The Job

The Learning Networks Portfolio Manager will:

• Report to the Managing Director

• Be employed on a permanent contract

• Be based remote or hybrid, with regular travel to London

• Be paid a pro rata full-time equivalent salary of £45,000-50,000

The Role In Brief

This position plays a central role in the delivery of Koreo’s work; responsible for a portfolio of the company’s biggest and most established programmes. It will be a varied role and will require someone to lead project teams in the design and delivery of high quality national learning programmes, while also playing a key role in the development of Koreo as an organisation
better able to build a just and regenerative future.

1. Responsible for the successful delivery and development of a portfolio of national learning programmes and projects. This portfolio of work is primarily focused on cross-sector learning programmes that bring cohorts of people together around learning missions. Examples include Civic Futures and the London Engagement Collaborative
with the GLA.
2. Responsible for sustaining and growing the portfolio, and with it Koreo’s profile, network, and income. This might be focused on developing the existing programmes in the portfolio, or could include wider writing, public speaking, pitching and networking
which support the distribution of the work.
3. An internal leadership role in developing a just and inclusive culture in which a diverse team can do its best work. This includes line management of one Project Coordinator, development of organisational practice and process, and work with the team on culture and development.

Strategic Leadership:

● Experience of a role with responsibility for the leadership of a team or portfolio of projects.

● Experience of strategy development and implementation, either at a programmatic or an organisational level.

Programme Management & Delivery:

● Experience of leading the design and delivery of learning programmes in an equivalent environment. 

● Experience leading projects which required the effective management of a range of stakeholders through project and programme work. You will be able to demonstrate how you have engaged with those stakeholders to build their connection with and investment in the project, and how you managed that work. 

● Experience of designing and facilitating learning/collaboration/experimentation spaces for individuals and groups, either in an organisational or programmatic context. 

● Skills & Knowledge which enable you to design high quality programmes and learning spaces, to support individuals with their learning, and to facilitate group spaces. 

● A familiarity with subjects relevant to Koreo’s work is essential. Successful candidates will likely be interested in subjects like collective impact, new approaches to power, working in and with complex systems, organisational design and psychology, participatory futures, activism and organising, multi-disciplinary practice, and much more that we don’t know about yet.

● An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a range of stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written skills.

Operational Excellence:

● Experience working in a role which required excellent project planning, management & reporting. 

● Experience working in a role in which you were responsible for building and then delivering against project budgets.

● Experience working with a CRM to manage relationships and programmes of work. 

● An ability to organise and manage yourself, to work and deliver at pace to a high standard across a number of projects, to spot and solve problems as part of a proactive attitude.

● An ability to cope well with competing demands and changing environments, demonstrating flexibility and an ability to work in different settings and with different people.

Development & External Influencing:

● An understanding of the landscape of social change work, with a particular focus on UK non-profit and public sectors and the needs of people, organisations and networks in this space. 

● Experience of winning, and/or growing projects or programmes of work to deliver on a business development target. This may be through growing existing projects, writing proposals/tender responses, or by taking a new idea from concept to operational delivery. Experience of doing this in an equivalent context is desirable.

● An ability to influence externally, with a particular focus on the production of content (in the form of blogs, articles, reports, videos, infographics) that support campaigns and external influencing. 

People & Culture

● An ability to building positive relationships in a small, busy and ambitious team, leading and able to hold relationships with colleagues and our wider community.

● A commitment to your own personal development and learning, and an understanding of how that development will be supported by your work at Koreo.

It’s desirable, but not essential that the person has:

● An understanding of Justice, EDI, and anti-oppression and how to apply that understanding into organisational development.

● Experience of designing and delivering cross sector learning networks.

● Experience of client and account management in a consultancy context.

● Experience of designing spaces for cross-sector groups.

Chalk Farm Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) is looking for a competent leader with a passion for social housing to manage our housing organisation.

Located close to the historic Camden Market, the TMO provides housing services and community activities for residents of the estate. Sustainably funded by Camden Council long term, this is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with experience in management and a real interest in social housing, who values the autonomy of working in a small and close knit organisation.

As estate manager, your main duties will be to:

1. Give the TMO the strategy it needs to deliver an excellent housing service for residents.

2. Ensure that the TMO is adequately and responsibly resourced.

3. Ensure that the TMO complies with the Management Agreement signed with Camden Council, all applicable legislation, and current best practice.

4. Provide effective day-to-day leadership, management and supervision of staff.

6. Ensure the effective delivery of the TMO’s housing management functions.

7. Work in partnership with the committee to deliver continuous improvement and good value across all TMO managed and contracted services.

This could be you if you have:

• 4 years+ experience of managing staff, and at least 2 years experience of reporting to a board;

• good knowledge of housing law or current issues relating to social housing;

• experience in procuring contracts and managing contractors;

• a proactive, can-do attitude, and an ability to motivate a team;

• excellent numerical and IT literacy, including a record of preparing and scrutinising budgets;

• Either a Level 4 Certificate in Housing, or an undergraduate degree (2:1 or above), and are prepared to enrol in the 1 year online Level 4 course by the Chartered Institute for Housing. 

The TMO is prepared to fund the Level 4 course, and to support a bright manager with a successful track record of delivery to transition into social housing.

Safe Evolve, Early Intervention service is a new service commissioned by the London Borough of Ealing and represent an exciting partnership with the Anna Freud. The service offers brief evidence-based individual and group interventions to address mild to moderate wellbeing needs largely using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), trauma-informed and mentalization approaches. It consists of two teams: one a specialist schools outreach service and the second a community well-being team for children and families.

We are looking for a Head of People & Culture to lead the Foundation’s People Team and be a key part of the directorate Leadership Team. Working with the Chief People Officer, the role provides strategic leadership to their team in embedding a business partnering approach and working across the employee lifecycle with the aim of maximising employee engagement through proactive and expert management of employee relations supported by effective and proportionate people processes. Key Responsbilities

Embedding Business Partnering

• Oversee and coach the People Team (and to personally deliver where required) on an effective business partnering approach, including:

• Developing a thorough understanding of the Foundation and relevant business areas and their strategic plans.

• Building effective relationships with leadership teams of designated business areas to provide insights into people management strategies.

• Developing plans and implement tailored people management interventions to support business areas to achieve their strategic aims.

• Working with business leads to identify skills and capabilities needed currently and in the future and proactively working with the Talent Management Hub to ensure that talent is acquired, developed and managed so that emerging and planned people and business needs are responded to.

• Using data and other metrics to identify trends and monitor progress.

People Operations

• Work across the employee lifecycle to develop a best-in-class employee experience.

• Ensure that all administrative processes are designed to be robust and accurate with the aim of supporting management processes; providing a positive employee experience; and, for the production of management information.

• Ensure that effective systems, checks and balances are in place for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and pensions each month.

• Ensure the collation of good quality data across all activities and develop metrics and evaluation processes to measure effectiveness.

The opportunity

University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking for an Event Manager to join our Development Events Team on a fixed term basis, covering a period of maternity leave. 

Supported by an Events Officer, you will lead on the end-to-end planning and delivery of key events to support UAL’s first major fundraising campaign, launching this Autumn. About the Role

Our team currently consists of 8 dedicated staff members and is led by our CEO, Anne Bishop. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a new role for BAUS. Purpose of job:

As our Philanthropy Lead, you will develop and implement a visionary strategy targeted at captivating the attention of ultra-high net worth and high net worth individuals, including a new generation of donors. Collaborating with colleagues from across the organisation, you will sculpt compelling funding propositions, and secure gifts spanning figures in the six and seven digits. Key responsibilities:

· To develop, deliver and monitor Comic Relief’s strategy for engagement of ultra-high net worth and high net worth individuals in line with our mission 

· To work closely with Talent to identify artists and their ecosystems who have the capacity and propensity to give financially and leverage support through networks

· To develop a robust prospect pipeline, effectively cultivate prospects and manage and steward relationships with existing donors

· To deliver and/or support with engagement events for prospects and donors, working with the Life Presidents, Trustees and other teams at Comic Relief as needed

· To work closely with the Funding Team to create  compelling propositions for high net worth individuals

· To represent Comic Relief in relevant philanthropic circles, specifically targeting next generation donors, wealth advisers, intermediaries and talent ecosystems

· To be results oriented while creatively develop new ways of reaching and communicating with our target audience of philanthropists, driving income against an agreed target and documenting learning to seek constant improvement 

· Drive accountability for annual revenue generation exceeding £1 million, with a focus on consistent year-over-year growth, targeting a minimum of £1 million for 2024/2025 and surpassing existing income levels of £800k+

Person specification

Essential criteria

· Solid experience of developing and delivering a philanthropy strategy which contributes to the organisations overall strategic aims on income and relationships.

· Solid experience of securing 5 and 6 figure gifts from philanthropists and/or family foundations

· Solid experience of high-level relationship management and support which enables senior stakeholder to grow income and networks

· Exceptional communication, networking, influencing, negotiating and persuading skills.

· Strategic Thinker – able to evaluate decisions in the short, medium and long term.

· Building and sustaining effective working relationships both internally and externally.

Desirable criteria 

· Experience of securing 7 figure gifts and working with leading philanthropist

· Strong sector knowledge and a familiarity with the charitable/funding sector 

· Experience with innovative outreach and creativity in developing new methods to reach and engage target audiences of philanthropists, along with a knack for driving income growth and leveraging insights for continuous improvement.
