Would you like to help send donated medicines around the world to those who do not have access to live-saving medicines? IHP is recruiting a Logistics Officer to become part of our growing logistics team who coordinate the safe and responsible donation of medical products to where the needs are greatest, so that people don’t suffer needlessly from treatable illnesses.

As a Logistics Officer you will play an integral role in IHP’s work arranging the shipping of donated medicines and medical supplies, for example our essential health packs and antibiotics, ensuring their secure transportation to diaster hit and vulnerable communities such as Sudan and Gaza.

Your responsibilites will include:

• ​Securing cost effective shipping quotes from some of the largest freightforwarders in the UK
• Preparing shipping documentation
• Ensuring shipping files are accurate and kept up to date
• Communicating regularly with our donor companies and receiving NGO partners
• Updating offers on our management system

- You'll have administrative/record keeping experience or demonstable transferable skills

Your role

The archivist shapes the ongoing development of the archives and is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management and administration to best practice standards. The role is to care for, develop and promote the archive records of CMS in the UK in such a way that they are available for all present and likely future needs of staff, members and supporters, overseas partner churches and members of the public with identified research interests. An important part of this is to manage the archiving of digital material in a sustainable way.

This exciting Project Administrator role will support the administration and day to day delivery of our Family Zone project, working in partnership with the London Borough of Southwark. The Project Administrator will work closely with the Family Zone Project Manager and our external partners to deliver this whole family intervention aimed at supporting families where there is an adult struggling with their mental health

What does the role involve?

An exciting opportunity has arisen in East Sussex for a highly motivated and committed Family Worker to build on a well-established commissioned service.   

About the Role:  

Kinship is the leading kinship care charity in England and Wales. We work with all kinship carers – the grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and family friends who are caring for children when their parents can’t.  

We’re seeking an experienced Family Worker who is passionate about supporting kinship carers to get the right support at the right time. We are looking for someone who has the interpersonal and partnership skills to perform their role sensitively and creatively while also meeting reporting and impact requirements. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with East Sussex County Council and will share their ambition to support families to keep their children safe through support, advice and guidance.

You’ll be delivering our Kinship Connected programme offering support to special guardians and other kinship carers, providing emotional and practical support to carers in their homes and in the community over a six-month intervention cycle. You’ll also connect them with other kinship carers through peer support groups, as well as supporting to unlock community assets.   

This is a role where you’ll need to have strong boundaries and personal resilience – which we’ll also support through development and reflective practice. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Practical and emotional support to kinship carers virtually or in-person in their home or community.
• Signposting or referring to relevant national and local services.
• Liaising with other professionals and organisations.
• Attending professional meetings when the carer needs extra support (e.g. CIN. CP, family group conference, school meetings).

The SHP Somerset Cluster is based in the heart of the London’s theatre and shopping districts – the main hub is just off Drury Lane, with the other sites near Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road. The aim of the service is to support people over the age of 18 to navigate various support needs and develop the skills required to maintain independent accommodation long term.   

As a multiple disadvantage (MD) referral and move on coordinator, you will work as part of a larger support team to ensure that consideration is given to the individual experiences of multiple disadvantage when it comes to accessing and moving on from our service.   

You will work with people from their first interaction with the service: at the point of referral, ensuring that all aspects of someone’s experience is considered by undertaking a trauma informed, culturally sensitive assessment and supporting your colleagues to develop their awareness of these experiences. 

From here you will then support their journey through the service by working alongside other support staff to foster a culture of move on, supporting the development of holistic and realistic move on goals.   

This work will be underpinned and supported through the development of a move on programme. This programme, developed and overseen by the MD Referral and Move on Coordinators in partnership with the Recovery and Opportunity Coordinators, will be not only look to develop confidence and ability to navigate social systems, but also be accredited through SHP’s AQA Registered Learning Centre.   

In addition, you will carry your own caseload for people living in the step-down services to ensure that they are prepared, equipped, and confident about moving on. This may include identifying current barriers within the system that can prevent someone from moving on successfully or within their set timeframe. 

About you:

• Experience of coordinating projects across multiple teams or people with varying roles to achieve successful outcomes for vulnerable people
• Knowledge and awareness of the intersection of needs in people facing multiple disadvantage & strong understanding of how the intersection & co-occurrence of these issues can make it difficult for people to engage with support or to move on from services.
• The ability to judge the appropriate response to situations that you find challenging or emotionally difficult
• The ability to work as part of a team to ensure that everyone is clear in their roles and provide peer support and guidance when needed, working through any arising conflict professionally and successfully
• Strong time management skills, ability to work on own initiative, manage competing priorities and maintain high standards.
• Excellent administrative and IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, database usage and e-mail, and the ability to interrogate and extrapolate data from various sources

Introduction to the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a versatile professional to join our team as a

Venue & Tech Coordinator. You will be instrumental in providing venue management, tech and AV support for a variety of events, ranging from webinars to live streamed in-person concerts, talks and conferences. This aspect of the role will necessitate availability outside of standard business hours, ensuring our events run smoothly and effectively. Your skills will extend to operating sound desks, lighting setups, and demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving in a live event context.

Interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills will be paramount, as you will be collaborating closely with different segments of the team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.

Your role will also involve contributing to supporting the venue team, requiring a versatile approach and a readiness to adapt to various operational needs, and be the 'go-to' person for venue-related issues. Responsibilities

As the Venue and Tech Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

• Tech support for events: Providing technical support for webinars and in-person events, including sound and lighting setup and safe storage, and ensuring a seamless experience for participants. This will involve working outside of regular business hours on occasion.

• Contributing to venue management: A key member of the venue hire business, including client tech support, trouble-shooting, setup, clear-up and ongoing care of the venue, and viewings.

• Administrative support as needed by the charity: this aspect of the role may develop over time, responding to the needs of the charity and the interests and talents of the successful applicant.

• You have audio technology experience and understanding (mixing desks, connector types and uses, signal flow and gain staging etc)

• You are a strong logical thinker and love solving complex problems

• You enjoy team collaboration and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to coordinate and deliver technical aspects of events
