice and new initiatives as relevant to the Mental Health and charity sectors.

• Project Management accountability for the YAA CRM Project, ensuring successful, on-time and on-budget delivery
• Establish and manage a realistic and committed plan for the project, taking into consideration business deadlines, dependencies, resources, and costs, monitoring work plan activities and support team members in delivering their project elements
• Work successfully with the implementation partner, vendors and any 3rd party systems to deliver the CRM solution to a go-live point and then project sign-off

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Previous experience of delivering a fundraising CRM database implementation project, including data cleansing and migrations, ideally in a third sector environment
• Extensive track record of successfully managing projects and programmes with accountability for both technology configuration and deployment, integration, business process, change and infrastructure activities
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time/on budget, using project management processes and tools including risk management, benefits management, financial management and quality assurance

As Major Gifts Lead, you will:

Ffald y Brenin is a well-established and respected Christian ministry centred on the Retreat Centre and House of Prayer in West Wales. Thousands of residential and day visitors come every year to experience God’s presence, to rest and to be strengthened in their Christian lives. Thousands of others engage in Ffald y Brenin’s ministry of Local Houses of Prayer (LHOP) globally, as well as using online and printed resources, or attending Prayer Days and conferences.

Ffald y Brenin is celebrating forty years of ministry this year with an increasing sense of excitement about what the Lord has in store for the next forty! We want to build on our foundations, rooted in contemplative prayer and worship, with Ffald y Brenin as the trysting place between individuals and God, expanding our reach across the generations. There are developing plans to extend our reach, which could include an enlarged footprint in space and activity. The vision is unfolding under the banner of #Next40, and we will be fundraising, inviting friends and supporters to invest in Ffald y Brenin’s future.

The Operations Manager/Projects Manager supports the Director and Ministry Leads in enabling Ffald y Brenin to play its part in cultivating the presence of God, serving the Body of Christ and the nation of Wales and blessing the nations globally. They do so by ensuring effective resource management and operations and through high quality project management. Also, at this important point in the history of Ffald y Brenin, they will play a key role in supporting the visionary development of our ministry as we engage with all that #Next40 offers, including new development projects.

Accountable for

● Implementing and maintaining policies and ensuring legal compliance

● Managing land and buildings (decor, maintenance, equipment, etc)

● Stewarding the charity’s resources with integrity and clarity, applying Charity Commission guidance

● Collaborating closely with Trustees and the Finance Officer to oversee operational and project budgets—translating financial data into purposeful decisions aligned with timelines, funding conditions, and the organisation’s wider mission

● Providing line management to the Finance Officer, supporting shared accountability in financial stewardship

● Provide line management and day-to-day support to the Head Gardener and Groundsman, ensuring estate operations align with safety, care, and the wider goals of the organisation

St Christopher’s Learning Support Team are looking for a full time Learning Mentor for the London Region to cover the London Accommodation Pathways  (LAP) and other Services we provide.

The Learning Support Team offers support to Teams helping young people to develop core skills – both practical and academic, widen their existing interests, and explore new ideas. You will be involved in delivering group and one-to-one sessions, Maths and English tuition, tailored to individual needs; working with the rest of the team around the young person to ensure all our young people are provided with appropriate access to education engagement.

Our centres provide a high-impact education programme which includes practical learning support, pastoral care, and motivational and confidence-building activities for young people aged 7-18. We are looking for a high-calibre candidate who will enjoy working each day with young people and who will thrive in a frontline, community-based, fast-paced and rewarding role. You will be taking up a permanent role as Centre Leader at our IntoUniversity centre in Walworth. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting  IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery.

Strategy, vision and impact [25%]

• Be at the forefront of leading Resurgo’s ‘big picture’ vision of a transformed society, empowering churches to transform young lives 
• Build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with local referral agencies to ensure effective recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme 
• Oversee the reporting of the Centre outcomes and ensure the Spear Programme is delivered in line with agreed targets 

Leadership, line management and training [25%]

• Lead your team with confidence; spurring them on in Resurgo’s mission; invest in a team culture of excellence, belonging and fun 
• Manage and develop the Lead Coach and Graduate Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development. This includes weekly 1:1s, performance reviews and regular feedback
• Equip your team to drive change through a data informed approach, and keep them accountable to agreed targets for the Spear Programme

Relationship management [20%]

• Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees 
• Embed into your local church; working closely with your Spear Trustees and congregation, and actively participating in their mission and events
• Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room

Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]

• Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets 
• Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
• Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and overcome significant barriers to employment 

Operations [10%]

• Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies
