Church Engagement Co-ordinator
Are you a self-starting, engaging communicator with a commitment to seeing the church equipped for mission? This role would be perfect for you and comes with the opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive team. We are based in Birmingham in the convent that used to belong to the Nuns from ‘Call the Midwife.’
You should have the skills and experience to develop and grow relationships with churches, Christian networks, and key partners to raise awareness of Interserve’s mission and encourage involvement in intercultural ministry. This includes promoting the work of Interserve and mobilising for ministry opportunities and related activities.
You will also manage and equip a group of Regional Connectors who engage with long and short-term enquirers, the broader Interserve community, local church and Christian networks.
You will need to have experience and skills of:
– Working with a range of church denominations
– Leading a small team
– Working in cross-cultural mission
– Excellent interpersonal skills for relationship building
– Confident in presenting ideas to others and public speaking
– Creative thinking
You’ll be expected to attend a number of events in person throughout the year, which may require travel anywhere in the UK. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week in our National Office in Birmingham.
