Role purpose

ShelterBox has a growing network of international supporters who connect with the organisation through our international affiliates - independent charities in their own countries. Affiliates’ supporter growth and engagement activities are enabled by this role with further support from other UK-based teams, including fundraising, brand, content and comms.

ShelterBox has 13 affiliates who are directly helping the organisation achieve one of our strategic objectives of international diversified funding. Affiliates share our mission and consequently raise awareness and funding to support the organisation. Collectively they contribute greatly to engaging with and a global community of supporters. We raise a significant proportion of ShelterBox’s total income through our affiliate network, and from other international donors in countries beyond our affiliates. 

 The purpose of the Interim International Giving Manager role is to support the management of affiliate relationships with ShelterBox by providing a focal point for day-to-day dialogue; to share information and resources effectively across the network; and to develop collaborative working relationships which enhance our supporter experience.  

This role will empower the international network by providing materials, information and content which is key to achieving a consistent brand and fundraising success. One of the ways that this role will help to bring this community together is with a series of engagements throughout the year, not least of which is the annual International Fundraising Conference attended by key personnel from the fundraising network, strategic partnerships and UK staff.

Who are we looking for?

ShelterBox is seeking an inspiring and proactive relationship builder who can take a leading role in the International Giving team. They will be the focal point for providing support to many of our international fundraising staff and volunteers, with a high level of attention to detail and supporter-centric best practice. They should be confident in managing multiple projects simultaneously and working with a broad set of objectives associated with fundraising and communications. They be the line manager for other members of the team who have shared responsibility for international supporter growth and engagement.

 Duties include but are not limited to:

• Leading key relationships with affiliate staff and volunteers to execute the strategy for growing diversified international income.
• Line management of the International Giving Executive role to deliver international supporter communications and volunteer engagement. Nurturing their development.
• Supporting delivery of the international Rotary partnership strategy, in collaboration with the Rotary Partnership Manager, by bringing together international fundraisers at key moments in the annual calendar.
• Communicating clear guidance on shared global fundraising priorities, drawing on data and insight to optimise results.
• Working collaboratively with affiliates to contribute to a suite of refreshed brand communication materials.
• Managing the translation of key communications (including subtitles for videos produced by B&C) into languages required by affiliates.
• Supporting enhanced communications with affiliates during times of major disaster
• Proactively identifying growth opportunities and promoting these across the international network
• Facilitating consistent application of the joint ShelterBox and Rotary brand guidelines.
• Leading the design and delivery of the annual International Fundraising Conference.
• Travelling internationally to fundraising events or meetings with affiliates
• Maintaining an up-to-date contact list for affiliates together with records of reports, meetings and plans
• Maintaining an up-to-date record of correspondence, meeting minutes and actions taken
• Manage financial processes related to international income including annual budget-setting and quarterly reforecasting.
• Deliver data for reporting on the agreed set of financial and non-financial KPIs.
• Liaising with Finance to facilitate the receipt of grants from Affiliates and any other fund transfers.
• Liaising with Procurement to facilitate the planning of any expenditure and/or the process through which purchases are made.

About the role

This is a new role in the Children on the Edge team, working with the Grants Manager to maximise funding from foundations and grant makers, and helping to grow our grants income (currently around £1.2m). You will be managing and growing a portfolio of funders, and identifying and nurturing new relationships with potential funders. 

You will deliver effective prospecting, write compelling applications and create impactful reporting to new and current funders; helping to achieve the wider fundraising strategy of building and sustaining a broad base of restricted and unrestricted funding.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated fundraiser to join a small and dynamic organisation. You will be championing and fundraising for community led programmes that create protective environments full of hope, life, colour and fun. . 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have an interest and understanding of community led international development and a passion for Children on the Edge’s distinctive approach and work.

You will have excellent communication skills, and a naturally pro-active and collaborative approach. You will enjoy creating compelling applications, narrative and financial reports for funders, be results-driven and have the self motivation and drive to deliver against deadlines.

The role combines strategic leadership, internal and external coordination, and lots of hands-on development of funding applications, reports and much more. The role holder will manage and cultivate strong relationships with donors and members of the network, including the funding teams in our host organisations through whom funding flows. • High level experience and knowledge of key humanitarian and development donors such as: ECHO, BHA/USAID, GFFO, FCDO and European government donors.

As Senior Consultant – Organisational Development you will play a central role in the design and delivery of INTRAC’s Organisational Development (OD) offer as a core member of INTRAC’s OD Team. Job Purpose

The International Finance Manager works closely with the Director of Finance & Corporate Resources to oversee financial management of the UK Charity and its international subsidiaries.

This role holds specific financial management responsibilities which include:

• The development, implementation and ongoing oversight of financial policies, practices, processes and systems.
• The production of the budget and quarterly management accounts, the management of the external audit and production of consolidated year end statutory accounts.
• Relationship management with banks, HMRC and outsourced financial services providers; providing comprehensive finance support to members, staff, budget-holders and the Leadership Team (LT) on budgeting and reporting.
• Supporting the Director of Finance & Corporate Resources in providing comprehensive financial analysis and reporting to the Board, Finance & HR Committee and LT.
• Undertake the financial due diligence review of new and existing members in accordance with Charities Framework.
• There is an expectation that regardless of time zone the job holder will need to work flexibly to support work with colleagues in different time zones including occasional work outside normal working hours. (8.00am – 6.00pm)

To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Trust Fundraising Officer to join our small yet dynamic Fundraising team to help grow our income through Charitable Trusts and grant making organisations.  This is an exciting time to join the organisation as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary year and look to a future of growth and building on our past achievements. 

About the role

- You'll research trusts and foundations funding opportunities to which IHP can apply.
- You'll prepare and submit compelling funding applications to trusts and foundations in order to grow our core income.
- You'll work across teams and build effective relationships with team members in order to identify suitable projects for funding in line with strategy and budgets.
- You'll support the preparation of funding applications by members of the team to other donors, including corporate donors, major donors and other charity partners (NGOs)​

Essential qualifications, knowledge,/transferrable skills and experience:

• Relevant fundraising experience (trusts and foundations)
• Experience of managing relationships with external stakeholder
• Experience of administration and record-keeping
• Experience of developing and managing budgets in line with funding applications.

Prospect Research Manager (Corporate Partnerships)

Contract: 12 Months, Fixed term contract, Fulltime, Maternity Cover

About the Team:
The Corporate Partnerships team fosters relationships with companies with a view to driving and encouraging high-value donations, strategic action in supply chains, employee fundraising activities, fundraising products and commercial opportunities, including cause-related marketing and mass participation events. In developing new and existing partnerships the team also initiates dialogue and collaboration on policy and influencing, advocacy and technical service delivery.

About the Role:
You will lead on the development and delivery of a prospect research strategy to support the strategic development of our partnership portfolio. In collaboration with the Senior Partnership Development Manager you will develop and implement a prospect research strategy to grow partnerships and income. You will also oversee all aspects of the prospect pipeline process and present monthly KPI reports to the Partnership Development team, liaising with the Performance and Insights team as required to adapt reports to meet the team's needs.

You will maintain a strong role in understanding and promoting the role of research in enabling our fundraising teams to maximise donor engagement and income, through informed prospect identification, cultivation and stewardship.

More specifically, this includes:

• Proactively identifying prospects that have a strong fit with our strategy in terms of alignment and capacity to give
• Building and managing the prospect pipeline across the team, and leading on 'moves management' to ensure we are effectively managing and supporting potential and existing prospects to have a great experience
• Ensuring our prospect development strategy is understood consistently across the wider Strategic Partnerships team
• Providing recommendations on how to engage prospects, considering motivations and existing networks
• Producing research profiles, reports and biographical briefings
• Developing and utilising internal and external prospect research databases and network mapping systems to identify sources of warm prospects
• Identifying relevant events for Partnership Development Managers to attend for networking and/or insight-gathering purposes, and developing detailed briefs on events speakers and attendees
• Ensuring quality control of prospect research processes and documentation
• Recommending appropriate and cost-effective research tools and manage this part of the expenditure budget.

About you:

• Educated to degree-level/equivalent educational standard, or significant equivalent work experience
• Strong understanding of the role of research in good prospect management, cultivation and stewardship (in commercial or not-for-profit environment)
• Experience carrying out prospect research for corporate partnerships using relevant databases and research tools
• Very strong research and analytical skills, including ability to produce detailed and insightful profiles and network lists for prospective individual and organisation partners
• Ability to analyse complex information and communicate clearly and credibly for delivery to a variety of audiences in written reports, presentations and meetings
• Stakeholder management knowhow to build and maintain great working relationships at all levels, and influence, internally and externally
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with ability to work under own initiative to meet deadlines and prioritise conflicting deadlines successfully
• Proven ability to translate understanding of business requirements into relevant market research audience insights, with ability to spot, interpret and identify opportunities from market trends
• Experience of using a fundraising or customer relationship management database (at WaterAid we use Microsoft Dynamics).

Sightsavers is looking for a Production Editor to provide editorial support and guidance for Sightsavers projects briefed in from around the organisation, including copy editing, commissioning and writing.

Location: UK remote - hybrid working, predominantly home-based with multiple office-based days each month in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

About the role

As production editor, you’ll write, edit and proofread content for Sightsavers’ printed brochures, documents and reports, as well as oversee editorial content for other projects produced by the web, design and branding team, including animations, videos and training materials. You’ll be tasked with editing copy from a range of sources to ensure it adheres to Sightsavers’ style guide, brand voice and accessibility guidelines.

For this varied role, we’re looking for someone who has the confidence to turn complex source material into engaging, compelling content. You’ll need a keen eye for detail, an excellent grasp of the English language and first-rate editing skills: the role would suit candidates with experience of sub-editing and proofreading, preferably in a high-quality print publishing environment. 

Job requirements:

• Proficiency in InDesign and Microsoft Office

• The ability to work confidently with internal clients and stakeholders and eagerness to work as part of a close-knit team
