Main responsibilities:

About the role

As Senior Media and Campaigns Officer, you will play a key role in delivering Wellbeing of Women’s media relations and campaigns strategy. • Work with the Head of Communications and Campaigns to develop and deliver a proactive PR strategy to increase the reach of the charity.

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. A UK registered charity, we work in collaboration with Palestinian communities and trusted local partners, and coordinate with key stakeholders and relevant clusters, to meet a wide range of health and social needs, from providing vital medical aid in emergencies, to supporting the development of better health services for the long term. We also uplift the voices of Palestinians, and campaign for an end to the barriers to health and dignity that come from living through occupation, displacement, discrimination and conflict.

Purpose of role

MAP is in a period of growth and rapid development, and as such, the incoming Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for the financial strategy and management of MAP and for the leadership of operational areas to help deliver the organisation’s mission and strategic goals. The COO provides support to the CEO in areas of governance, legal and risk management and may deputise for the CEO as required.

Responsibilities

Strategy, vision and leadership

• Be accountable to the CEO and Board in the areas of finance, technology, risk and compliance, supply chain and logistics, and safety and security.
• Advise the CEO and SMT on financial planning, legal, governance and related policy matters.

Person specification

Working as an integral part of the ED Navigator team, our successful candidate will identify and assess young victims of violence and provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment, advice, referral and support service, exploring innovative and effective ways of supporting them which will reduce their risk of re-victimisation.

You will produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, which will include providing practical help such as social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options and appearing in court. We will also count on you to develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies and to close cases efficiently and positively, identifying a referral route for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support.

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families

SANE, a leading UK mental health charity, is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Individual Giving Manager to join our Fundraising team. The Advice Services Manager will take the lead on BIAS’s day-to-day advice services, managing a small team of welfare and housing advice specialists to ensure that we provide the highest-quality service to our clients. You will need to have experience of delivering front-line benefits and/or housing advice, strong people skills and the ability to build good working relationships with staff and clients, along with excellent organisational abilities to ensure that casework and projects are delivered on time.

In 2025, BIAS is expanding its successful Brent-based welfare and housing advice service into Haringey borough. The Advice Services Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager to build and develop the new advice service in Haringey, ensuring that we replicate our excellent quality of service, strong record of positive outcomes and loyal client base.

This role will also involve working with the leadership team to help identify areas for future development and support grant applications and reporting, which will give you the opportunity to have a direct impact on shaping the organisation’s future strategy and direction.

BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for over forty-five years. We deliver our support through our welfare advice drop-in service, our active ageing clubs and our Be-a-Friend volunteer scheme. We raise over £2 million in extra income for the most vulnerable every year and have over 3000 attendances at our club services. BIAS has exciting plans for further expansion in 2025 and has a range of medium- to long-term grant funding, including from Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.

About the role

In this role, you will help deliver high-quality support to unpaid carers by coordinating key elements of our advice and information services. You will manage a small team of freelance advisers, maintain oversight of our helpline provision, and ensure that the support carers receive is accurate, timely, and empathetic. You will also lead online information and peer-support sessions for carers, contribute to the development of helpful resources, and use data and feedback to inform service improvements. The role includes a safeguarding element, supporting the identification and appropriate response to any concerns. Experience in advice services would be an advantage, but we welcome applicants with transferable skills and a strong commitment to making a difference for carers.
 

About you

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and confident in communicating clearly and empathetically. You will have excellent planning skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of service. You may have experience coordinating people or services and ideally some familiarity with advice provision, helpline delivery, or the wider social care or welfare landscape - although this is not essential. You are comfortable working with data to support service improvement, understand the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality, and are motivated by making a positive impact on the lives of unpaid carers.

What will I need? To be considered as an Assistant Locality Manager you will need:

• Experience of working with people with a wide range of needs - for example, autism and complex learning disabilities

About the Role

This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for someone with strong finance and administrative skills. Working closely with the Finance Manager and Office Manager, you will support the organisation by:

· Processing donations, direct debits, Gift Aid claims, invoices and payment runs

About You

You will have at least three years’ experience in a finance and administrative role, with strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, and experience with finance systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero are essential.

Ideally, you will have experience working in the charity or not-for-profit sector, and familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems like Raiser’s Edge would be an advantage. Main Purpose of Position:

To provide urgent information, advice and guidance support for individuals in dealing with complex interlinked issues through intensive 1-1 personalised support service. Responsibilities/ Core Duties:

To provide a support service through 1-1 interview sessions, telephone contact, face-to-face and in-depth support with follow-up and record keeping. This post primarily involves providing focused support to help individuals deal with urgent financial, housing, health and benefits issues and provide ongoing support often acting as a conduit, with liaison, advocacy and referral to specialist agencies in health, housing, finance and debt advice, counselling, benefits, domestic violence, immigration and other legal matters. The post-holder must support Nova’s aims, objectives and ethos for clients, staff, senior managers and trustees.

The Role

We’re looking for a confident and motivated individual to join our team as a Training and Support Officer. The post holder may be required to work from other office locations in Sefton.
