Fauna & Flora is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Technical Officer, Enterprise to support the design, implementation and knowledge exchange of conservation enterprises and related local sustainable finance mechanisms that generate finance for conservation and/or improve the livelihoods of local communities at Fauna & Flora’s projects around the world.
You will be supporting business model development, private sector partnerships, project management, fundraising, capacity development and communications. You will work closely with our regional programme and partners in 20-plus countries, who are working on the ground to deliver conservation impact.
You will be a highly motivated and organised individual, looking to apply your expertise in business and finance to solve conservation challenges. You will have an understanding of developing business plans and developing financial models. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise across teams and cultures as well as from rural entrepreneurs to corporates and investors. You will enjoy applying your business skills to complex issues and explaining these in plain and accessible language. You will have excellent facilitation, training and coaching skills and passionate about supporting others to develop their knowledge and skills while being open to learning and able to quickly pick up new skills.
Fluency in English is essential and French is highly desirable. Knowledge of language relevant to Fauna & Flora’s work, such as Bahasa, Swahili, Russian, Portuguese or Spanish, will be highly valuable.
Fauna & Flora is part of the Cambridge Conservation Initiative in The David Attenborough Building, providing a great platform for collaboration with other conservation organisations and University of Cambridge departments and institutions. For more than 50 years, the British Dyslexia Association (BDA) has been the voice of people living with dyslexia. We aim to influence government and other institutions to promote a dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential. The BDA is established as the leading dyslexia charity in the UK.

Although awareness of dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties has grown, there are ongoing and widening gaps in access to the identification of dyslexia and the provision of expert learning support. Our national Helpline is busier than ever, supporting almost 5,500 people each year, reminding us on a daily basis why we must keep fighting for the rights of our beneficiaries.

Job Purpose: Simon Community’s Public Affairs & Policy Manager will lead our efforts in advocating for policies and initiatives that end homelessness across NI. The postholder will develop research-based policy positions, identify and deliver clear opportunities for public and political engagement, and mobilise support from a range of stakeholders. We are seeking an experienced individual to support the Corporate Partnerships Manager in ensuring the maximum potential income is generated from the corporate sector by reviewing, implementing, and maintaining a Corporate strategy.
The successful candidate will use the Donorflex CRM System to ensure a smooth supporter journey, will capitalise on existing supporters and work with the wider income generation team to identify new opportunities for corporate support and strategic business partnerships.

The Operations and Business Development Lead will play an important role in overseeing effective organisational service delivery and working closely with the CEO to develop the role of the charity within Surrey and beyond. The role requires overseeing delivery of key projects, managing a small team of staff and volunteers, developing long-term business plans and curating relationships with new partners and funders to ensure Include has the resilience to deliver against its mission into the future.
As OBD Lead, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team working with the CEO, Finance & Data Lead, Communications & Partnerships Lead & Clinical Lead to develop and deliver Include’s core services and processes, with an eye for sustainability, impact and long-term growth.
This is a hybrid role. You will be asked to assist at events or performances, in addition to regularly attending sessions and meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Develop, support, and improve service delivery of key activities
- Review and improve impact measurement processes
- Review and improve policies and procedures
- Review and improve governance frameworks
- Manage a team of staff and chair meetings
- Support with HR functions and structural
- Prepare and create reports for the benefit of CEO and board of trustees
Business Development and Fundraising
- Develop new relationships to improve the profile and reach of the charity
- Support the fundraising team with grant applications, community fundraising, donor management or corporate support as required
- Identify new revenue streams and opportunities
- Oversee, develop and support the funding strategy to ensure financial resilience
- Develop and update the organisation’s business plan
- Work with the senior leadership team to set achievable KPIs

Event Management
- Manage and coordinate Include events
- Evaluate event delivery and ROI
Volunteer Coordination

Salary: £46,800 - this is based on current resource and trustees are open to salary increases as funding becomes available.

- Experience working within the VAWG, youth and/or domestic abuse sector, or an excellent understanding of VAWG/ domestic abuse/ teenage relationship abuse
